The staff was always friendly, the fruit and water we received upon arrival and the turn down service every night are also nice touches. Housekeeping was attentive.

Pros: We stayed in an Imperial Club Room which was like a suite and means I would expect the comfort and luxury we got for the price we paid. My reviews are totally based on this and obviously if you stayed in a normal room you will have a different experience. Extra things are included when you pay for an Imperial Club Room. We also requested a quiet room if possible so were high up and had no issues with noise (this was based on previous reviews where people had issues with noise).

Pros: I liked that we were able to find a great place on such short notice. The Manager on Duty, I think her name was Susan, was very helpful after one of the reservation agent accidentally mixed up our checkout time- and another Agent Brandon wasn't very kind to us.
I ate most of my meals at the hotel, breakfast lunch and dinner- and I had three different bartender/servers during my stay that were all so very pleasant. Some even gave me directions to buy a hoodie at a nearby store because I didn't realize it would be colder there this time of year still.
And the chef made me an awesome salad when I wanted to exchange tuna for chicken on the salad that comes with Lemon Dressing- it was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this substitution as the combination of greens and dressing go amazing with Tuna! It will cost you 2 dollars more as Tuna is more expensive (rightfully so) but it I ate the entire thing. I couldn't stop myself.

Pros: Everyone from the valet attendant, bellman, and front desk was beyond helpful and attentive. Even on a stormy rainy SF day, they were warm and ever inviting to me. They got me a room on the 27th floor with an amazing view of union square during the holiday season. I highly recommend. Also, the bathroom had great lightening and everything was very clean. Location simply can't be topped. Parking is a choice of valet between $41 around the corner and $60 front door. Wifi is also now FREE.

Pros: We've stayed at the NYC Marquis Times Square so we figured we would get the same experience at the San Fran location But not the case at all... the gentleman that assisted us with check in wasn't pleasant. We weren't to happy about the double bed room or the tub that stopped up. Moving forward we know every Marquis isn't the same except for the parking rate, it's $75 no matter what location.

Between the pillow top and extra feather bed layer it was firm and cozy and my husband didn't snore away in the night. We're buying the feather bed insert for our home.

Pros: The location is excellent! I visited for an event at the Moscone centre and the location couldn't have been more ideal. The exhibition centre was just a short walk away, all the shops were close too, aswell as China Town and the Northern Quarter! The hotel is also right on the tram route. Pros: This boutique hotel is small but has a lot of character. It was built over a century ago. A renovation to the interior has been done bringing it up to date. The exterior is being repainted now. Being in the heart of Union Square makes it very handy for shopping or anight out. The staff are what make the hotel special though. Edward at the front desk went over the top to make our anniversary extra nice.

Pros: Loved the boutique vibe that the hotel has, it seems SF is lacking modern hotels that are similar to the Ace and plentiful of tacky hotels. The decor is very minimal, with concrete floors- it feels similar to a loft you would want to live in. The restaurant downstairs had a really great brunch and the staff were very friendly. The actual location is pretty central, so it's not that difficult to leave the touristy area of Union Square.

Pros: Majority of the luxuries were fine except for several key items were a complete failure. The heating system is archaic, loud and blew cold air. Front desk came but was not able to resolve the issue and their engineer was off that evening. It was a major problem because it was in the dead of winter and slept in the room in 30°F temperature or so. We survived the evening with four layers of blankets.
Secondly the toilet cover was broken.
And lastly the coffee pot machine wasn't working properly.

Pros: The staff was friendly, room was clean and quiet (we asked for a quiet room) and location can't be beat. We will be staying at Villa Florence again!

Pros: The location was great. Close to Powell station which made it easy to get to the hotel using BART. Union square was a block away and the turnaround for the cable car was a couple blocks away too.

Pros: The staff were very helpful and the location was perfect for getting around. Ask for a quiet room at the back as street noises can be annoying at the front, on Powell. I would definitely stay here again.
