  • Be careful to note that, even though a metro station named "Chennai Airport" exists, service does not actually extend all the way to Chennai Airport (MAA). Once you get to the metro station, you can connect to your intended destination in Chennai.

  • Travellers considering hiring a car while in Chennai should be aware that it costs more to hire from the airport on arrival than to arrange your hire online in advance. Hiring online can save you money, and the majority of car hire agencies will send a representative to meet you at the airport and take you to collect your car.
  • A range of airlines offer one-stop flights from Melbourne to Chennai, but if you want to save money for your time there, you should consider booking with the low-cost carrier Scoot. They offer regular, one-stop flights to the Indian city.
  • If you come from the Geelong area, you may also want to consider Avalon Airport (AVV) as your origin airport. From there you can also find one-stop flights serving Chennai International Airport (MAA).
  • Enjoy a hassle-free check-in experience and simply stay the night before your flight at one of Melbourne Tullamarine Airport’s (MEL) hotels. Within walking distance of the terminal buildings you find a Holiday Inn, an ibis Budget, and the more upmarket PARKROYAL.
  • Parking at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport is a convenient and cost-saving undertaking with their long-term parking rates. Prices per week are approximately A$ 100–150 and a shuttle bus connects the car park with the airport buildings.
  • Children will enjoy the playground within the International Terminal of Melbourne Tullamarine Airport. Close to Gate 15b, it is the perfect place to let off some energy before boarding the flight from Melbourne to Chennai.
  • Are you worried you didn’t bring enough luggage space for your airport purchases? With the Shop & Collect service at Melbourne Airport, you can simply leave your tax-free purchases in Melbourne and pick them up in the Arrivals Hall when you come back.

Crew were so busy Anna so awesome. I was in a seat that got my food nearly last but the crew were Just awesome.

I was in a middle seat where I felt a bit too cramped otherwise the trip was good

Lounge a access was excellent as was the attentiveness and service from the crew as always. The food and drink supplied were of good quality. The entertainment system had a good selection and I liked the mapping system supplied. However the screen wild have been bigger and the operation a little smoother to navigate. The seats were barely comfortable, but adequate.

Good service and food. For buying items on flight should be preordered as they don’t keep much stock on board.

Timing very good from sfo to Singapore and service was awesome and economy class seats are great overall very good experience thanks

Good flight. The food was served a bit late, hence a hurry to finish before landing. Excellent crew and service

Flying with Singapore airlines is always excelllent - the crew are lovely and the food too is great. It’s my number 1 airline

Check in was snails pace, only 1 of the luggage screen was working so long lines, an hour to check in Nobody seemed to want to fix the issue Flight was 45 minutes late Scoot is a mini sized plane ( sardine class plane), literally felt slammed between people

Would have been nice to have more variety and less dairy in the Indian Vegetarian special meal. Why do they include Parathas as part of the entree and also on the side (substitute for bread/roll)? Also, no need for so much dairy...don't need milk packet, yogurt and Chobani Greek yogurt in the same meal.

Seating wasn’t good at all with not much leg space in between. Fortunately it was a relatively short flight. Otherwise we would have struggled a lot. On board meal was pretty ordinary. It is sad to see the overall quality of this once superb airline has dropped so low.

HAVING ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR PEOPLE TO BOARD ACCORDING TO GROUP IS ESSENTIAL N ENSURING N CUTTING OF QUEUES, EXCEPT FOR PRIORITY CLASS PASSENGERS ON A SEPARATE Q

I'm not interested in improving the airline. Therefore, I won't explain this in more detail. Next time I'll try a different one.

The flight (boarding) was delayed by 40-50 minutes and there was very crowed. They need to improve on the timeliness & boarding process. (They asked passenger to board in groups, but the 2nd group was standing there waiting for 20 minutes!). However, services from the crew was very good, also the food was good as well. I also found the legroom was quite comfortable.

The flight was mostly fine, but I really wished that seats had an outlet to charge devices considering the length of the flight (15 hours there and 14 hours back).

Terrible. It’s like they are stuck in the dark ages. I brought a standard carry on suitcase and a back pack - I was told I could only carry on 7kg per bag - in business class, I was forced to remove articles from the suitcase and put them into my backpack! That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever encountered in all my years of flying. The two bags weighed the same amount but one could not be more than 7kg. Holy cow.

They used Thai Smile plane, which is a smaller model and used to service only domestic flights; hence, the plane is small and quite compact. No entertainment on the flight. While boarding was delayed, it was done in a quick manner.

The setting configuration of the aircraft stinks. Nobody should pay business class fares and be so uncomfortable. The design of facing fellow passengers is a brilliant nincompoop.

Could have been better. I prefer Thai airlines only but it hasnt been reliable.

Extra seat belt across the chest 10 minutes before taking off and 15 minutes before landing seemed excessively safe.

Increase the number of available films, including variety. All other aspects were great.

Flights were delayed, Food was good but only 1 meal instead of 2.

OK seats comfortable, easy boarding/embarking, excellent connection to domestic Malaysia flight with baggage checked through without customs. Catering especially drinks borderline ok luckily less important aspect

Did not take as cancelled 3 time so took another airline

The IFE is quite unconvenient if using our own device. Not all passenger brought their own earphone/headphone.

An overnight Doha to KL. Great sleep, good service and tasty food in business class

chaos boarding. Crew in business class seemed short staffed and lacking in attention to details initially, but did improve during flight.

Entertainment system was too old, crew were unorganised during boarding

No recognition for one World Emerald member. I got row 1 in business class and it was pathetic. No leg space, cramped space, less recline

Legs space in the business class cabin is too small and pillow is dirty!

I had purchased extra leg room for all legs of the flight but due to a delay in leaving Perth I was put on another flight but with Emirates. My luggage was initially lost but later found and my suitcase was broken. I ended up losing my upgrades

3 hours delay ,we changed plane after boarding and waiting inside

Food & lower the prices. Look at Air Asia food look better & affordable

WiFi didn’t work on both sectors so made killing time harder - planes clean modern and good flight crew - would do again if WiFi works

6hrs fly they dont give you a glass of water from seoul to singapore need to buy drink and food plus they charge for bag on international fly is always Free 1 bag from seoul to singapore is Not a local fly you are traveling true asia same story from singapore to Bali no water drink after payment for bag drink cost more the regular airline Well never use this company again we use regular company like Delta korea japan China and even scoot parent company Singapore Air

Was on scoot plus. The only good thing about the flight was the spacious seats. Tables and armrests were extremely dirty Food: bad Entertainment: non existent Wifi: unable to connect, then was painfully slow that we couldn’t even send messages Good thing we had a night flight, so we just slept throughout.

no charging point. food offering is limited and very much on the budget line. Overall is not satisfying for such a price and duration of flight.

We were delayed, but there was never any update given. Everyone was standing at the gate as boarding was supposed to commence at 13:10 for a 13:55 flight. We didn't actually start getting on the shuttles to the plane, until after 14:00. No updates, no information given at all.

Scoot refused to change my flight even though I had booked a flexible ticket. MyTrip wanted to charge me an extra $271 for a ticket that was only listed as $217. I complained about this to scoot and they didn't give a shite. So never again will you be getting money from me Scoot. You can Scoot off.

Me and my Partner were in seats 6A and 6B. (Which we paid a premium for). Unfortunately the person is seat 6C was large and because of his size my Partner was squashed to the point of discomfort and unable to sit properly. We requested to be moved to some empty seats and two hours into the flight the crew moved us. Perhaps it’s time airlines began checking passenger sizes to ensure they don’t encroach into fellow passengers seating space!

Extra luggage after you purchase 1 is gonna jacked u up to 800sgd which is so up to the hook... you could buy 3 round trips ticket on that price.. im so disappointed.. im not gonna choose this airline anymore.. horrible experience...

The business class seats were above average spaced, allowing for a truly full bed experience. Ot would be good if RB joins an international alliance for increased preference by travellers

The flight was on-time and we landed safely! But - toilets were tiny The seats were thin and very uncomfortable My seat rest wouldn’t tilt back so massive back ache after a while - the button had been removed. Seat back pocket was ripped Food was inedible- we’d ordered asian vegetarian - shockingly bad. The interior fit out was like the plane was 40 hard years yet it was a 787. No wifi.. no exterior cameras like Emirates.

Poor selection of movies and entertainment options. Disappointing food options in business.

Either the PA system of Brunei International Airport is of poor quality, or the staff making the announcement was not clear is reading the announcement. The staff at the gate also did not further announce to the passengers with regards to the rows for boarding. On board, the crew was of little to nil help. The only times they were around were during takeoff, "distributing" food and landing. And even during those times they were just there to get "their" job done with little to nil interest to "serve" the customers/passengers. They did not request the passenger in front of us to put his seat up during takeoff, they did not request the passengers to put their seat up during mealtime. The capability of the crew has dropped significantly in comparison to the old times. The crew is in need of better training.
