KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Paris to Rome

  • Looking for a cheap flight? 25% of our users found flights on this route for $63 or less one-way.
  • From Paris, you can fly from one of the international airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Paris-Orly (ORY), Beauvais-Tille (BVA), among others. Although the Charles de Gaulle Airport (about 14 miles from Paris) is the largest flight hub in Paris, flying to Orly Airport is the most convenient access to Downtown Paris, as it lies about 8 miles away.
  • In Rome, there're two primary airline hubs, the Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci) Airport (FCO) and Ciampino Airport (CIA). The former has five terminals, while Ciampino's has one departure terminal, which means Fiumicino airport is ideal for reliability and robust international connections.
  • If you're traveling to Rome for business, we recommend that you fly to Ciampino Airport. It's nestled nearest to the city, about 7.5 miles away, and provides affordable and convenient access to business-centric points of interest, such as the EUR and The Cloud Conference Center.
  • To relax and enjoy VIP lounge services, fly from Charles de Gaulle or Orly airports. At Charles de Gaulle, you can choose Salon ICARE lounge, Star Alliance, and airline lounges (Air France, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, and American Airlines). At Orly Airport, you'll find an Air France Lounge, Corsair Grand Large, and Salon ICARE.
  • Orly Airport has two strategically located terminals (Orly-Sud and Orly-Ouest). Its layout is simple to navigate and has several ground transportations to the city, including airport shuttles, several city bus lines, taxis, and Orlyval, RER, and trains. The airport is even more convenient for a traveler who’s accessing the airport from the Left Bank.
  • Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci) Airport (FCO) is a hub for ITA Airways. Meanwhile, Ciampino Airport (CIA) is an important hub for low-cost carriers like Ryanair, Scoot and easyJet.
  • If you’ll be travelling with a large suitcase and carry-on luggage, it’s worth looking at business-class flights between Paris and Rome. Many of the cheap economy fares don’t include luggage, and once you add everything you need, the prices can be similar but without the other benefits of business class.

We accidentally purchased twice the bags we needed. Our fault, but the ticket was not clear to us, and it asked us to purchase bags at checkin. When we notified them to get credit back at the airport, they said to contact customer service. We flew the flight and then contracted customer service. They said no credits after the flight has flown. Not customer service oriented at all. They know we didn’t check that many bags and kept our money for a service they did not provide. Be aware and very careful of what you are purchasing from them because they will not make it right if there is an error.

sadly in Basel & Naples- no jetway we had to climb up and down stairs with our max size carry-on luggage, which was not fun!!!

This was our first time using them. I gave okay ratings for food and entertainment because it was minimal or not provided so I couldn't judge, but much better than most budget carriers we have ever used.

We were charged a ridiculous amount for a name spelling error on ticket which I would’ve corrected if I received pre-check info more than 1/2hr before flight. Then we were told at ticket counter that our bags were fine for boarding but then we’re charged another ridiculous amount to take in our luggage despite being told differently. Flight itself was great. Charges were unfair.

Apart from an email about re configuring passenger seating less than 24hrs before flying it was all good.

There were a lot (4 I think) of EasyJet flights leaving Agadir, we arrived two and a half ours before our flight. Very slow to get through the booking in, passport control and security!! We had booked in on line but had to Queue with others who had not to drop our bags off!,

We boarded and then sat on the tarmac for an hour….probably not E Jets fault. But the gentleman that checked us in and took our luggage was exceptionally friendly and calming for early morning/ confused passengers. As always, it’s the people that make or break an experience, right?

I was hesitant to book with a low cost airline due to previous experience but Easy Jet surpassed my expectations. I would definitely book a flight with them again! Seemless booking, upfront about baggage fees, professional, and helpful staff.

Kayak sent several notifications that the flight was late. This contradicted the information on the airport boards. This was extremely confusing and we very nearly missed the flight purely because we double checked with the info desk when the flight stays said’closed’. Kayak notifications are therefore unreliable and pointlesa

Usual issues with flight delay. Perennial problem of travel by plane.

Flight was over an hour late. Boarding was really messy with long queues at the plane.

Cabin crew couldn’t be less interested. Cabin manager was the most arrogant and the rudest I’ve encountered in many years.

The worst flight ever. Sitting in plane for 4 hours delay and then they change crew. No water or food offered to any passengers including children in that time. Only 2 toilets out of 3 operating for flight with 200 passengers. Only enough food available for about 7 rows of seats depending where you sat you might be lucky. Cabin crew very unfriendly.

Delayed and changed Multiple times after booking necessitating many. Travel changes ; a bit of an issue

ontime and super quick boarding and disembarking. I made it in 6 min from airplane through passport control to the train platformin Cologne. Amazingly quick airport.

Their customer service needs an overhaul. I wish we could access them and the could be more helpful. Also, the website has been crashing and I had numerous technical errors. My flight was cancelled and we spent so much time trying to get help because the tech was failing.

They lost a bag and now our vacation is ruined

Flight details on public information screen were misleading and wrong.

I liked nothing. An extremely uncomfortable flight, staff were rude, no ice for my drink. 4 hours of misery

Was very good the flight, 15 minutes late, but was very ok!!!😊👏

Boarding kept us waiting for ~15 minutes in the sleeve. Other than that, excellent for a low cost carrier.

Low cost carrier, you get what you pay for. Cardboard-quality seat, no recline, minimum pitch, bus-to-board service (no jetbridge), and overworked/underpaid flight attendants. But, they got the job done on-time with no major catastrophes.

The behavior of the front desk and lack of explanation of hidden fees and prices in emails send pre-flight marred things up. 1 star

2 hours delay, very disappointing, at least they didn’t cancel at all as they do often

I miss my flight due to boarding pass won’t load up

Flight schedule was modified and the final departure time delayed.

Big delay because of the weather but communication not so good. Boarding already late (due to tight schedule on Wizz side). When you get in you are hurried every second even if you still need a few seconds to arrange your bags. Food far away from how it looks in the catalogue and right on row 8 already out of chocolate although you are supposed to receive one for a menu. No replacement was offered.

The border control opens at 4:30 so there is no point in going in early as the wizz email suggests. Our flight utilized a plane with plastic seating which was really uncomfortable.

Check in took very long. All three priority agents left for lunch or something and the line did not move.

Il n’y a pas eu de vol du tout puisque celui à été déplacé à la veille sans aucune information. Aucun remboursement ni service client non plus. Scandale !
