KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Sydney to Lahore

  • If you are flying with children from Sydney International Airport (SYD) to Lahore Allama Iqbal Airport (LHE), Qatar Airways could be a good choice of airline. The cabin space with Qatar Airways is more spacious than average, and most scheduled flights have only a single layover in Doha. Most importantly, Qatar Airways has in-flight nanny and childcare services for economy passengers.
  • There are two taxi companies operating out of Lahore Allama Iqbal Airport: Metro Radio Cab and City Radio Cab. You can reserve a taxi before arrival through Metro Radio Cab, and City Radio Cab also offers car hire services, if you would rather hire a car during your stay.
  • There are two bus services providing public transport to Lahore from the airport: Route B-08, terminating at General Bus Stand, and Route B-28, terminating at Green Towers. Service is frequent and offered around the clock, but passengers should be prepared for the buses to become crowded and for traffic conditions to cause the duration of the ride to vary.
  • While many airlines fly the journey from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) to Lahore Airport (LHE), make sure to check out Qatar Airways and Thai Airways if you want the greatest number of flights available at a range of prices.
  • While the cheapest flights offered by airlines like Qatar Airways might sound tempting, there can often be up to 10h added on to the average journey time in stopovers. Instead, we recommend looking just above the cheapest flights to find the best average of price and journey time, which is around 21h long.
  • Lahore Airport (LHE), also known as Allama Iqbal International Airport, is the international airport not just for Lahore but for many of the surrounding cities. For any traveller looking to stay in cities like Faisalabad, it is recommended to look at flights to and from Lahore Airport.
  • If you are travelling with young children, we recommend looking at Qatar Airways as they provide bassinets for infants if you contact them in advance. They also have a variety of TV shows and movies for children to watch.
  • For those travelling on business and looking to keep up to date with news and sports, Emirates Airlines is our recommendation for their live TV coverage on select flights. They also have Wi-Fi bundles available for passengers to purchase, as well as other amenities to ease the journey of the business traveller.
  • For those wanting to exchange their currency before they get to their destination and get the best rates, Global Exchange at Sydney Airport allows passengers to pre-order their currency of choice online and pick it up at the airport.

This was my first time flying with Emirates. Overall, the experience was very good. I thought the seats in economy would have been a bit more comfortable, but, they seem to be on par with other airlines. The food was excellent and very satisfying. If you can afford it, I would definitely suggest upgrading to at lest premium economy seats for long haul flights.

Emirates need to improve the boarding process. There is no point calling for all First and Business Class passengers plus Platinum, Gold and Silver Skywards members at one time. Further to this, try channeling all these people into one entry point with no defined lines. It was chaos. The is a common issue on the Dubai to Riyadh flight. Poor effort Emirates.

I lost my lock from my luggage, I don’t know someone took something from my bag.

Emirates First Class is always a treat with Caviar and service is always personalised.

They cancelled our flight, rebooked, cancelled that one. We are now flying New Zealand Air and need a refund please. How do we get it?

Wifi was not operational for the whole trip. Other than this, flight was well received .

Over - amazing. The aircraft is somewhat old on this route.

Food no so good. Extra charge to much for front seats cost me £163 then other people sat near me for nothing 🤬

Everything I was good except food quality is very poor

Overall I was quite pleased with the experience; the cleanliness; the polite and attentiveness of the cabin crew; and the delicious food options.

Except that our flight was cancelled, by mail, and later moved to 12 hours prior, then the experience was good. In Bangkok we were offered a hotel, it was fine, but would have been nice to know in advance😉

The flight was mostly fine, but I really wished that seats had an outlet to charge devices considering the length of the flight (15 hours there and 14 hours back).

Although booked meal of fruit only The crew had not received this special meal The same happened on my flight Bangkok / CAN The films are so old that best is to use own computer to watch downloads . Serve nuts but they do not warm up . Service is attentive , WC clean

Terrible. It’s like they are stuck in the dark ages. I brought a standard carry on suitcase and a back pack - I was told I could only carry on 7kg per bag - in business class, I was forced to remove articles from the suitcase and put them into my backpack! That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever encountered in all my years of flying. The two bags weighed the same amount but one could not be more than 7kg. Holy cow.

They used Thai Smile plane, which is a smaller model and used to service only domestic flights; hence, the plane is small and quite compact. No entertainment on the flight. While boarding was delayed, it was done in a quick manner.

I give EVA 5 stars in every category. I enjoy this airline and it's great team of employees. I always highly recommend EVA to friends and family and everyone.

The flight was delayed going out of the gate at BKK that made it a difficult challenge to get through immigration transfer at tapei and make it to my departure on time. This appears to be a recurring issue. The flight crew and cabin crew were excellent. The food was very nice.

The boarding efficiency was good. A couple of the flight attendants did not seem in the best of moods. Overall it was a good experience.

The setting configuration of the aircraft stinks. Nobody should pay business class fares and be so uncomfortable. The design of facing fellow passengers is a brilliant nincompoop.

Entertainment is limited with a relatively old catalogue. Wi-Fi never works and the cabin and lavatory had evidence of a lot of scuff marks and temporary repairs. Nothing unsafe, but a bit tatty in places.

Overall I had good experience with China Southern airline. Nothing to claim. I hoped they could improve the meal quality that is.

Wow very impressed by the quality and attentiveness of service of China Southern. Lived the blankets! Will definitely fly with them again. Despite language barriers, a few attendants know enough English to understand our rudimentary Mandarin and respond to basic questions. Although they don’t explain the beverage and meal service on the website or ticketing documents, they offered regular beverage cart and snacks during the beginning hours and end hours of the long, transoceanic flight. A full meal at the beginning and end of the flight as well, and a midflight small sandwich (dinner roll sized) but we weren’t hungry and didn’t try that one. The expectation is that every sleeps during the middle of the flight. We were on a “redeye” departure from LAX with a morning arrival in China, so I don’t know if this service pattern is the same for other flights. The domestic flight we took from Guangzhou to Harbin offered conventional refreshments and meals like a US flight service. Note that they didn’t offer diet sodas. If you like to stay hydrated, I recommend bringing plenty of your own. It is served in small cups like any other drink. You can ask for a bottle but they’re tiny - about 6 ounces.

China Southern was not the problem. I booked my flight through Kayak and also received a booking reference and alert details regarding departure time and gate numbers… however Kayak NEVER actually booked my flight! We were stranded at the airport without a flight for a long awaited holiday!

The connection between LA and Atlanta was too much stress

Terrible boarding experience,,food is very poor that I I . Never going book this airline again.

The crew were kind, patient and responsive. The service was excellent, even though we travelled the cheapest economy class. We arrived at our destination 40 min early, which for a 15+ hour flight is a great bonus. The boarding seemed a bit "loose", but got us boarded on time, and the plane was off exactly @ 0:30 hrs.

The airport didn‘t give me the ticket. I called customer service to ask for a refund but they kept giving me a perfunctory response and refused to refund me.

The flight was delayed hours and most flights from CS are always delayed. Plane was efficient and got us home but not the best food and no entertainment system at all.

Not good - chair back could not move back for premium economy. Not worth the price

The back of the chair - premium economy could not move back - not worth the price

I wish the leg room was better for Economy especially for the outbound flights to India . The outbound flight to US and Qatar was good

The check-in and crew staff were wonderful. The food was reasonable. The online side Qatar was very poor. Seats were very tight and not very comfortable for a 14 hour flight!

Economy travel is really hard with no room to move especially when the person sitting beside you is an XL or XXL size person who if moving could hit your face

Overall the experience was neat with crew being nice and caring especially to parent with kids. The free snacks option was okay. The kiosk at Philly airport didn’t work.

Indigo airlines is terrible. Staff is awful and so disorganized. They are so rude and unhelpful. I will never travel on Indigo airlines again!!!!!

The American/Hollywood movies in the entertainment system lack english subtitles, they tend to have only arabic subtitles. Coupled with the low quality airplane earphones and cabin noise, it sometimes is difficult to follow the movie dialogues.

All the crew members were too slow and rude. Most of the times the registers were empty, while hundreds of customers were waiting in line, and it was impossible to get a supervisor. Despite being in line on time, I missed my freight, plus a some customers who were ahead and behind me.

Seats very small and unable to pre purchase internet or seat upgrades

They didn't board by zones and it was a free for all. The 16 hour flight was the most excruciating experience of my life and the seats were TINY... with no leg space and my feet were swollen immediately. The food was so bad it was inedible.

The food is not good and also if you ask crew to bring something they say ok I will bring but you will never get it. Please they should listen good to passengers

Surprised at the lower quality of seats on the Boeing 777 in Business Class. Seats are tight and the whole Business class section is jam packed with seats. It doesn’t feel like Business Class at all. Also the way the tray tables are placed with a huge bulky solid metal hinge at knee level makes it so uncomfortable and always anxious that one will accidentally bang their knee on it. Quality of amenities has also declined. Over priced tickets with diminished quality of the entire experience.

It was OK as the seat which we paid for doesn’t have any window. We paid $120 for 3 seats but it’s for nothing. Crew could not help. None of the ports worked so all our phones went dry

A380 First Class Apartments were phenomenal. Comfortable bed and matress cover, superior vegetarian five course meal, shower, small business lounge and plenty of exercise walking around the aircraft.

Horrible. After paying for seats, I was cramped, my daughters legs kept hitting the seat in front, I had no overhead bin space and no help from stewards on board, the food was served cold, when asked for snacks was told to wait and never received any, the flight was cold with no temperature controls. Entertainment was outdated. I booked this through partnership with American Airlines but will avoid in the future.

Took a long time for boarding. The flight was comfortable.

Flight was delayed due to slow boarding process by etihad. Update food options and movies as well.

Extremely bad food, they never gave our bags in time, the online check-in did not let us check in because we had Indian OCI not sure why we were given the option to check in then, because we couldn’t check in online we had to go in person and we were not able to change our seats and sit with our family

Should have had business class line in immigration. Food quality suboptimal

Used to Etihad employees are very rude and unprofessional but now better than before over all is okay now

This flight was a dreamliner so I think the space was ok for the legs, but the option for food was again limited and the crew was same.
