Also they make me take stuff out of my big suitcase and transfer to my carry on, in front of everyone at the ticket counter I had to open my suitcase and transfer some stuff so the weight is under a certain weight. Despite the line (of several hundred people), the staff appeared to have no urgency about moving customers through the check-in process, and at one point two of the the three workers quit working, packed up and left. Replacements arrived five minutes later and took another five to ten minutes to set-up before helping customers - leaving one agent for the overflowing line. Total wait time for check-in alone was over 1 hour."

Cons: "Appalling that in this day and age, Virgin does not cater for gluten intolerance. It's not hard to have meals without wheat, yet there's never a gluten free option even when there are non-Pasta based dishes such as curries and stir-fries. Gluten intolerance is so common these days so it's unbelievable that Virgin doesn't try to ensure at least one of the dishes doesn't have wheat/gluten. A 5 hour trip to/from Perth to Brisbane is a very long time to have no savoury meals. I never thought I'd say this, being a loyal Virgin flyer; Qantas is looking more appealing as they cater for GF meals Alim domestic flight and have started to improve their customer service."

I asked to redress thsi for the retrun trip and have since discovered that the details have NOT been updated despite paying! So now I need to call Jetstar and worknthrough the issue."
