Long-term parking is at a distance from the airport; however, a free shuttle bus runs every 20min to take passengers to their terminal. Short-term parking costs a little more but places you right outside Terminal 1 (the international terminal). Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Crew and all other Staff were very helpful and friendly"
Cons: "Don’t know"
Pros: "The departure and arrival times were good in order to sleep the night, and wake up in Tokyo refreshed. Cabin crew were fairly friendly, but not the Cathay of a few years ago."
Cons: "NONE of the business class center seats would recline. This meant in order to recline and get some rest, the crew had to dismantle your seat and release the locks manually. This meant the seat was in that position until time to land. So I had to make a choice to sleep or eat, horrible for CX."
Pros: "Professional and friendly Crew & the movies"
Cons: "Too cold, seats to narrow, food not so tasty."
Pros: "Crew was courteous."
Cons: "Seat needs to be much roomier. Entertainment and Food should be good and more options."
Cons: "Food. The blankets and pillows were dirty and smelly. Seats are old."

Cons: "A very old product in the CX fleet. The old exonomy seat is terrible. Service was not attentive. Entertainment system was not responsive. CX is definitely going downhill."
Pros: "Familiarity with Cathay Pacific procedures"
Cons: "The airplane seemed a bit outdated. A WiFi option would have been more pleasant. Crew spoke only English, not the classic Cathay Pacific experience to HK."
Cons: "The seat was a bit small for me, legroom a bit tight."
Cons: "Too salty for the meal"
Pros: "Customer service is excellent as usual. The plane is very well outfitted and modern. You can generally trust the Cathay standard. The pilots are good, and even though departure may have been delayed, we arrived ahead of schedule."
Cons: "I didn't prefer the premium economy section. Uncomfortable. I'd rather pay the fare for a cheaper economy seat, that is equally uncomfortable. It's terrible to start charging people for small, petty things like choosing one's seat."
Pros: "Seat uncomfortable even though there was plenty of leg room"
Pros: "Liked: moive selection. Hagendazs ice cream. Flight went smooth."
Cons: "My check in bag was lost. Hope to get it back in the next few days."
Pros: "Nothing I like about this airline. Boarding is a mess. The food sucks. The flight attendants are just ok. I don’t plan to use this airline again."
Cons: "Nothing I like about this airline. Boarding is a mess. The food sucks. The flight attendants are just ok. I don’t plan to use this airline again."
Cons: "Incoming plane was late so that there off departure schedule. Flight to HK was late as well. Bad luck or bad scheduling?"
Pros: "Not much, quick though"
Cons: "Plane is old, seats are terrible, hard awkward, strange seatbelt clunk of foam plastic, food was horrible, never saw the crew, it was hot, needed water has to go track it down, it was an overnight flight so not all the crews fault"
Pros: "We always fly with Cathay. Usually 2-3 times per year and feel the staff are professional and service is extremely good. I recently fractured my ankle and staff provided excellent assistance."
Cons: "The breakfasts for economy passengers is shocking. This has not always been the case. However, Now it is presented in a card board box and of very poor quality."
Pros: "the service"
Cons: "food no to much"
Pros: "I normally fly Delta (Platinum member), but the price this time I thought was ridiculous. I bought the flight on Cathay for 45 percent less and actually I found the service and food quality was better. Both seats were about the same in comfort......So I would do it again"
Cons: "A Economy flight is an economy flight....what else can I say"
Pros: "Great crew and spacey seating."
Pros: "More leg room bigger plane"
Cons: "Food and landing"
Pros: "Cathy service"
Pros: "From above ---to serve us, without getting sick, great job by the crew.t"
Cons: "They had us board from gate 4 and they added a security station and we wandered around trying to find the gate. Someone should have stayed out there to tell us why we couldn't even approach gate 4. It was total confusion being seated in gate 3."
Pros: "Very professional and attentive, also thoroughly enjoyed the food provided."
Cons: "Ah there was a lot of crying babies, but that isn't the airlines fault"
Pros: "The flight attendants were top notch and very busy and efficacious. I was impressed that they were always so helpful, courteous, and energetic even after a 12 hour flight!"
Cons: "Very uncomfortable with POOR AIRFLOW, mid way in the economy cabin, next to window (seat 44k). It was like trying to breath through a straw. I asked flight attendant if they could check the air flow, and her answer was that the temperature was 23C and everyone one else had blankets. My concern was not with temperature but FLOW. SO I went to back cabin (6 rows back) and the airflow was much much better and I could actually sleep. So bottom line there is an airflow issue mid economy cabin on the central AC jets. They should address this by putting back in air nozzles or checking actual airflow on these jets. This is very uncomfortable on long flights. Not sure I would fly this jet again for this reason."
Cons: "Seat didn't recline"
Pros: "Boarding was smooth."
Cons: "Cathay Pacific needs to work on improving their cabin layout for B777. The inside is quite outdated."
Pros: "Good leg room in coach. Comfortable seats."
Cons: "All good"
Pros: "All as expected - no surprises"
Pros: "Luggage allowance, in-flight meals, good flight, arrived early"
Cons: "Cabin a bit "dull""
Pros: "The plane actually arrived an hour earlier than expected."
Pros: "Access to Cathay lounge. Went to the Wing noodle bar and coffee loft. Had a good bite to eat before boarding flight running 15 mins late. My request to have my meal service delayed was welcomed by staf."
Cons: "None experienced"
Pros: "I do the Canada-Australia trip fairly often to see my family, and Cathay-Pacific is my new fave. Cheaper than the usual, no problematic stops in the US and everything went perfectly smoothly. Thanks for looking after me!"
Pros: "Got upgraded to business BOS - HKG. Very nice!! Nice new feeling 777 also."
Cons: "After a stressful 15 hour flight from San Francisco, my connecting flight to Tokyo was delayed by an hour and a half, which is something I'd like to avoid in this long of a flight."
Pros: "The food"
Cons: "seat did not recline."
Pros: "I liked the crews the food just ok. It was a long flight,my back was uncomfortable."
Pros: "Flight attendants were great."
Pros: "Excellent, kind, professional crew and timely flight."
Cons: "Economy's seats a bit tightly packed in. Food was kind of Asian based and no choices for snacks but the Asian type nuts/pretzels that tastes wired"
Pros: "The staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect."
Cons: "For the price per night i expected the hotel to supply complementary bottle water daily. The A/C was not very effective."
Pros: "-Staff were incredibly attentive and gracious at every step. Could not ask for more from them. The flight attendants were also really conscientious but also discrete about making sure that things were comfortable to passengers, for example making sure that windows were closed most of the time and lights were down so that people could sleep in between meals, and moving someone that was sick to a more comfortable and private seat, both for the sake of the sick individual and for the comfort of the people that had initially been sitting around them. -The complementary movie options were great and really helped pass the time on the 24+hr flight from NYC to Western Australia. -1 free large checked bag, which was very nice. -I think the complementary food and snacks were really yummy and generous, for airline food. I very much enjoyed the meals and snacks. Also, the complementary wine was a nice treat and tasted surprisingly good. -The complementary pillows and blankets were nice, warm, and soft. -The flights were on time, much better than American airlines that I've flown on. -The bathrooms were cleaned regularly throughout the flight and were much cleaner and nicer smelling than other airlines that I've been on."
Cons: "The only thing thing that could really be improved upon (which is not as much the airline's fault as the plane manufacturer's fault) is that the economy seats and cabin layout could be more comfortable for long flights. I understand how hard it must be to design a plane that fits that many people and that's comfortable for 24+hrs of flying, but a few improvements could relatively easily be made I think, which would improve the experience dramatically: -If the seats were softer (and perhaps more ergonomically designed with an average person's shape in mind) it would make a world of difference, I think. -Being able to put the arm up on the wall side of the window seat would make it much more comfortable. -Padding on the arms would also help. -Of course more leg space and wider seats would make a world of difference, but I know that is tough to do since space is limited."
