We were corralled and moved and waited hours while they ran around doing nothing."

They tried to charge me $850 US. For 1 extra bag. After complaint that amount is crazy. They brought the manager over who then told me to bring him $450 in cash and they would accept it Big Scam. After going to the bank machine in the airport and getting the money. The manger put the money in his pocket and took my bag I couldn’t do much because i was about to miss my flight STAY AWAY. From this airline They have some inside scam going on with their employees STAY AWAY. Don’t become a victim like I did

We waited in line to check the bag, found out that since we hadn't paid for it ahead of time, we could get the bag checked but would need to go stand in a new line to pay for it and could not have the bag tag until this was done. Then the new line only had one agent working all of the people who needed to pay for their bags. When we got to the front, we were asked to pay the bag fee with a credit card and the processing fee in cash. Since we were only connecting in Singapore, of course we did not have cash. She could not process the charge, walked us over to a new desk and a new line where they processed the bag charge without the cash fee (how this wasn't done initially, I have no idea) and finally, we were finished with the check in process an hour later."

Very old aircraft. Several seats had broken handles. Media system did not work for several people. I really hope they upgrade to new aircrafts soon or else they'll be losing a lot of customers.

Pros: "I am not a fussy person but how is one to sit in a long haul flight with the bathroom smell wafting out. All the passengers in the last 2 rows we're distressed. That said, the crew did the best they could with what they had by repeatedly spraying air freshener."
Cons: "The smell - last straw for me. Direct flights and 5 hours saved aren't worth this."

Cons: "Nothing worked. A bathroom was out of commission, 2 of three consoles on my row didn't work. Mine flashed a bright light every 5 seconds, forcing me to rip up the magazine to fashion a hood. Flight attendants were absolutely unresponsive. Everything was tired and old. Won't fly again."

Cons: "-plane is aged -one curved long nose (diamond stud pierced) lady stewardess was oversmart and deliberately skipped two rows without offering coffee. Very inconsiderate and eventually her peers had to take care of that when they actually came to collect cups! -lady announcer could not announce landing properly twice! Could not read basic English at all!"

Cons: "This was a one hour flight starting at 730 AM. I expected a reasonable breakfast in the business class. I was surprised that they served a micro sandwich and a slice of cake with tea/coffee - that’s all."

Cons: "Cabin crew was mediocre at best. Their attentiveness was lacking at the finest of moments. The food options were unappealing and lacked in variety. I was unsure if there was a difference between a breakfast meal and a dinner meal. The cabin crew also did not have enough meat options for all the passengers and did not provide anything as much as an apology for such. The worst part of the journey were the other passengers and their lack of consideration for those around them. If the cabin crew were more attentive and informed passengers to return to their seats and keep the aisles clear there potentially would have been less of an issue."
Pros: "the food was vegetarian but far better than most of the domestic flights I take in the US. The food was also included in the price of the ticket. I wasn't left debating whether to buy a boxed snack for $8 or survive on peanuts and pretzels."
Cons: "Crew seemed to completely disappear mid flight for hours at a time. No one came when the assistance button was pressed, and passengers were helping themselves to refreshments from the food station as no one was around to help. The maps and camera features didn't work, and movies would exit randomly leaving us to spend 10 minutes fast forwarding to where we left off."

Pros: "I liked that I arrived safely. The crew were all pretty nice as well."
Cons: "Plane was extremely run down and dirty. There was dust and dirt on the windows and cabin panels, and the seat back entertainment was falling off of the chair in front of us. The bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned ever. It generally felt like Air India does not maintain their aircraft, which makes me wonder if they do their safety maintenance on time as well. In addition, after we had taxied to the runway and were about to take off, the pilot suddenly returned to the gate because "something looked wrong." All of that adds to the feeling that this airline does not do proper maintenance."
Cons: "Plane interior was pretty worn. Seat components falling apart, carpet really dirty. Main door gasket falling off. They were cutting it off as we boarded!!"
