Pros: "The first flight (Perth to Melbourne) was delayed 45 minutes and left the bay at 2:20am. Bother flights were on an old A320 plane, so no TV, seat pockets, plug sockets or USB outlets. I was also informed that I had to pick my luggage up at baggage claim in Melbourne and re-Check-in even though I had booked through to Ayers Rock. The re-check-in is a way to get money from clients because I was charged $60AUD for an overweight baggage. Strange, because I was never asked about it in Perth."

Also, after our flight was cancelled due to weather, they were not very cooperative to take care of us - they put us on a flight two days later and didn't help us to get on an earlier flight on Qantas (their parent company)."

Pros: "JetStar has gotten some bad reviews, but I found this flight to be quite acceptable. Everything was straightforward, as compared to Virgin Australia. Basically, no surprises."

Pros: "No redeeming factors with awful customer service. I missed my connecting flight due to another flight being late. As a result, I called them to notify them I would not be able to make the flight and asked to switch flights. After explaining the situation, they refused to waive the flight change fee and even charged additional fees even though I had no control of the situation. They took advantage of the situation I was forced into and have no ethics. Absolute garbage."

Cons: "After nearly one hour in line then we are charged $75 prr baggage and to pay for it we had to go yet in another line. All this cost us a lot of delays and we almost missed our flight. Even though we were at the airport almost 2 hours before flight time. Check in process was extremely old fashion. Been on the plane we won’t even asked for food so I am not sure what with the system there either we have to pre-buy the food or something else that we weren’t made aware of. And we had to pay for our own water."

Cons: "I made a mistake on booking. Called them immediately. Not the least bit helpful of sympathetic. Ridiculous baggage policy and charges. Will avoid this airline in the future unless it's an emergency."

Pros: "Smooth flying and arrived 30 minutes early."

Cons: "I knew I was going to check a bag. Jetstar sent me a text instructing me to check in, which I did. No info about baggage with the check in. Got to the airport and they charged me almost $100 for luggage. If I had prepaid it would have been $30. Staff at checking counter were rude and unhelpful."

Cons: "Did not expect the air fare quoted did not include a bag. We paid a primium for our bags on the day of the flight. Pay close attention and add the bag when you buy the ticket, or travel light. There is only food for purchase, but we did get water for free."

Cons: "$60 for the first 15kg bag then $15 per KILO for any overage. Our extra bag (cold weather gear from New Zealand leg) cost $225 additional- wow!!! Be sure to add in baggage fees when comparing prices. On plus side, they didn't enforce 7(yes, seven) kg carry on limit."

Pros: "I honestly can't think of a single thing I liked about this flight, but if pressed, perhaps I enjoyed the staff in Honolulu during check in. The rest was horrible. Hated it all."
Cons: "Absolutely horrible. This airline is truly the Greyhound of the sky. There was an absurd amount of families on this flight with really young screaming, ill-behaved children and their indifferent parents. The flight attendants were equally indifferent and unhelpful. You get absolutely nothing for free - everything cost - food, blankets, pillows, etc. on this 10 hour flight. AND when water was requested, it was a small, mouthwash size cup with a note, that "we charge for water." $4. Wow. Probably one of the worst experiences in the air ever. I won't be back. The price was stellar, but after paying for seats, luggage and enduring the people on the flight, I'd prefer to pay more and get A LOT MORE from an airline like Virgin Australia. If you're cutting corners and trying to save money, save yourself and your sanity and spend a little more on quality airline."

The allowance was also much less than on other airlines- traveling for 2 months made this a real surprise and made us shuffle things around at the counter. Awkward and we were able to carry the extra on so what was the point of the inconvenience. Kayak should have provided option to purchase at time of booking. Not even water included in flight."

Pros: "The plane was nice and I was comfortable for the most part in coach. Which is where I always fly. The leg room was good and I had ample storage overhead and below the seat in front of me. The staff were nice. The co-pilot was very polite."
Cons: "At the end of the day you don't want the customer thinking....geez, for the cost I ended up paying, I could have bought the higher priced ticket with _____ airline. My opinion, this would not be my choice of business models. - Some reasonable amount of luggage should be included past the carry on. - I would not charge separately for blankets and entertainment. If I did it would be such a nominal fee that everyone would just do it. - I feel the same way for snacks, water, soda, coffee, etc. Some appropriate fee that is not a major upcharge. I think from a customer satisfaction standpoint I would charge $25 more on each ticket and provide more without all the upcharges. It just feels better."
