Pros: "Crews were great. Seats space could be better ... overall caring & attentiveness of crew members make a lot of difference."
Cons: "Food! 40 years ago Singapore Airlines was second to none in my book! Now I feel like I was away somewhere and Singapore Airlines has changed dramatically....Must be a lot of moving pieces have changed that I was wondering again during my journey whether I was really flying Singapore Airlines..."
Cons: "More storage space in business"
Cons: "Rather long wait at business check-in, friendliness there ok, on board service slow with the champagne, old aircraft with old configuration of seats, nothing really bad, but it's not like this that you win an airline of the year award!"
Pros: "Amazing services and foods"
Cons: "The business class seat was great"
Cons: "Nothing comment."
Pros: "Staff was great as usual"
Cons: "Many entertainment monitors including my row of seats were stuck for a while. The “please fasten your seatbelt” was on the screen and made the monitor unusable for the first 1hr of the flight"
Pros: "I like all"
Pros: "Everything. New plane amazing food on a two hour flight Great new entertainment system on the seat back."
Cons: "A little more leg room."
Pros: "Boarding went smoothly, crew extremely curtious and helpful."
Cons: "Plane was an older model and I did not have strength to recline seat. Quality of seat back screens poor and hand sets difficult to navigate for a technophobe like Ma."
Pros: "Better flight as bigger craft and no neighbours in my row so I got some sleep."
Pros: "(Previous PE comparisons: Turkish AL, Air NZ, SAS) Ease of check-in, on-time dep/arr, crew attention and responsiveness, seating within the range to be expected of this class."
Cons: "Plane condition: Cosmetic plastic panel below monitor and seat back pocket on Seat 31E fell off when foot rest was lowered; had previously been secured by adhesive tape. Panel removed by crew. In-flight entertainment system: Persistent intermittent loss of sound while listening to movie or TV program. Food: Tried to use "Book the Cook" feature touted by Singapore's website. Was unable to get on site for that purpose. The last try a message appeared (late September) that site was being "rebuilt." On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Singapore treated us as coach with a roomier cabin and seating pitch."
Pros: "Very comfortable. best airline I flew on overall and was first time ."
Cons: "Charges for extra bag was steep- $150. Location at LAX airport is far. While nice to have many options for meal but did not low-carb so I only ate half my food"
Pros: "Singapore Airlines delivers as always. Friendly crew and clean and well maintained aircraft."
Pros: "Flight time"
Pros: "The crew was very nice and professional and the amenities were top notch."
Cons: "There wasn't enough leg room. My knees touched the chair in front of me the whole time."
Pros: "Food, service"
Pros: "Brand new aircraft, excellent service and food"
Cons: "J class seat, 12A window. Top of my seat curled around my sides, which blocked vision thru 1.5 of the 3 windows I had access to. The enclosure also protuded into my left bicep when I had my elbow resting on the arm rest. Table on my right hand side was too close to my body, and to high to reach a drink easily, I literally had to lift my whole right arm to pick up a glass."
Pros: "Very attentive and super awesome crew."
Pros: "Efficient, comfortable."
Cons: "Delayed 2 hours behind schedule"
Cons: "Hostesses not so pleasant"
Cons: "I am a vegetarian and they served a chicken piece along with my main course."
Pros: "Great service"
Cons: "Expected to have more indian movie choices."
Cons: "Headphones didn’t work entirely for listening to movies. Had to manually hold it in."
Pros: "Priority line for boarding and security, reclining seats, foot stand"
Cons: "Priority boarding not available in India, food and food choices and lackluster service"
Pros: "Even though the flight was just 45 mins, the crew were able to pop out a beverages round"
Cons: "Nothing to mention, all was good"
Cons: "This flight is on an old plane. The entertainment system was dated and the seats didn't recline properly. Food wasn't very good and they offered a very limited selection considering it is a 7-hour flight. Not worth doing Singapore Airlines business class for this leg."
Pros: "Service was nice."
Cons: "Comparing to recent businesses class flight on Emirates; Singapore airlines seat does not recline to flat bed. Boarded flight st 11pm and arrived at Singapore at 7am. Toiletries like tooth brush and paste, razor etc. were not provided. Emirates provides, so we did not pack in-flight."
Pros: "The service crew served us well. They are friendly and helpful"
Cons: "Too many Indian movies"
Cons: "Foods serving were too slow for economy class. Not enough selections for entertainment."
Pros: "Efficient courteous and attractive crew. Good food drink selection and great entertainment system."
Cons: "Unfortunately the plane was an older 777-200 with smaller TV screens but otherwise fine."
Pros: "Delayed flight from Shanghai due to air traffic issues, so I had a 10 minute window to make my connection in Singapore. Ground staff was waiting for me with a small car after I disembarked to drive me to the gate. And I somehow made my connection. Excellent service. Obviously my checked bag didn't make it, but I was told in advance and was kept updated before boarding and immediate after I disembarked at my final destination. When I went to the baggage service counter, they were already ready for me, had filled out my paperwork, and just needed an address to confirm the delivery of my suitcase. I'm super impressed to this attention to detail."
Pros: "1) Crew very personable and accommodating 2) Food was good 3) Arrival on schedule 4) Entertainment system provided lots of choices 5) Baggage arrived in reasonable amount of time"
Cons: "1) Economy seating was cramped (long-haul flights should have more spacious seating) 2) Crying babies made flight almost unbearable 3) Process of leaving the plane took too long because only one exit door was used 4) Departure delayed by 35-40 minutes (made up in flight)"
Pros: "Friendly staff."
Cons: "Kids' meal didn't have fruits. No cellphone charger."
Pros: "Great price"
Cons: "Food is not good"
Pros: "As usual, plane is in good shape and crew are well trained. Nothing wrong with all the basics, but Singapore Air has definitely lost its lustre."
Cons: "For heaven's sake, please don't announce a boarding procedure and then not follow it. If you want to have a free-for-all rugby scrum to get on the plane, so be it. But don't announce boarding by rows/groups and then not make even a lame attempt to adhere to it."
Pros: "I am still trying to find my bags. I missed my connection and Jet Blue made me stand in a line to get rebooked for 7 hours. Unprofessional, uncaring. None of this was my fault but everyone who represents Jet Blue treated me as if it were. Never again"
Cons: "Same food options as previous flight Not as many movie options as the longer flight"
Pros: "got us there, efficient and effective crew."
Pros: "Lots of movie and game options"
Cons: "Staff was slow to tend to my needs (i.e. Water), continually bumped into my shoulder or leg. Would not accommodate moving my seat next to my wife's because a couple wanted to have an entire row to themselves. Very frustrating"
Pros: "Singapore Air is keeping up their standard which is a tough job. I give credit to them while doing so. They do have a high bar to keep. Singapore Air still pampers its travellers by providing hot towels for refreshment. Something that I don't enjoy while flying on other airlines. Keep up the good job."
Cons: "I saw a scotch tape taping over the arm of the seat! This is rather amusing and seems unacceptable. This is Singapore Air that we are talking about. Are we saying that Singapore Air do not have any proper repair kit to fix it without using scotch tape?? Being one of the world's 5-star airline, I think Singapore Airline can do better than that. :)"
Pros: "Everything else was good"
Cons: "I purchased wifi and it was too slow to load my movie. Ear buds fell out of ears."
Pros: "The food, the seating, the upgrade, the very polite and attentive staff. I thanked them, and for that, they gave me a hand written note and a set of cards. So sweet. Totally worth it to fly Singapore."
Cons: "I didn't like how Vayasan and Singapore airlines telephone check in both claimed they could not upgrade. It was part of the policy/seating I bought. They were wrong, the airlines at San Francisco airport did it without blinking, after checking my visa status."
Pros: "I have never encountered nicer more professional staff. They always had smiles and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I always tell friends if they have a chance to fly Singapore Airlines to do it. They won't regret it. Especially on long flights."
Cons: "I was in economy class but I would have liked more leg room. My knees where hurting from having little leg room."
Pros: "Comfortable seats."
Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."
Pros: "On time departure and take off. Smooth landing."
Pros: "Good service as usual."
