Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "The check-in crew in Chicago was very nice and efficient. The flight crew on-board were not friendly, they were very curt and rushed, and did not go out of their way to be helpful."
Cons: "Friendlier staff during the flight. Better food for breakfast. The connection port for my headphones did not work...I would not have been able to watch movies if I hadn't brought my own single connection head phones."
Pros: "Everything.. will do it again!"
Cons: "Everything was perfect"
Cons: "Power outage delayed the deboarding De boarding always done not at the terminal but to a bus"
Pros: "Flight attendand Tiessy - QR943 - 8 Jun 2019 (outbound Singapore to Doha) She serve us (with kid) very well, with plenty of smile and warm helpful gestures."
Cons: "I really hope that kid's menu can be updated/changed in the system at least 24/48hrs before flight, as that was the first time we ride Qatar (we have no idea the menu) So we only order it once during the outbound flight."
Cons: "The flight was excellent and the service was impeccable. The attention that they gave all the passengers including myself was excellent. Would Recomend to take Qatar from Bombay to Miami"
Pros: "Seats were comfortable but space was narrow"
Cons: "Please give space between front and back seats"
Pros: "Most of the crew was really nice and the entertainment choice was great."
Cons: "Asian Vegetarian meal was so-so. Dessert is never good for special meals. Boarding was particularly annoying as there was a document verification line and then the actual check-in. Even if you've done online check-in the document verification people will shout at you and tell you to line up."
Pros: "Q Suite business seats are the best with excellent service & delicious variety of meals."
Cons: "Nothing. Every thing was great!"
Pros: "aircraft A350 , food choices , Doha airport , Staff attitude and willingness to help ."
Pros: "The crew was attentive and polite. The flights were on time, and the entertainment options were good. The Doha airport is quite nice, with many eating and retail options. although everything is very expensive, even by airport standards."
Cons: "My wife and I personally don't mind a selection that leans heavily toward Indian food, but I imagine others will not. The main courses were mediocre and the "sandwich" offered between meals on the 13+ hour flight was cold, soggy and inedible. The seats on our A350 were hard and not very comfortable, and the recline function was difficult to operate. Security at the Doha airport was confusing. We had to go through 3 separate checkpoints for our transfer, each with different rules and procedures. The final check at our departure gate was the worst, with impatient officials giving hurried instructions in heavily-accented English, and scolding if passengers didn't understand. I was sent back through a second time to remove my camera from the bag (and to be scolded by the agent), and was patted down a second time coming back through the x-ray, which had green-lighted me both times. It made me wonder if this was a reaction to the extra scrutiny that Arab passengers receive from our airport security in the USA."
Pros: "The crew was excellent"
Pros: "Qatar Airlines has amazing service! And they have free internet!"
Cons: "The films are all sensored. And the free internet is only for 30 minutes."
Cons: "Same no in flight wifi"
Cons: "Seats and legroom too small"
Pros: "I havn't flown a lot of international flights, but Qatar Airways is now my favorite"
Pros: "Cabin crew including the ground staff were awesome in providing best of its class customer service. Food and entertainment onboard was really good."
Pros: "I like everything about the flight"
Cons: "Flight was very long"
Pros: "Everything was perfect! From boarding the flight, decor, hospitality, clean, comfortable and my special meal selection was always right. The flight attendants greeted me before meals and insured me that they received my meal order."
Pros: "The friendliness of the staff from check in to arrival!"
Pros: "I liked staff , boarding was organized food was not very good needs to be improved"
Pros: "I would definitely travel again with quatar. Amazing trip long hours but they sure take care of the passenger. Love how they took care of my child"
Pros: "The aircraft from US to Qatar was upgraded and looked new. I love the new on demand video streaming, the touch controls are precise and better than previous version"
Cons: "I wish the airline was a bit more organized with boarding. I saw people with other zones boarding even when they were not called. The air hostess was friendly but I kinda got a feeling that she is doing me a huge favor when I asked for something more."
Pros: "The crew who were dedicated to our row came by and introduced themselves individually. They came frequently to ask for anything I required. They prompty responded to a request call. The lavatory to passenger ratio for Business class was excellent and I never had to wait for more than a minute. The food was very good but there is room for improvement."
Cons: "Some of the bread and croissants were not really fresh. Fresh fruits were also very limited and not properly ripened."
Pros: "The plane is very comfortable and the staff are friendly"
Pros: "Good attentiveness from crew, food was fine. Entertainment was good."
Cons: "Boeing 787 was uncomfortable on the trip to Doha - hard seat cushions and little legroom. 777 much more comfortable on the leg to USA."
Pros: "The food was very good, I liked vegetarian options and my stomach doesn't hurt after the plane food as usual. I like the bathrooms clean and nice smelling soap. The crew was very attentive and eager to please their guest but consistent and insisting on the safety rules (belts buckled up and seats in upright position)"
Cons: "There wasn't many good options for entertainment. Only a couple new movies although I liked the TED talks. Also I liked the plane but I wish there were some foot steps and more comfortable head support on the seats. I didn't like also strange option for Golden members in economy seats to be able to "order" food before regular people. There were only 3 options and everyone had the same choice. So basically all that crew does is just asking which course gold members want an hour before serving. It seemed silly with no actual benefit."
Pros: "Service of air stewards very friendly and polite"
Cons: "This goes for Qatarfigjta from harare to Doha and Doha to Washington DC and back. I am not going to give individual report on each one. Food - my daughter could barely eat anything and the vegetarian meals were stone cold most of time. It was hard to eat at Qatar airport because not only is the food terrible (Burger King and bad Asian food) but outrageously expensive. Our media system did not work for one leg. ** way to many ads on your media system. Every time you watch a new TV episode, you have to sit through 5-6 ads for stuff that is not interesting and the same each time. ** plane info on media system keeps reverting to Arabic even when English is indicated as preferred la gauge. We had to place our iPads in checked luggage for flights from harare to USA as we went through Qatar. *** I asked for quiet seats and was given seats near kitchen and toilet even though I booked in hours in advance. One leg had my ten year old daughter and I in different rows even though I checked in 4-5 hours in advance Of flight . ** staff moved my hand luggage without my permission and without informing me - it was stressful trying to find it."
Pros: "Onboard crew"
Cons: "Boarding process. It could start on time as printed on the boarding pass. If it is by zone, the provide a few minutes between the zones and adjust time accordingly."
Pros: "Good food includes veg."
Pros: "Crew, food."
Cons: "Lack of communication. Flight was two hours late from Boston to Doha. Not once were we told about the length of delay or what we need to do about connecting flights. And toilets were very smelly right from the start as it seemed that itinerary has seeped into the floor over time. And there were only two items as a main course and one of them in very small quantity. I was told that too many veg main courses were loaded by mistake and very few non veg."
Pros: "The food and service was great"
Cons: "The bathroom could be cleaner :)"
Pros: "food was decent and the staff on the plane were pleasant."
Cons: "Qatar airlines blatantly lied to me on several occasions and treated me like I was dirt. They lost my baggage and re assigned my seat several times each time pushing me further back into the plane and eventually putting me into a crowded row when the plane was virtually empty."
Pros: "They don't charge you for any seat in economy class"
Cons: "The boarding process feels very hostile, they are not nice and you are threaded as a terrorist (while they smile at you during the process). Since a new policy of TSA according to them, you cannot take your computer with you in the plane. This means that working in your way back is very hard and you will be loosing the day which is very uneficient. But what was even worse, is that they didn't allow me to check my bag in the last connection gettting to the US, instead they made me check it from my original destination which made me loose almost two days of work without giving me a logic response on why I couldn't check my bag from my inbound flight to the US. By the way, this protocol from TSA is terrible. No internet in their flights No chargers plugs in all of their flights (including the ones that take you more than 4 hours) Lunch in their 15 hours flight is mediocre, everyone was starving since they only gave us one mini empanada."
Pros: "Over all the flight was great."
Cons: "However I feel the need to share that the lid of one of the lights fell off and hit my girlfriend on her nose while she was asleep hurting her instantly. I understand that it was an accident, but nobody takes responsibility for it."
Pros: "Staff courtesy."
Pros: "Quick boarding, semi- spacious seats, decent snack food"
Cons: "Not much to dislike, but I still will NEVER fly Qatar again."
Pros: "Everything was taken care of and I never had to worry. I felt well treated, important, my things were taken care of and respected, the plane was clean and had great in flight options for food and entertainment. The staff was respectful and nice."
Pros: "Qatar airways always seems to handle busy flights and crammed seats calmly, efficiently and on time. It's a long haul - 16+ hours, and if you have to go economy as a 6 foot tall person, their seats recline well, seemingly better than many. You have to plan your long layovers, and they do offer assistance with hotel transfers, but they don't advertise this very clearly - so do your homework before flying!"
Pros: "As always, Qatar Airways has new planes, comfortable seats, clean atmosphere, and pretty good leg spaces. They fly on time and land on time."
Cons: "1. Food - It was not that great, especially if you are allergic to cold. It applies to asthmatic patients like me. You have very limited choices. The only hot item in my whole tray was "chicken mixed rice". Everything else from yoghurt to fruits went waste. Can we have HOT FOODS for people like me? 2. Flight Attendants - It seemed that the flight attendants were not so experienced at handling customers. Plus, several of them had poor English. That would have been okay if they had patience to listen to me slowly. But, they seemed to be in hurry and not wait enough to understand my request properly. I was asking HOT WATER and they were repeatedly handing me COLD WATER. Plus, they could see me breathing heavily and feeling great discomfort. Nobody asked me 'ARE YOU OKAY?". It seemed, they didn't care for customers like me. I found a serious lack of CUSTOMER RESPONSIVENESS, forget PRO-ACTIVENESS among several flight attendants. Finally, I found an example of SNOBBERY in the plane. A flight attendant was asking a couple sitting next to me to fill up the FEEDBACK FORM. They looked like from Middle East but were British citizens. They didn't talk to me even though I volunteered at frist to introduce myself. The lady was especially rude to me. They were dressed like high class folks. That's it. They neither represented the hundreds of passengers, especially Indians, in the Economy Cabin, nor were they friendly to fellow passengers. It left me with a feeling that Qatar Airways attendants were judging a book by cover and asking the wrong persons to fill the form who didn't really represent their majority customers for that cabin."
Pros: "Everything was quite nice. The TV screens were working for all the seats! Though I did not give my meal preference earlier, they still accommodated my request. Doha airport is quite nice and modern. Crew was helpful."
Cons: "I wish Quatar had a direct flight between Chicago and Indian cities such as Delhi and Mumbai. I can understand that Doha is their hub, but such a flights would be really good for me as I always want to reduce my layovers. (I noticed that most travelers in my Delhi to Doha and Doha to Chicago flights were Indians, hence my request makes sense.)"
Cons: "Steep decline in food quality"
Pros: "Cabin crew was pleasant and at least smiled."
Cons: "Why was it necessary to have to queue to present your boarding pass to get into a sitting area only to have to queue again to actually board the plane? What was the point of having priority access with status with Qatar Airways as an economy passenger to get into the seating area only to have to wait for ALL other passengers to then board ahead of you onto the actual plane especially when they say they allow priority boarding for those with status on the airline?"
Pros: "***You're asking me about a flight that hasn't happened yet. I'm rating my flight FROM LOS ANGELES TO DOHA, 10/23/2016, here: Flight attendants were very good, helpful, gracious. For a long flight the restrooms stayed clean."
Cons: "The food was over cooked, and lacked freshness. I had to have the same meal twice because they ran out of the omelettes. Next time I will try Emirates."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Only 1 meal on a six hr flight was stingy. - not even snacks. Unfriendly staff. No opportunity to choose seats despite checking in online the day before - we were allocated 2 adjacent seats but there were none others shown as available on the entire aircraft."
Pros: "Good boarding. Nice flight attendants."
Cons: "Economy seats were too close to others. Entertainment displays on 777 planes didn't react well to touch. Too many large roller bags allowed on plane. Arm rests on A330 and 777 wouldn't go all the way up."
Pros: "Crew polite and efficient."
Cons: "Boarding process non-existent. Huge queue of 80+ people. Seats average comfort. Food bland. No entertainment other than on the overhead displays. Will avoid flying with this type of plane / flight."
Cons: "Plan was really cold then really hot, they just could not control the temp. They also just left my bag in Zanzinar!! They never but it on the plane, which of course you don't find out until you get to your final destination without a bag. I was disappointed in Qatar Airlines for this."
Pros: "Everything were good"
