Pros: Price was ok

Cons: Flight was 90 minutes delayed. No updates in terminal. No apologies from crew

Pros: Service was great. Best food hubby and I ever had on a flight, international or domestic!

Cons: Turned up at the airport and they wanted $50 for the first 15 kg then $15 PER KILO for checked baggage. I had tried prepaying on my mobile phone and they wanted $50 plus a $25 service fee. Turns out if you use a laptop there is no additional $25 fee. Don't wait until you get to the airport to pay for checked baggage! Only free beverage is water. Soft drinks are charged for. No free pretzels or anything.

Pros: crew was friendly, online checkin opens 72 hrs before and they send notification email as a reminder.

Cons: Crew in the air were fine, crew at check in was very unfriendly and tried to say I was over with baggage - 2 bags at 10kg for 2 people - I dont think so.......7kg each

Cons: A woman who clearly couldn’t speak English having her weighed parcel thrown off said scale when the worker got too impatient with her. A cup of sunshine wouldn’t have gone astray

Cons: Airline lost our bags on way to Australia so we had to buy extra clothing and personal items while here. Then airline charges us $65 because our bags are overweight with the things we had to buy because of lost bags.

Cons: Overpriced excess of luggage. Classic trick only used by the cheapest airline companies.

Cons: Flight cancelled because internet went down on site. However, Virgin Australia and Qantas airlines were able to paper book their passengers and fly to destination. Jet star couldn’t do the same. Even though the internet came back up Jetstar couldn’t complete the passenger flight check in. The Airport staff stated the internet was a risk and instead put 200 people on buses and drove us 5 hours across a 42C desert. Somehow driving across the desert was safer. The icing on the cake was the Internet stayed up for the next hour prior to our bus ride and within the flight crews crew day. So, we could all have flown home with the Jetstar flight crew who actually flew back to Sydney. Yes missed the fireworks and expensive hotel stay on New Years Eve. Finally, Jetstar rebooked is on a flight to Adelaide then to Sydney so we wouldn’t arrive until 945pm. I certainly didn’t appreciate my direct 3 hour flight being turned into a 5 hour bus ride then a 7 hour flight. Oh, please tell them thanks for the piece of cheese and two crackers, apple and apple juice for dinner. What could be done better.....eliminate Jetstar from your list of service providers. Cons: The flight was extremely delayed and appeared to be the turn around time due to the flight arrival time and the passengers on the flight unloading. I note that my departure flight was also delayed significantly. This return flight delay caused me to miss my flight, even though I had a good buffer.

Cons: We did not get on the flight, there was no staff available to check in our bags. Everyone we spoke to was rude and abnoxious at Brisbane airport. The only people were lovely and helpful were the volunteers in the blue shirts who tried to direct us in the right direction. We finally got on a flight and still had to pay for it.

Pros: Free upgrade to exit seats because I’m tall! Didn’t even ask!

Pros: I have used this airline several times for short (2h30) and long (8h) haul flights and they are just aweful. Only certain people get food (even on the long haul), horrible staff that look down on you and ignore you, uncomfortable seats that make you feel like a sardine. Just aweful

Cons: Trying to check in online and add a checked bag was awful. I called customer service and they charged me $65 including $5 for them to help me. Awful experience

Cons: This companies business model is high friction. I ended up with two tickets for my daughter on the same flights as one of their affiliates had problems with their website so it told me I wasn’t successful booking when i later found out the message was wrong. In the interim i booked the small flights on Tiger. I called both companies 4 times got the usual Asian call center responses and finally someone had the guts to tell me they would do nothing about it. Just insane and that’s what you will be if you ignore my advice. My daughter ended up with two flights she could never use and they would not do a single thing to help apart from go through their call center script to keep their jobs. You have been warned. Kayak should never refer people to gotogate.com. They offer similar customer service and would also do nothing.

Pros: There is absolutely nothing about this flight or this airline that I enjoyed in the slightest.

Cons: We had to empty our water bottles prior to getting on board which felt like a waste of resources. If it is necessary to do so, maybe it would be beneficial for the staff to let us know why we have to dump clean water down the drain.

Pros: Crew was great - boarding was efficient and on time

Cons: Seats are not comfortable/ergonomic, all movies, tv, games and everything is for purchase - it would be nice to have some free options. Also - no complimentary beverage/snack service.

Cons: Boarding exceptionally slow due to intensive screening of each passengers hand luggage. Opportunististic for making an extra $36/bag if a gram over 7. Seat unable to recline. Literally not enough room for legs and needed to sit sideways and I’m not that tall!

Cons: Flight was delayed and then put into stack in Sydney - but given the Sydney weather over the weekend maybe that was to be expected. Flight crew could be more aware of annoying teenagers and others being disruptive in the cabin and painful for other passengers.

Pros: We paid for extra legroom seats because we were so uncomfortable on the flight up to Cairns. It was worth the money to be comfortable. As it happens it was an older plane with more room anyway.

Cons: I bought travel insurance to ensure that if anything came up, the trip would be covered. Because of the fire in Australia and my asthma, my doctor recommended I no longer go on the trip. With my doctor's note, we were able to get a full refund on our airBnB rentals, but not on our flights. Turns out the travel insurance doesn't cover natural disasters and pre-existing conditions. It only covered if I got a disease right now and my doctor said I couldn't travel now. When we bought the tickets, the fires weren't drastically destroying much of the country's landscape and the air quality. I was still able to cancel the trip, but I only got $358 back from my $758 travel payment, and it cost me $100 processing fee. I pretty much only got $258 back. I also paid $50 for travel insurance that didn't really cover anything. I don't think I'm ever going to buy travel insurance ever again. It is what it is, and my health is more important than money...but still...

Cons: There was a huge delay, all the flights I bypassed with Virgin because they didn't leave early enough left long before us. While we were waiting they didn't even post anything at the gate. Once on the plane the seats were among the tightest I have ever experienced. They even charge for coffee. I won't use them again if I have an option.
