Pros: **keep in mind, review is for guests who didn't park at all** Shower is by far the best of the hotels I have stayed at. The room was clean (but small, true to San Fran /Japanese style). Bed was also very comfortable. TV was small (~42 inches) but had a nice stand that could be angled alnost 180 degrees. Cleaning staff was very thorough and even organized our toilet trees for us that we left on the sink (I thought this was cool, others may see it differently). Overall clean and fancy facilities, nice staff. Good location in reference to Union Square.
Cons: We witnessed someone getting beat up by at least 4 individuals in an ally right across the street from the hotel. We still didn't feel unsafe in the hotel or around San Francisco, but maybe we should have? Other hotels wouldn't be immune to this problem either (to my best estimate). $6 waters in the room. No prices in the gift shop (yes I can afford it, but maybe I don't get the chips for $2.5 and just go for the $3.50 water instead or go to Starbucks that is attached to the hotel for $2 waters).

Pros: I enjoyed the hotel staff. What a wonder job the staff performs to ensure my stay was comfortable and one to remember. In most cases, when I requested services the response time was quick and expedient. If I had a question, the staff went well above my expectations to find a solution or answer. Stay here if you want to just run in auto-pilot and allow the staff of Nikko to do the rest.

Cons: The walls are quite thin, and because the toilets are vacuum toilets, they are louder than average toilets, and you can hear everyone flushing. The bathroom door is also a stylish (but not noise-blocking) glass barn door, so if you are sharing the room with someone, they will hear everything that is happening in the bathroom. There is a $25 fee to use the gym and pool, which I was not aware of when I booked the room.

Pros: I liked that we were able to find a great place on such short notice. The Manager on Duty, I think her name was Susan, was very helpful after one of the reservation agent accidentally mixed up our checkout time- and another Agent Brandon wasn't very kind to us. I ate most of my meals at the hotel, breakfast lunch and dinner- and I had three different bartender/servers during my stay that were all so very pleasant. Some even gave me directions to buy a hoodie at a nearby store because I didn't realize it would be colder there this time of year still. And the chef made me an awesome salad when I wanted to exchange tuna for chicken on the salad that comes with Lemon Dressing- it was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this substitution as the combination of greens and dressing go amazing with Tuna! It will cost you 2 dollars more as Tuna is more expensive (rightfully so) but it I ate the entire thing. I couldn't stop myself.

Pros: Everyone from the valet attendant, bellman, and front desk was beyond helpful and attentive. Even on a stormy rainy SF day, they were warm and ever inviting to me. They got me a room on the 27th floor with an amazing view of union square during the holiday season. I highly recommend. Also, the bathroom had great lightening and everything was very clean. Location simply can't be topped. Parking is a choice of valet between $41 around the corner and $60 front door. Wifi is also now FREE.

I also noticed a lack of the sort of amenities one might expect in a luxury hotel of this caliber—no bathrobes, WiFi was an extra charge, etc. Hard not to feel a little nickel-and-dimed which didn’t seem in keeping with the luxury atmosphere.

I also found it to be located in a hip area, being around the corner from the, reservations only, craft cocktail lounge Bourbon & Branch, and the best Thai restaurant (according to expats) in the city, Million Thai. I shopped many (endlessly beige and corporate) luxury hotels in the area, but was won over by this luxury hotel with personality. The room was very clean and quiet. We found the duvet and bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with a wonderfully relaxing shower. The reported remodeling was complete when I visited and I found that the photos were an accurate portrayal of the rooms. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, and would enthusiastically endorse it to friends and family.

Cons: We had to remind them on two occasions to clean our room. On the day before check-out,our room was not cleaned or refreshed. This was really the only negative,apart from the fact that the drinks in the main bar are quite expensive.

I couldn't tell what time of day it was, kind of like that feeling you get when you are in a Vegas Casino. One of the things that I liked about this hotel is that you don't feel like you're staying in a San Francisco boutique hotel (aka tiny, narrow walkways, tiny lobby's). I've been to SF a number of times and stayed in boutique hotels and after a while they get kind of eh. The JW Marriott was fantastic. It was clean, in a great location, and every one was helpful. The bathroom was very luxe, which is why I chose this hotel versus the Marroitt. I used the gym in the morning and it was clean and had your standard requirements for a gym. I would def recommend this hotel to others!
Cons: I was a little bummed that our drain didn't close. I wanted to take a bubble bath but wasn't able to. I would have complained but we were only staying for one night

Cons: I booked this reservation months in advance for a large group, and still, upon check-in there was alot of miscommunication and confusion about the reservation (how many rooms, names on the reservation, etc). Staff was not warm or particularly helpful at all, there was an obvious lack of hospitably and willingness to help that you receive at most hotels. The hotel itself is average, its very old and outdated inside, the walls are thin so u hear conversations next door, and the rooms are small. There were very limited hours for the restaurant/lounge downstairs, and overall was just someolace you'd go to sleep and thats it. It really was just ok. Many other hotels in the area that offered more for the price. I wouldnt stay there again.

Pros: Loved the old charm of the hotel- the staff was extremely welcoming and very nice. The location was great- we could walk to most places we wanted to go or just catch the trolley. Also has a 7eleven convenient store and a walgreens across the street which was nice to grab quick snacks or water for night or morning. Good find! Would definitely come back for the price- we enjoy the city and like spending more on doing things while traveling rather than a place to sleep- so it was a win win for us!

Pros: This boutique hotel is small but has a lot of character. It was built over a century ago. A renovation to the interior has been done bringing it up to date. The exterior is being repainted now. Being in the heart of Union Square makes it very handy for shopping or anight out. The staff are what make the hotel special though. Pros: Loved the boutique vibe that the hotel has, it seems SF is lacking modern hotels that are similar to the Ace and plentiful of tacky hotels. The decor is very minimal, with concrete floors- it feels similar to a loft you would want to live in. The restaurant downstairs had a really great brunch and the staff were very friendly. The actual location is pretty central, so it's not that difficult to leave the touristy area of Union Square.
Cons: There wasn't a mention of the $45 (plus tax) for the valet. So that got a bit expensive. You also have to call 30 minutes ahead. The shower is also a lukewarm temperature. And a bit difficult to work with it being stuck.

The rest of the staff seemed unimpressed with the hotel themselves and in fact mocked the hotel for intentionally using "false advertising" to lure customers into staying there. Upon arriving we received a "complimentary upgrade," which off the batt seemed wonderful, but once we entered the room we were appalled; we couldn't even imagine what our original room would have looked like. When I called down to complain about the striking difference from the pictures on the website the woman at the front desk replied that what I saw online was called "photoshop." The room was spacious, but empty; there was no headboard, safe or amenities. The hotel offered nothing, but rooms and was not the kind of place you looked forward to returning to at the end of a long day. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would never return myself. For a couple hundred dollars more I could have stayed at the nicest hotel in San Francisco. This hardly ranks with the top hotels in the city, despite its high prices and false four star advertising online.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom immaculate, both the heat and a/c worked famously and overall - our stay was great! Pros: We loved Hotel Fusion so much! Stayed here for two nights after we drove up the coast. The decor and architecture was so amazing and inviting from a long day on the busy streets. We arrived early and they let us check in a little earlier then expected, because the rooms were ready and we wanted to rest for a bit. The bar was dark but romantic, with a spooky theme for Halloween. The staff went above and beyond everyone so friendly, Espcially the fun doorman with the puppet and the very friendly front desk woman. Thanks so much Hotel Fusion, we will definitely be back!!

Cons: The wifi was not free and I was bumped from a room with double beds to a room with a single bed. I would have been okay with the change if I had been notified beforehand or been compensated somehow.

Cons: I did not like getting double charged for the stay because the KAYAK/AMOMA credit system was not working. I also did not like getting fraudulently charged for food I did not order nor a long distance phone call on a room phone that did not work. I will not be booking with either Hilton or Kayak in the future.

Pros: The location was convenient, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: For such an expensive stay, there were few amenities. Traveling with an infant, it was very inconvenient not to have a fridge or microwave in the room. We ended up ordering a bottle warmer from Amazon Now because there was no other way to warm his bottle. Also, the internet connectivity was poor. The parking fee was very high. .

Cons: Oh boy..where should i begin? i was on a long business trip, checked in for 21 nights. Unfortunately i've experienced more issues in this hotel than in any other hotel i have ever stayed in, not just Hilton.. and trust me i stayed in many of them! Here's a summary of my experience at the HILTON SAN FRANCISCO FINANCIAL DISTRICT: [Air conditioning] At the very beginning, i was given an 'Upgraded' room with a nice city view, a balcony, and a non-working air conditioner. I called the front desk, who sent a technician that fixed the issue for an hour then it died again. The day after, i called the front desk and they sent a technician for the 2nd time, who told me this time that i either need to change my room or let him replace the entire air conditioner unit which will take 2-3 hours. Since it was 9 PM,i suggested he will enter my room during the day while i am at work and replace the unit, the technician confirmed and said he will come back the day after. a day passes by, i come back from work at around 9:30PM , and the air conditioner is still dead. I go to the front desk and they appologize and suggest to replace my room, i agree to do it the day after. [Water leakage] Overnight, at around 3AM i hear the sound of drops.. i turn on the light, and there is a WATER LEAKING FROM THE CEILING directly into my open luggage!!! I had to empty my luggage in the middle of the night and put it upside down to dry. clothes are now wet and stinky! The hotel management appologized and changed my room immediately. The managers (Anthony / Alonso) suggested to take my clothes and send them to the dry cleaning and so i did.. I thought that this will be the last incident i'll have..but of course i was wrong! [The noisiest room] Next, They put me in a new room which had a scenic view to the Bay, but unfortunately located next to the elevator which is the busiest area in the floor. Quickly enough i realized that the Elevator is not the only problem in the room, because right next to the elvator there's the floor's vending and ice machines which was used 24/7 so it was probabely the noisiest room in the hotel. (Who doesn't like to wake up in 2AM to the sound of a coca-cola bottle dropping of a vending machine right next to your door?) In that room (2701) i also had neighboors who: - brought a dog and put the dog in the balcony for hours, - smoked a bunch of blunts and threw the butts on my side of the balcony - Partied all night with loud music (till 4 AM) even though i called the front desk and the front desk confirmed that they will take care of it (which they never did. obviously!) [Keys that never works] Over a week or so, Digital key (Hilton app) wouldn't work anymore. I had to ask for Physical keys, which unfortunately didn't work more than once or twice. Eventually i had to go to the front desk and replace my Physical keys about 5-6 times in a week. [Elevator with a surprise!] At te evenings, you'll enjoy a long waiting line to the elevator. one of the evenings i waited in the lobby for 20 min just to get into an elevator! Eventually it seems like taking the elavator is slower than taking the stairs But that's not all, one day the elevator door opened and a revealed a very surprised couple who had sex inside the elevator!! (March 27th around midnight) So, if your'e into kinky sex scens you might want to wait for the elevator after all. [Overcharged] To make this stay epic - the final reciept shown that i've been overcharged $605 for parking that i never used!!! Called the accounting department and they admitted their mistake. [Conclusion] SOMTHING NEEDS TO CHANGE IN THIS HOTEL! and i say that as a Hilton Diamond club member who spent 100+ nights in the last year only. Due to tis stay, I am currently re-considering keeping my Diamond status, already registered to IHG and Marriot for my next stays.

Pros: I didn’t like anything. I was forcing myself to like it, but the customer service of the stuff and the manager on site was the poorest I’ve ever experienced!
Cons: Let’s start with cleaning the room , following social distancing (which wasn’t happening in that hotel when I traveled) and of course, customer service has to be improved. Sooner the better

Pros: It's location was ok. Pretty much in the middle of all the sites. It got the job done as a place to lay at night. I felt safe enough with the metal gate and a security guard at night. I rented a car and street parking, while free at night, was kinda hard. but very doable. 3 straight nights i found free meter (9pm-9am) parking within 3 blocks of the hotel. While there was a lot of bums, they seem harmless enough, but there was a lot. Hotel staff wasn't answering the door when we first arrived but eventually got in after several calls and ringing the bell over ad over. I'd defiantly stay at better place in a better area if i ever go back to SF, but for the price it was good.
Cons: Didn't like that i had to call and ring the bell over and over until i got in. Location is right near tenderloin with all the crazy bums.

Pros: The proximity to Union Square and Powell station was convenient. The immediate neighborhood (the Tenderloin) was dodgy. I wasn't hassled going back and forth, but I was very aware that there were people living on the street, and some who appeared to have varying degrees of mental health/addition issues. The gentleman who received me was polite and professional, so I was pleased about the courtesy.
Cons: The photos posted on this website and others are inaccurate. Perhaps there are rooms that look like that. Mine did not. My bed had two different types of hair on it when I arrived (one black and curly; the other, long and brown). The mattress was covered in plastic, likely for my protection (bedbugs, fleas?). The bed felt like a foam pad on top of planks of particle board. The blanket was a dingy gray and looked like it had not been laundered in 17 years. Someone kept taking the toilet paper in the shared bathroom, so I purchased my own, which I took back and forth with me. When I tried to take a shower, I could not: The entire bathroom had been soiled. The tub was covered in heavy dirt streaks and what appeared to be blood. There were bits of bloody paper towels stuck on the glass; perhaps the person had tried to clean after themselves, but they failed miserably. It was a public health hazard, in my opinion. It seemed that some occupants were actually living there, which didn't make me feel comfortable. I have stayed in some very, very inexpensive places/hostels in traveling, including in the developing world, and none had these issues with respect to the bathroom/bathing facilities. It is too bad - the bathroom itself looked remodeled. But the terrible state of it turned my stomach. I generally don't leave bad reviews, but my friends encouraged me to do so for future visitors. Just know that this place appears to be VERY hit or miss.

Cons: We didn’t actually get to stay here. Since the front desk was not open past 11 per the website, we had to cancel our first night. Went the second night we had booked and they had tossed our reservation and had no rooms. Still got charged for both nights even though we didn’t stay there at all.

Pros: I like that guests are provided q front door key and that there is not a 24 hour desk smiling and greeting you evwrytime youcomw amd go, small hotels can tend to bw o. The nosey side and we all know that once bias sets in it is over for the defenseless traveler.
Cons: Front desk man has rhe personality of a catty teenager, shotty, spoiled, and kind of a priss about everything thing. It gets old. Also, more towels are needed and there are bugs, lots of bugs.

Cons: DO NOT STAY HERE. First, it shouldn't even be called a hotel. There's no bathrooms in the rooms, it's like an old dormitory from 1834. It smells like an old lady. If you try to call, they won't answer the phone because it goes to a Google voice number. Shower is locked after 10 pm. Communal bathrooms that have trouble flushing. Noisy. Crack heads. No toiletries. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! Run and never look back.
