Cons: "I thought I had ordered a vegetarian meal when I booked the flight roughly 1.5 months prior to my trip. However, when the meal was being served, there was only a chicken or pork option and my vegetarian meal had either not been properly booked or had been forgotten. When I informed the staff, I was asked to show proof that I ordered a veggie meal. I could not pull up my email confirmation as we were flying and there was no internet access. I had to lug my bag out of the overhead and search for a print out confirmation. I had not come prepared with the "evidence" the stewardess wanted. While the staff tried to be polite, I also found them to be quite rude, demanding that I produce evidence. Could they not have simply given me an extra salad without all the fuss? I felt I was being treated as a criminal for requesting a veggie meal that had, unfortunately, not been recorded in their system."

It turns out the system is not fully in place, and eventually I was issued a 10 year multiple entry visa by way of apology. JAL did not waive cancellation fee, and I suffered considerable economic damages."

Pros: "My flight was postponed or delayed as the airline like to call it until the next day due to Narita International Airport closing after 11pm! First of all I didn’t realize major international airports closes especially with a airplane still on the runway! After our flight was “delayed” Korean Airlines scrambled to get us into hotels. This process was very poorly organization and many of us non Japanese speakers were left very confused because they kept forgetting to interpret what they said into English. I had to keep reminding them. We had to stay in long lines throughout the process which took up at least 3hrs. On top of that we waited at least 45 minutes the day after to get our new boarding passes! I was so over my trip to Japan by then and very disappointed with how Korean airlines handled the situation. I will most likely not take Korean airlines again and it will be a long time until I take another trip to Japan."

This meant that after clearing this security process at the gate, bathrooms were not available until after boarding the flight and drinking water stations were not easily found in the secure boarding area. The aircraft was comfortable, menus were distributed early so that meal options could be made with full information in advance. The food was good and made available at routine intervals."

They were tired and outdated. Second, The entertainment package was abysmal. Basically, you were forced to watch a TV with bad reception, and no ability to choose what you wanted to see other than flipping through the channels and seeing what was already on. That meant never seeing the beginning of a movie. The picture quality was very poor. Although an international flight of seven hours duration, it felt more like a charter bus to Vegas buy a discount operator. I have the exact same experience flying from Korea to San Francisco on a prior trip. If I could learn how to determine which aircraft I would be flying in the future, I would never book an international trip on Asiana knowing that this particular aircraft would convey me."

Pros: "Between the legs of my Asiana flights, I had a 9-hour overlay at INC. Upstair in the same area with the pricey and exclusive lounges for elite travelers, there was a "Nap Space" or "Nap Place: a large suite of rooms with maybe sixty comfortable couches to catch up on missing sleep... with no sign-up required and no supervisory staff. And totally free of charge! Every airport should consider having such a welcomed service. Also at INC, bona-fide transit passengers with a outbound boarding pass can take a free shower (soap and towels provided as well?). Wow. These amenities surely make INC one of the least loathsome airports in Asia at which a day-long layover may be spent."

Cons: "The screen for the individual entertainment system was extremely small. The one on the A330 was much bigger and better. Also, the limited choices of in-flight entertainment were disappointing."

Tpe-Seoul meals were perfunctory boxes with no choices besides malodorous rice. Entertainment was very thin on movies and (jazz/classical) music, and the preview window was about one by two inches, ludicrously small. No English subtitles on most world or Asian movies."

Cons: "Upon arrival back in Seoul, the bridge would not work properly. We had to wait on the airplane for 45 minutes, causing all of us to miss the last buses from the airport to our neighborhoods. What is usually a 12,000 KRW bus ride turned into a 130,000 taxi ride. (The jimjilbang downstairs was full.) If they had brought out stairs and buses immediately, instead of waiting so long, we might have made it to the buses."

Pros: "Food is excellent. Friendly and courteous flight attendants."

Pros: "Asiana staff are not trained in medical issues such as what to do when a passenger complains they are feeling weak from low blood sugar/hypoglycemia conditions. It is common for people with low blood sugar to have blood sugar drops while flying. The condition is dangerous if not handled properly but can be remedied very easily by simply increasing a passenger's intake of protein (such as chicken or beef) and carbohydrates, such as rice (but not white bread or deserts, as those cause spikes and drops in blood sugar). Basically, you only need an extra meal. I told a crew member about my condition and said I simply needed a second meal. She gave me a problem about it and at first refused. She understood the English words low blood sugar, but she was obviously not trained in that common issue. I was ready to pass out due to a drop in blood sugar and only when I threatened to file a lawsuit in a U.S. court against Asiana (as I anticipated passing out) did she react. Within a few seconds after I mentioned a potential lawsuit, she got me a second meal of chicken and rice. I ate it and the protein and carbs stabilized my blood sugar for the rest of the flight. It's a problem easily remedied but I had to argue with the flight attendant to grant my very simple but very necessary request. Asiana needs to comply with the norms of global carriers and train its staff to understand such comment conditions as low blood sugar. U.S. and European carrier understand this condition very well, and their crews are trained in how to handle it by simply giving extra food. Asiana needs to comply with modern, global norms."
Cons: "If you have low blood sugar dont take Asiana. Crew not trained in this simple medical issue."

Pros: "On time. No issue with baggage. Food provided even though it was only 2 hrs flight and not exactly meal time. The foot rest was helpful."
Cons: "Too long line for baggage check-in after having done self check in."

Cons: "When I missed a flight due to a missed connection this airline refused to rebook my flight directly. I had to go through just flying.com who were just as incompetent. I will never use KAYAK, justfly, nor Asiana airlines ever again. Poor customer service."

Cons: "Delayed for several hours after boarding because of a technical difficulty with the airplane. This delay caused me to miss an important dinner meeting in Thailand and cost me extra money to arrange transportation from the BKK to my hotel."

Cons: "Still can't figure why they would use a 737. Why not deploy the newer aircrafts on international routes. That way, I can avail of their in-flight entertainment on my mobile or tablet, if I could only recharge it onboard. Just minor grouses, but still grouses."

Cons: "On arrival to Chiang Mai our bags were missing. Lady confirmed it was left in Bamgkok, very polote lady. But after the bags got dropped off, there was a notice of it being discoloured from being scraped and damaged. It also has a bad stench amell on it and am very disappointed that this happened. A glass item broke in the bag but this my problem as wasnt properly sealed but goes to show the very rough handly my luggage had. Would be in question if we use Bangkok Air if this is a typical situation. We hope something is compensated for this mishap."

Pros: "I was given a free pass to wait in the dedicated lounge where there was good Wi-Fi and a selection of free food and drinks. The boarding was friendly and efficient and the flight both left and arrived early. The seats were comfortable on this small plane (only 4 seats a row). As the plane was small there was no in-flight entertainment. It wasn't missed."

Cons: "There was a little turbulence that lasted a few minutes and so they cancelled in flight meals meanwhile the air crew continually walked up and down the isle during the entire flight, at the end of the flight, NOR AIR passed on to passengers a 90ml bottle of water. Absolute no air conditioning in the cabin whilst we all sit ready for take off for 10 minutes and it's 37 degrees outside. No consideration for the well fair of it's passengers at all other than showing us the evacuation procedures. This flight company doesn't do the minimum to look after their passengers."

I would have preferred clarification about how the flights had changed and what the new protocol would be."

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that in the event of a 'catastrophic in air event', the fact that I have my headphones on isn't going to make a damn difference. The crew was annoying and unpleasant. That's it."
