FAQs - booking Pakistan flights

  • Is there any time I should avoid when booking my flights to Pakistan?

When booking your flights to Pakistan, keep in mind that travelling around the country during Ramadan can be more expensive and more difficult, particularly during the day, as working hours may change and food is not always readily available. On the other hand, Ramadan can be a very festive time to travel, especially at night after the fast, as long as you plan your trip accordingly. Ramadan starts in April until the end of May.

  • Do I need a visa to visit Pakistan?

Australian passport holders do need a visa to visit Pakistan. You can do this by visiting the Consulate General of Pakistan in Sydney or Melbourne before your flight. Processing times can take over two months, so it is advisable to visit the consulate as soon as your trip is booked. When you have your visa, be sure to make plenty of copies, as you will need these when passing through security checkpoints in Pakistan.

  • Where should I fly into to visit Multan?

The closest major international airport to Multan is in Lahore, approximately a 5h drive away. For those flying into Islamabad, Multan is an 8h drive away. However, Multan does have its own airport—Multan International Airport (MUX) which serves regular flights from all over Pakistan. Recently upgraded, this airport is receiving more and more international flights and is becoming a hub for central Pakistan.

  • Where should I fly into to visit Skardu in Pakistan?

Thrill-seekers wishing to explore the mountains north of Pakistan can fly into Islamabad. From here, you can find flights to the local Skardu Airport (KDU). A popular choice is therefore to take the picturesque Karakoram Highway from Islamabad, however, this journey will take you a couple of days.

  • Do kids need a child car seat when travelling to and from the airport in Pakistan?

There currently aren’t any child car seat laws in Pakistan. However, it’s recommended to use a rear-facing car seat for children weighing less than 8 kg. For children between 8 kg and 20 kg, it’s a good idea to use a forward-facing seat. Older children can be buckled into seatbelts.

  • Which airport should I fly into to visit Deosai National Park?

If you plan on visiting this high-altitude World Heritage site, a convenient airport to fly into is Skardu International Airport (KDU), in Gilgit-Baltistan. Most flights from Australia to Skardu come with at least two stops along the way, and the airport is around 42 miles from Deosai National Park. However, a 4X4 vehicle is required to access the roads leading to the park, so it’s essential to either hire one or book a tour.

  • Which airport in Pakistan is convenient for visiting Mohenjo Daro?

Another option is to fly into Karachi and take a train to Dokri, around 7 miles from Mohenjo Daro.

  • Which airport should I fly into if I want to visit Hingol National Park?

Hingol National Park lies on a remote stretch of the Arabian Sea in Pakistan’s Lasbela District. A convenient airport is Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport (KHI). in today's time, an airline like emirates didnt serve drinks as requested, Excuse was full flight.

It was delayed for 2 hrs. Flight attendants were not attentive.

We boarded but due to a technical issue we spent 4.5hrs on the ground waiting for the issue to be resolved

No kids provided. Instead we were told to have contacted the airline that we have kids and require kids meals. We were not the only ones who inquired about kids meals. It’s odd. Emirates and other airlines give kids meals as standard and before the adult food comes out. The rice in our meals was gluggy and under cooked. The chicken was also raw. Sadly not the best experience with Finn Air. The hostesses tried to compensate with the snacks and drinks but missed the mark by a long way. Especially when paying Emirates/Qantas prices

They cancelled our flight, rebooked, cancelled that one. We are now flying New Zealand Air and need a refund please. How do we get it?

Wifi was not operational for the whole trip. Other than this, flight was well received .

Food no so good. Extra charge to much for front seats cost me £163 then other people sat near me for nothing 🤬

Comfort and customer service from most if the crew was great. The crew reassigning passengers should consider the presence of infants when reassigning seats. Unfortunately a couple of oversized passengers were relocated next to us, making this segment a bit uncomfortable, as there was not only extra leg space required. I ended up swapping seats with my husband so our baby wouldn't be impacted. My husband travelled quite uncomfortable as the reassigned neighbour shoulder and arm ended up on my husband's seat

Seats are not as easy to move as you would hope in premium econo Y

The plane was very old and uncomfortable. Service was very slow!

business class is old but still done very well by the team.

I'm not interested in improving the airline. Therefore, I won't explain this in more detail. Next time I'll try a different one.

The setting configuration of the aircraft stinks. Nobody should pay business class fares and be so uncomfortable. The design of facing fellow passengers is a brilliant nincompoop.

USB charging port was not working at my seat 48K.

Could have been better. I prefer Thai airlines only but it hasnt been reliable.

Overall things were very good and orderly. The food was very good but I want able to get a second drink very easily, so that could have been better for services. The seats seemed to be lacking legroom but I'm also 6'1" so I'm used to wanting more legroom but the plane seemed smaller then others when it came to legroom. My kids all enjoyed the entertainment as did I so that was perfect!

It was good overall. At 6 foot 1 it's hard to say anything seat on a flight is comfortable but it would be nice to have more legroom. The meals were good but would have liked to get wine much sooner.

Extra seat belt across the chest 10 minutes before taking off and 15 minutes before landing seemed excessively safe.

Efficient like all the other flights with them. An outstanding budget airline!

Excellent service. departed on time, and arrived ahead of schedule. The whole restrictions around no food/drink is a bit weird even with Covid. Also, no mobiles and iPad use during takeoff and landing is very 2006!

I was denied boarding at the Brisbane airport and it seems like I won’t get any refunds from the airline

The connection between LA and Atlanta was too much stress

We were diverted to Chengdu, because of bad weather and finally made it to Chong King about 7 hours later

Food was terrible. Fish was equal to a sausage and scrumbled eggs were terribly green with a quite weird fllavour. Everybody with me hated all options. The best food was the bread with butter.

Flight canceled, but they didn't notify me. They arranged a nearby hotel and 4 meals for me to stay for 24 hours before I could board.

We bought the business class tickets. The check-in staff and onboard crew were excellent, providing commendable service throughout. However, it was disappointing to find that China Southern Airlines does not have a lounge at SFO. Instead, passengers were provided with a $35 per person food voucher, which fell short of expectations. Furthermore, the quality of the onboard food left much to be desired, marking a significant decline compared to our previous flight experience in 2019, prior to the pandemic.

Wuhan - Dubai. Old plane: 1. Only USB charger. No power outlet to plug in.. 2. Super narrow seat layout 3. Toilet cover consistently fell down and hit my back when sitting on it.. :( 4. Entertainment system touch screen not sensitive, and need to press hard or use finger tips to hit. Crew were very nice and accommodating though.

1. I got very poor check in experience with the counter lady . This is the first airline I ever experienced that no combine check in weight allow . Even we have 4 of us but weight counter by piece . So we wasted lot of time argue and repack . This is super crazy 2. Next I left my Samsung tablet on the plane . And I started to escalate and finally spoke to southern airline lost and found in Malaysia and the amazing answer she give is : system nothing found and please try to call southern airline in china 🧐 . I have been flying many other airlines but this is my first encounterment with such irresponsible airline response and no empathy given to customer . My feeling is nobody bother whether how customer like me feel and I’m just too small for the management to take note .

No red vine, no whiskey, no vodka. No that I wanted all of them at once but still...

Traveling with the Chinese airlines , their service superior to the US Airlines , they are much more friendly and the seats are comfortable , In the past I flew with United , now ,United Airline will become history for me .

Very poor No information given to why we turned around.. No one at airport to help

I paid extra for seating when first booking flight to be in a comfortable economy seat They still changed it to a middle seat regardless. When I asked for it to be changed back to aisle, they could only give me one at the back of the plane in the least comfortable seats.

Friendly and discreet staff. Could have done with a few more offers of water/snacks overnight. Movie and tv selection notably poor. Seats not especially comfortable

I appreciated the vailability of wheelchair services for persons with mobility issues all the way up to the aircraft. What could be better would be the food choices.

The check-in and crew staff were wonderful. The food was reasonable. The online side Qatar was very poor. Seats were very tight and not very comfortable for a 14 hour flight!

Liked some flight attendants. 1 was rude I'll not say her name I don't want to get her jn trouble on my flight back to Dallas from Doha. Very rude to some races of people clearly. She needs a better attitude and bedside manners. Asking her questions and she responds "WHAT" twice rudely like I was bothering her and "is it going to be cranberry or mango juice with an attitude".

I found it weird that the quality of the flight different from Australia to Doha than the Doha to Berlin leg. The quality of the toiletries pack (was in a box from Australia) and then a proper bag from Doha. The biggest variation was the inflight entertainment, which had a significantly shorter amount of content compared to the Doha flight. My QSuite seat was also broken and did not recline all the way flat. Wasn’t the best and I wouldn’t be happy if I’d paid cash for the flight.

Online check-in doesn't work. That's why I couldn't give it full Star.

The plane from Dublin to Doha was quite comfortable. I was in economy and the seats and rows were very tight. The man in front of me reclined his seat and it made my screen incredibly close to my face and I wasn’t able to take my tray down and my knees were pressed against the seat. I had to ask three times for him to pull his seat up but in his defence he hadn’t even reclined it far, the rows were just too close. I had a pain in my side by the end of the flight from the chairs which were quite worn and not very padded or supportive. It was a significantly inferior plane to the plane from Doha to Sydney and vice versa.

This was a really enjoyable flight. Even though I was in economy, I had a great deal of leg space, I had a nice meal, and the flight staff was helpful and friendly. A really great flight.

There was not any issues with the Etihad Airways. Staff was excellent and I love the variety of movies and games that they provided.

Etihad Check In counter/Station manager in Heathrow was bothering and not helpful at all. They are rude and not customer oriented

Old plane, old entertainment system. It wasn't working throughout the entire flight. I was offered to connect to their system via Wifi to watch on my phone. Crew wasn't very helpful except one lady who turned the experience around.

Needs better seat for business class. My seat was falling apart. Also no WiFi on that flight

The flight was delayed which cause me to miss my connecting flight in AbuDhsbi airport.

Etihad flight sector is a local . .give the same quality upto destination

1st time with. Etihad Airways and it was amazing from check in to crew. Great flight.

Ripped off and broken seats in Business class. Seats stink and need to request the staff for additional bedsheets. Crew if very friendly though

It feels like the seat did not have any cushion just plywood. The seats are so compact that I could not even move at all and I am slim. Just imagine someone else. Singapore Air and Emirates are far far better than this. Do not even travel for free. For a 12 hour flight sitting on a plywood is horrible experience and on top of that the person at checking counter at NY was worst and rude. Plus they charge arms and leg for everything. I think they would also start charging for belts and oxygen also soon. First and last time flying with Ethiad.

It feels like the seat did not have any cushion and just ply wood. The seats are so compact that no one would sit comfortably. I am a slim person and it was super hard for me to move in the seat just imagine what someone else would feel. This airline would be my last option. Singapore Air and Emirates are far far far better than this. Do not travel even for free.
