Then as it was a night flight, he fell asleep and snored in my ear - I didn't get any sleep at all. All in all it wasn't a nice experience."

Pros: "My seat had a problem initially it was not reclining once they fixed that later the seat got deflated. It became unbearable to seat. The crew tried fixing it for about 30 mins and they then they changed my seat. Ideally I would want refund for the flight as my experience was extremely bad"

Cons: "While going Airport staff was not at all good at Chicago airport. I had a carry on bag, which I had been using in all other airlines as carry on for last couple of years and never was told that the size is not right. I was asked to either check in carry on as extra baggage and pay $300 or put my carry on stuff in my other checked in baggage and pay extra for over limit $120. And I have to trash my carry on of $80 value. I was not at all happy. I noticed in the flight so many passengers have the same size carry on, which I have to trash. On my return journey from Delhi to Abu Dhabi I was talking to a woman in the security line, who was sharing the same experience and she told me that they charge her $400 for one extra suitcase. To me that was shocking as how come I was asked $300 for extra checked in bag and she was charged $400. No idea what kind of policies Etihad has for extra baggage. I would like Etihad management to pay attention to the airport staff dealings with customers."

Cons: "There was a delay due to poor weather. Although I was still able to make it to my connecting flight in time, they automatically switch my flight due to my bags not having enough time to be transported to the plane. As a result, I was stranded in Abu Dhabi for 12 hours. In fairness it's not the airlines fault and they did provide a hotel and shuttle bus for my short stay. What added to the frustration was the fact that they waited for the shuttle bus to be completely full (with people sitting in aisles) before taking us to the hotel. We got there too late for dinner, since all that waiting around resulted in a two hour trip for what should have taken 20 minutes. Since we had to leave so early in the AM, we didn't get breakfast either."

Cons: "I spent 15 minutes on the phone to Abu Dhabi at my own expense (international rates, no free phone number) 3 days prior to this flight to order a vegetarian meal. The phone consultant assured me she'd ordered it. However onboard the flight attendants said it had not been ordered and even accused me of not phoning up. I almost had to get out my skype phone records to prove I had tried to order the meal. One flight attendant said he would order it for the next leg of my flight, but when i got on that flight it showed he had not ordered it. I had tried to order this meal 5 times via the etihad website and it did not work. I also added my frequent flyer number which showed as going through, but it did not register (a fact i only found out after the flight). Also felt uncomfortable with the fact the safety video was only half translated into English. Arab speakers had a travel prayer said, English speakers did not get the prayer."
Cons: "The ground staff at Dallas were extremely rude. Made an old woman cry. Did not use common sense to check in people. They were weighing even obvious very small back packs that were obviously less than 3 lbs. talked to people in a rude manner and were not very helpful. I flew more 15 times in the last years. By far the worst experience. Flew emirates. Delta. Klm France airways. British airways. Even kenya airways. American and united. By far the worst experience. Service service"

Cons: "the Food is the worst ever, i had better experience on an economy class with a budget airliner. on the 4 sectors i had with Etihad, it was breakfast menu no matter what time it was and it was the same choices which had to do with a form of eggs. i opted not to be served. the plane is old, seat is not functioning well, entertainment screen was not touch and had to be operated with the remote which was not working. really it was a huge disappointment. may be Etihad reserve their good stuff for the European and American sectors. I will never fly Etihad business unless I have no choice."

Cons: "Air hostess were very rude. Her name is Iliana , none of them have name tags on. I guess that will he the first thing any passengers would expect. Food was not served as per the menu. They gave away whay ever they wish. To ask for water we had to request 4-5 times. The air hostess Iliana was bumping constanly into us, and does not even have courtesy of apologising. Because of her I could not even sleep for a second in the plane. Iliana is very racist. When multi cultural people are around, it a common sense that we have to talk in a language which is understandable by every one. She was speaking in the local language, and messing around with the fellow passengers for a small issue. She is definitely not fit as an air hostess, if she is there as a racist. there was another air hostess who as shouting at us to book business class if we need to order individually. A kid beside me was asking for an ice cream if we had a chance of purchasing it, like we do in domestic airlines. When I was requesting for the ice cream, she mentioned it thrice to book a ticket in business class. Rude absolutely very very rudeeeee. Untolerable service.....worst really worst service. There was no blanket and ear plugs kept on my seat, I request iliana thrice for blanket and ear plugs, she was like i will give you after I serve everyone, but I never had one through out my journey. This is how Eithad has trained their air hostess to handle passengers. seriously I will never ever choose eithad."

Pros: "I thought the food was awesome, and not just for airline food. The vegetarian that I had was excellent. Crew was very friendly and helpful, plane was clean, seats comfortable. On the long flight we were all supplied (even in economy!) earplugs, a neck pillow, blanket and earphones. Everyone has their own little screen and the TV and movie selections were good, like having cable TV in the air, but no commercials."

Cons: "Service in coach was mostly not great. The plane is too big, the logistics of servicing and managing that many people efficiently and effectively is still not figured out. For a 14-hour flight, there wasn't enough water and beverages offered. Requests were often met with frustration on the part of the flight attendants. Also, the plane was delayed 2 hours with no explanation. Because this plane leaves from a US pre-clearance gate, there is no restaurant or bar or lounge to sit in — just one small, overrun coffee cart."
