Pros: Virgin Australia is the best! From the boarding crew to in flight service, everything was above and beyond.

Cons: Our flight was delayed because of poor rostering due to one of the crew being out of hours and another crew member had to be brought from Brisbane to Sydney to join the flight. Not very professional in my eyes.

Cons: I bought travel insurance to ensure that if anything came up, the trip would be covered. Because of the fire in Australia and my asthma, my doctor recommended I no longer go on the trip. With my doctor's note, we were able to get a full refund on our airBnB rentals, but not on our flights. Turns out the travel insurance doesn't cover natural disasters and pre-existing conditions. It only covered if I got a disease right now and my doctor said I couldn't travel now. When we bought the tickets, the fires weren't drastically destroying much of the country's landscape and the air quality. I was still able to cancel the trip, but I only got $358 back from my $758 travel payment, and it cost me $100 processing fee. I pretty much only got $258 back. I also paid $50 for travel insurance that didn't really cover anything. I don't think I'm ever going to buy travel insurance ever again. It is what it is, and my health is more important than money...but still...

Cons: I had to claim my bag between Jetstar flights and then go through security again to my second leg....I flew from Hobart to Auckland today. So at Melbourne I spent several hours in the process Of going to claim my bag, going through security again and rechecking it. Horror...terrible experience. I will never fly Jetstar again....they do not transfer bags between the flights on their own airlines which I booked under the same ticket.

Pros: They charged me so much for extra luggage even I prepaid online for extra luggage prior to getting to airport. Yet the ticket counter lady made me pay an additional fee and all together I ended paying more for extra bags fee than the ticket itself! both Virgin and JetStar are VERY stingy on extra luggage fees. I came from the US to Australia and traveled domestically while there with all the luggage that I brought from the US. So I had to pay so much in fees when my trip was already so expensive! It makes me reconsider wanting to travel again anywhere anytime soon, so discouraging! Also they make me take stuff out of my big suitcase and transfer to my carry on, in front of everyone at the ticket counter I had to open my suitcase and transfer some stuff so the weight is under a certain weight. Still they charged me for extra luggage. I came international on Qantas from USA to Australia, so all the domestic locations I went to I was charged

Pros: Easy check in on line and at baggage check in at Nadi, landing was good, the fact that we made it safely was also good, great crew - I felt sorry for them too!

Cons: Screaming kids, I had one kicking the back of my seat pretty much the whole trip, as well as throwing tantrums (I know this isn't the fault of the airline but the crew could've helped a tad more - can't blame them for not wanting to go near them though I didn't want to be seated in front oft them either!!!) No tv for inflight entertainment, meal very average, they ran out of one of the choices early on (probably the only good choice!), landing was good…very relieved to arrive!

Cons: First of all, your selection of food could be way better. You’re traveling between two places that have extensive access to rice - why is your gluten-free menu so poor? Your airline crew are scary and I’m worried that if there was a true emergency none of them would know how to get us off the plane safely.

Cons: Flight cancelled because internet went down on site. However, Virgin Australia and Qantas airlines were able to paper book their passengers and fly to destination. Jet star couldn’t do the same. Even though the internet came back up Jetstar couldn’t complete the passenger flight check in. The Airport staff stated the internet was a risk and instead put 200 people on buses and drove us 5 hours across a 42C desert. Somehow driving across the desert was safer. The icing on the cake was the Internet stayed up for the next hour prior to our bus ride and within the flight crews crew day. So, we could all have flown home with the Jetstar flight crew who actually flew back to Sydney. Yes missed the fireworks and expensive hotel stay on New Years Eve. Finally, Jetstar rebooked is on a flight to Adelaide then to Sydney so we wouldn’t arrive until 945pm. I certainly didn’t appreciate my direct 3 hour flight being turned into a 5 hour bus ride then a 7 hour flight. Oh, please tell them thanks for the piece of cheese and two crackers, apple and apple juice for dinner. What could be done better.....eliminate Jetstar from your list of service providers. Cons: I went online to put that I needed gluten free food and when everyone else was getting their food I was told no gluten free food on domestic flights so I got no food. You need to take that option off of your website if you don’t intend to serve people with celiac.

Cons: Seat space (as tight as ever), onboard refreshments (ran out of orange juice so only had water to offer as complimentary drink)

Cons: Cabin service was basic for business class. The cabin crew never came to see us again after lunch was served.

Pros: Payed for checked bags online in advance. Also for queue jump which allows you to be among the earlier boarders. Checked in early and the clerk advised us we could change and get better seats than we had and we moved to an exit row.
