Cons: "The main issue was getting off the plane in Sydney - we had to wait for a bus to offload us as the plane was sitting a long distance from the terminal. The bus eventually came, offloaded half the passengers and then returned 20 minutes later to start to offload the rest. It's the longest time I've ever spend disembarking from a plane and clearing an airport - very poor whoever was responsible (I'm assuming Sydney airport was at fault)."

Seats can be a bit cramped but we were in economy and it's a 9 hour flight so some discomfort is expected. The 3 meals served are complimentary and very much appreciated. The entertainment system is an easy to use touch screen with great options from Hollywood and other movie sources."

Cons: "Originating flight in Manila to Taipei to connect to our SFO flight was cancelled late in Manila due to 'technical' issues (waiting in terminal, 4 hours past scheduled departure, which meant missing our connection to SFO), and the ensuing parade through having to stay in Manila overnight (on CA's dime, plus food), then rushed back to the airport the following morning (very short notice), then to have to wait again as CA figured out how to get a previously scheduled flight into the flight plan management systems, and obviously without a proper method to coordinate this sort of thing - ultimately all of this lack of 'control' over their situation, lead to a feeling that China Airlines does not know how to contend with interruptions, or how to make their customers feel informed so that they may be more understanding. In the future - flying Eva - even though this was the first ever event of this type I have had flying China Airlines. Eva provided both meal vouchers and boxes of candy to each and every customer affected while we awaited our flights to our final destinations. CA was silent - and also very absent when we arrived in SFO and went to collect our baggage - again Eva being the party taking action and responsibility to help us get our bags, with 1 of 3 damaged by CA handlers). Bad image CA, bad image."

Since every single passenger has to go through a face to face session with a physical person, CI should really have more personnel available at LAX for the check-in procedures. The business lounge, provided by Korean Airlines, is a big disappointment. Food not worth mentioning. Going through security at TPE for passengers in transit there is no short line. The only line is very, very long, although quick enough. The facility for this procedure should also be renewed."

Even the crying baby in the row over was such a delight!"

Pros: "Very happy the crew was good all in all a good flight and great value for money."

Pros: "Don't normally like leaving from JFK, but it was a direct flight to Vancouver, and the price was right. Also, they included 2 free bags in economy, a big savings. Also the meals were ok, and wine was included. Entertainment system was fine."
Cons: "Would have rather left out of EWR, but for the price it was worth the bit of inconvenience."

Cons: "As we landed 15 minutes early we were forced to wait 45 minutes on the plane because our gate was occupied. after we finally got off and went through customs we waited another hour to receive our luggage. When the luggage finally came out the crews luggage was the first to come out. So we all watched as the crew gathered their luggage which took another 15 minutes. Shouldn't the paying customers be first?"

Pros: "Boarding was organized. Food was excellent. A couple of complaints from fellow passengers were handled very professionally by crews. Leg room was not an issue for me as I am an average Asian height but for medical purposes - there should be a policy for them to separate sick-looking passengers from older passengers and children."
Cons: "Seat covers were musty and smells old - they need to change those! Flight got delayed for almost one hour while trying to dock because there was no assigned hangar station for the plane! How can an international airline company allow themselves to be treated like that? The crew looked overworked - what are these airline companies doing to these young professionals - treat them like slaves? I'm not surprised - that's the Philippines companies ways - pay them just enough so they can come back the next time to work."

Pros: "The staff is always hospitable. I was pleased that they left a snack for me even when I was sleeping because when I wake up I was hungry. I also like the disposable toothbrush and paste provided. And bathrooms on the flight were clean, unlike some other airlines."
Cons: "The movie selection was not as good this time as my previous flight with Philippine Airlines, but not a big problem.problem"

Pros: "There wasn't much about this flight I liked to be honest."
Cons: "It was extremely delayed with no explanation from the crew."

Pros: "Seats should be improved, thicker and more comfortable. Honestly I preferred standing halfway thru the flight . It was like concrete!! Rice was so mushy thought it was mash potatoes at first . Crew was exceptional w their service and the washrooms were kept clean even towards the end of the flight. Very important."

Cons: "Food is awful, and options are limited. I also think they need to reconsider playing music on the aircraft, it’s quite irritating."

Pros: "Toilets were kept clean through out the flight. New and clean airplane. Good space between the seats."
Cons: "Flight attendant was rude in general (serving food, drinks, answering questions), he skipped rows when giving hot towels (I wasn't served a hot towel). In-flight entertainment: limited movie selection, even more limited tv shows selection. Music section was very poor, it needs more selection with variaty, known artists, more radio channels. And music tracks should be in a tracklist form with song information, not only 1 hour-long tracks of back to back music (with no info). Meals - Mains were ok, deserts were terrible in both of my flights. Snacks were also bad, a scone and beef and cheese sandwich. Very blend, white bread only and oily. We weren't served enough bevarages, so oily and high-carb foods made me very thursty. No water fountains, it'd be great to have some around since staff does not give enough beverage and I was forced to chuck my water before boarding the airplane (the water I bought in the airport after passport check!!!!!!!) It was extremely cold."

Cons: "Slow check in, strollers can't be taken to the plane and are not left outside the plane at arrival this is extremely inconvenient for families with small children. The website is useless. You cant check your reservation or select a seat until 24 hours before your flight."

Pros: "Excellent flight despite 90 minute delay at Vancouver. They emailed and called me several hours earlier"

Pros: "The crew went above and beyond and made sure I had a meal that I could eat despite not having ordered ahead. Everyone was friendly and things ran very smoothly."

Pros: "the service and overall quality and comfort of plane"

Pros: "The lemon butter fish was one of the better airplane meals I've ever had. Boarding was quick and smooth. Taiwanese people take the longest of any nationality to board a plane (they have a series of "pre-seating" maneuvers which cause huge backups). Despite this, the flight attendants politely humored them and were not pushy. Had this happened in the US, the flight attendants would have told them to sit down, get out of the way, and do their aisle stretching exercises and random meanders around the plane AFTER all passengers had been seated!"
Cons: "The plane was old and dirty. The flight attendants seemed more interested in gossiping with each other than greeting passengers (though one or two were very good and professional). Only one flight attendant could speak Chinese. This was not a problem for me, though it was for some of the Taiwanese tourists."

Pros: "Customer service was horrible when I called to ask for assistance prior to the trip. The first flight was delayed multiple times for over ten hours due to weather (which was fine) and "waiting for a customer to board." The second return flight was again delayed. The worst was baggage: it took over two hours from parking at gate to me retrieving my check-in baggage from the baggage claim. This airline was horrible. Even though the flight crew was decent, I will not return. This was my first and will be my last time flying with this airline."
