Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "This time Singapore Airlines Staff seem to be not so helpful. Previously they were happy to help with smiling face and approachable immediately. This time in spite of asking for help in the cabin no one turned up even after multiple requests. I could only get help when someone one walks next to me."
Pros: "Newer Aircraft and very convenient"
Cons: "I dont see any thing to improve"
Pros: "Crew will do anything to help"
Cons: "I was on a nut free diet However they still gave me a ice cream covered in macadamia nuts. Nut free meals were also gluten, vegan etc so very bland"
Cons: "crew isnt very careful in serving the food but its not really that bad. but im just comparing it from my previous flights so i think that group of FA's can do better. And the food was served a bit a late so they dont have time to serve hot beverage anymore."
Cons: "I recomended yo my friend"

Pros: "I like all"
Cons: "Softer seats and more movies"
Pros: "Overall good"
Cons: "Boarding needs better management."
Pros: "Nothing beats Singapore SQ!"
Pros: "Staff are great and on board service was good. Boarding is always well organised from Changi however it was a full flight and as always half the passengers exceeded their carry on allowance. Rather than addressing this bags were flung everywhere no nowhere within your actual reach during the flight. Very annoying when you are a passenger who does the right thing."
Cons: "See above. No in flight entertainment makes you feel like you're flying with the low cost carrier rather than a full service airline."
Pros: "Friendly and helpful crew. Efficient service and good boarding. Seemingly wider seats than the newer A350s."
Cons: "Positively ancient entertainment system with poor selection and bad visual quality. Ads pop up every time you go into another menu. If you're flying SIN->BNE I'd avoid the 7.20am departure, you'll get the old 777-200s rather than the A350s they run on other departures."
Cons: "When refreshments were being served they did so in a hurry for some reason and missed passengers including myself. We had to call for an attendant to serve the refreshments who seemed a little annoyed at that."
Pros: "Brand new aircraft, excellent service and food"
Cons: "J class seat, 12A window. Top of my seat curled around my sides, which blocked vision thru 1.5 of the 3 windows I had access to. The enclosure also protuded into my left bicep when I had my elbow resting on the arm rest. Table on my right hand side was too close to my body, and to high to reach a drink easily, I literally had to lift my whole right arm to pick up a glass."
Pros: "Great service."
Cons: "Disinfectant smell."
Pros: "Seats more comfortable than premium economy, staff more helpful!"
Cons: "Food was ordinary"
Cons: "The desserts. The bun."

Cons: "Nothing special."
Pros: "Was very old plane but was good"
Cons: "Food and crew was well"
Pros: "I've always flown Singapore airlines wherever possible. Standards are unbeatable until this flight..."
Cons: "The dinner was terrible. I am a long time customer of Singapore Airlines and I know where the standard are. The food on this flight was the worst I've seen. The starter (vermicelli) was overly salty, dry and severely undercooked. The main course was acceptable but the portion of chicken was more like side dish not main. Missing sides."
Pros: "I liked there was entertainment"
Cons: "It was an old tired plane"
Pros: "The attendants are pleasant to the eye, thats about it."

Pros: "Personal Touch!"
Cons: "No such!"
Cons: "Old planes and screens."
Pros: "Sound sleep"
Pros: "The staff were helpful, once I had complained enough."
Cons: "Aircraft was old, tired, and uncomfortable. The seat of my chair was not attached. There were huge comms boxes below every 2nd seat so zero legroom. Screens were so old they were unwatchable and tiny. Air Asia provides a superior service for a fraction of the price."

Pros: "For as long 14 hour journey they sure make it comfortable."
Cons: "The food was very poor indeed, the entertainment system was not working in my seat or the seat behind, I had to move to another seat"
Pros: "Changed by very helpful ground staff from lousy seats to exit row at no cost."
Cons: "Entertainment interface showing its age."
Pros: "The ground staff in Sydney!"
Cons: "From the moment we checked in in Singapore there was no service. Having travelled first class and Economy before with Singapore I was very disappointed with Business class. My husband and daughter were in First Class. The service was below average to say the least - more training required from check in to on board - (in Sydney the staff on the ground went above and beyond) In Singapore it was very fake and contained no sincerity. The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."
Pros: "I am still trying to find my bags. I missed my connection and Jet Blue made me stand in a line to get rebooked for 7 hours. Unprofessional, uncaring. None of this was my fault but everyone who represents Jet Blue treated me as if it were. Never again"
Cons: "old facilities"
Pros: "Good crew, but working with some tired, old equipment."
Cons: "The padding in my seat seemed to be a bit thin and became progressively more uncomfortable as the flight progressed. The in-flight entertainment systems are really showing some wear & tear. The screen was blurry, the letters on the control buttons had work off and the sound quality was terrible."
Pros: "Arrival in Canberra was excellent."
Cons: "Horrendously uncomfortable business-class seat for a redeye flight."
Pros: "Movie selection, very helpful crew and good quality food."
Pros: "The very good check in service at Changi Airport , for Business Class"
Cons: "The food ! Great on way over , poor on return leg from Singapore"
Pros: "Got an aisle seat. Got all the meals. Overall a good flight."
Cons: "Tim Tams out for self service"
Pros: "Crew were super helpful. Have flown with other airlines, but have to say Qantas crews are very professional and helpful. They go that extra mile."
Pros: "Good crew, efficient and pleasant"
Cons: "1. The entertainment system had good choice, but screen resolution wasn't as good as recent flights with Lufthansa, SIA, Malaysia Airlines and AirNZ 2. Nowhere near enough toilets in the middle of the cabin, had to queue over 20 minutes 3. The announcement said water refill stations - where?"
Cons: "Qantas need to improve thier overall customer service"
Pros: "Some crew not attentive at all. Had to request a few times before service was provided. Seats comfortable enough."
Cons: "Some Crew a bit slack. And slow service"
Pros: "Crew were great"
Cons: "Not enough toilets - always a queue. More leg room."
Cons: "The seats were too narrow and uncomfortable"
Cons: "No back-of-seat screen, overhead screens lacking enough contrast to see much. No matter, I looked out the window instead!"
Cons: "Baby stroller was sent to baggage claim. I had to walk with small baby and a bunch of bags through all steps instead of using the stroller."
Pros: "The braised beef dinner was excellent, the crew were really helpful and the entertainment good. Arrived early as well.Qantas seems to have great pilots as very little in the way of bumpiness on landing. So well done guys."
Cons: "Nothing much. I have long legs so it's hard to get comfortable enough to sleep."
Pros: "Food and comfort of the seat"
Cons: "The USB charger, the whole entertainment, anything on the remote including light control and bell, stopped working! I wasn't given enough attention, i had to chase the crew a few times, it was a 14 hour flight with nothing working, miserable experience. I was offered a window seat, which i hate, without considering to give me an upgrade. I was given 5,000 Qantas points, i don't know if they can be moved to my AVIOS."
Pros: "On-time, Food, Comfort"
Cons: "Special Assistance not provided inspite of it being booked with ticket."
Cons: "Great! On time"
Cons: "The entertaimnet headset socket was faulty and I had to hold the jack in a specific way so I could hear the vocal channels. Sometimes it just dropped out all together. Tried multiple headsets but having the socket and jack on the inside of the armrest where it was so easily knocked by you leg was so incredibly stupid and made it hard to get comfortable or move position in the seat. First time I've ever seen this on a plane. Ok, so Qantas got us there safely but the inflight movies its what makes it bearable."
Pros: "seats - very comfy flat bed to use on overnight flight"
Cons: "too warm, hard to sleep"
Pros: "The Qantas lounge in Singapore is very nice. Nothing special relative to some others like Cathay, but lots of showers and good food are the key for a stopover, and the Qantas Lounge has that. The meal options are better out of Singapore than coming in to Singapore, The "order ahead" breakfast concept, where you place your order for breakfast when you board has it pros and cons. The personal service is nice, but one needs to know almost 12 hours ahead of time what they feel like eating. Overall a positive, but for me, it's hard for me to anticipate my appetite. It was my first A380 flight (together with the Sydney - Singapore leg), and overall I was disappointed relative to the Dreamliner. Yet it stands out as a positive the way that Qantas has configured business class on the upper deck. It's quite peaceful."
Cons: "Mostly an issue with security, two separate very long lines. The lines are marked priority and economy, but those are not adhered to. The seats in business class are not very comfortable. I feel like I had more comfortable seats 15 years ago on BA, and the world has come a long way since then. The planned upgrades are sorely needed."
Cons: "Qantas actually had to book me on jet star since they failed. Waiting 12 hrs now"
Pros: "Entertainment Options"
Cons: "Confusion in boarding"
Pros: "Very smooth, made it alive."
Pros: "Everything about Qantas is good. No complaints at all. Staff fantastic - friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Nothing to state here."
Pros: "Singapore airline best for Australia"
Cons: "Small seats"
Pros: "The flight was like floating on a cloud. Stunning crew, so efficient"
Cons: "An hour late"
Pros: "Cabin crew were terrific. On board was also very good. Attentive and courteous."
Pros: "The staff did the best they could to accommodate everyone on a full flight in economy. The passenger in front of me had a failed entertainment system and the staff handled it very well."
Cons: "The leg room is obviously minimal in economy but compared to Singapore Airlines this was cramped and when the seat in front reclines it's almost impossible to find a comfortable position if you're over 5 foot 9! food was below par."
Pros: "Easy to check in on the app. The Qantas crew as usual are friendly and helpful, and entertainment is pretty good."
Cons: "Unfortunately we picked the seats by the toilet, which made sleeping an issue. The space between the seats is quite cramped, very hard to get comfortable for a rest."
Pros: "Friendly customer service crew, nice amenities kit, and quick boarding."
Cons: "Old aircraft (737) let’s down a good company and frequent flyers."
Cons: "Food, I cannot get an option to have a Cheese platter. The food has been prepared too far in advance and is tasteless and full or preservatives."
Cons: "The dinner meal was dried and pretty disappointing as was the media selection in coach vlass"
Pros: "I liked everything from crew to the plane"
Cons: "Delayed departure as usual unsuitable aircraft (737) for 5 hour flight. It's time Qantas steps up and puts a proper aircraft on the Singapore Perth flight. Even the budgets are more comfortable that this."
Pros: "Crew were affable and courteous, even if not very attentive."
Cons: "The entertainment system was ancient, with small screens, loose sockets for headphones, flaky performance. Only the content was decent (not good). They announce boarding sequence and then fail to honor/enforce it, allowing a free for all."
Pros: "Good food. You"
Pros: "Very comfortable business class seat, great business lounge in Singapore."
Pros: "The crew was pleasantly pleasent when passengers make mistakes but firm as need, thus getting what needed done as pleasantly as possible."
Cons: "Entertainment system was stuck and stay stuck on kids program and system had no way to get back to main entry point. Software programmers had either failed to put in a "home" icon / link on the Kids home page. Also, turning system off, and leaving it off for 3+ minutes did not do so either; this likely a failure of software designers to specific such or system itself not functioning per design."
Pros: "Movie selection was excellent"
Cons: "They missed giving me a chocolate!"
Cons: "I was not able to check-in on my mobile phone. I was not able to check-in at the Kiosk. I had to check my carry-on bag all the way through to Los Angeles."
Pros: "can't think of any."
Cons: "Food - hardened rice, dried vegetables. Seat and cabin very dated, litter in the cabin uncomfortable business seat Pixelated old IFE screen"
Pros: "Everything was on time with very good service."
Pros: "Impeccable service, food, and overall experience from the crew. It has always been a joy to fly Qantas, and I'm glad to see that is something that doesn't change."
Cons: "If you are going to travel with a little one, have the common decency to help your poor wife take care of them as well. You had three seats, the entire middle aisle, yet you decided to take the open seat next to me so they could lay down together. That was nice, I get it, sure. But if your baby is going to cry for hours (and hours, it was a 10.5 hour flight, that poor kid must have been exhausted), pause the movie for a minute, and maybe try to help. I don't mind being inconvenienced for the little ones, I'm a dad of 4 myself, I've traveled a lot and know how it goes. But jesus christ, she's your wife, that's your child, try taking care of them."
Pros: "It's Australian."
Cons: "Typical overnight flight."
Pros: "Crew was reasonably friendly."
Cons: "Lack of space made it impossible to sleep. Aisle was dangerously dark. Would not surprise me if people experience falls. I know there is a trade off between sleep-friendly darkness and safety for those walking in the cabin. I think you err too much on the side of darkness"
Cons: "The wait time for checked baggage in Melbourne was unacceptable ... 45minutes. This is disgraceful in comparison with other countries. It adds a significant delay to overall journey time."
Pros: "The blankets"
Cons: "Very little leg room compared to other airlines, disorganised & slow crew, offered very little in terms of snacks"
Pros: "The Singapore Qantas lounge is well set up, despite one or two small issues. Boarding was easy after the usual Singapore gate lounge procedures. On board the crew (led by Brigita) could not have been better. I LOVE the 1 -2 - 1 business configuration. Meals and refreshments on board were just great and I enjoyed that the crew didn't disturb me (Emirates are particularly rude in this regard) when it was clear I was sleeping until descent."
Cons: "Qantas, being an Australian airline, I am clueless as to why, in the airline lounge: Australian Sauvignon Blancs are not available (NZ phewee!) Bundaberg Rum (Ozzie icon) is not available. For a major hub, it is also not clear why a separate business lounge doesn't operate."
Pros: "Crew were outstanding. Great service, attention to detail and simply better than I have experienced in the past 10+ years travelling Business. Well done!"
Pros: "On Time performance"
Cons: "Entertainment system on our section of the Qantas A330-200 had failed and was not operational for the entire trip. This meant no movies, no music, no safety video or announcements and no flight map for the entire journey of almost 8 hours. Crew were not very responsive to this and it seemed like a low priority vs everything else they were doing. After almost 2 hours and complaingpts from a number of the 24 passengers impacted, they did a "soft and hard reset" of the system which did nothing. Initially crew suggested they had an alternative (Tablets) but subsequently denied this. I felt they had already handed these out and did not hav enough. Having been the very first person to raise this issue (10 mins before the flight was to leave), I felt I should have been offered one, but clearly they did not do so. Altogether pretty disgusted with crew attitude and responsiveness. We also felt the food was of very poor quality too - it was too salty and what should have been crisp was soggy. We will NEVER fly Qantas again (even a code share)."
