It is so far a cut above the American carriers. There’s no way to compare them, because Qatar Airways is so far superior. The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best.
i did not like the baggage policy for cabin baggage, where i am not allowed to carry my personal item and a carry on separately.

Whilst the main meal was ok, as far as breakfast on the LHR to KUL sector was concerned, by the time I was served my preference was no longer available. The crew member who served me made no attempt to see if another colleague had my preference available.
New plane and spacious.
No choice in meal for breakfast. Only one type available. Ran out of red wine. White wine wasn’t chilled. Poor service, no water was offered on a long flight. Have to ask it.

Delayed and waste time at Jakarta airport
They changed my seat without telling me and the new seat has a faulty video monitor and also a faulty USB port.. no compensation received.. terrible airline

Charges for extra bag was steep- $150. Location at LAX airport is far. While nice to have many options for meal but did not low-carb so I only ate half my food

With Singapore Airlines the service is always good I actually paid extra to fly them after three weeks in India
Older plane with a fair amount of broken down details Plugs don’t all work, magazine pocket had rips, etc.... could be that they allocate resources to different markets

Very nice comfortable seats in business and wonderful FA. This was a short connection so i was nervous what to do as ive never been to guangzhou before...but they met me at the departure stairs, another person guided me thru all the steps to security and it was great! No line at security so i was thru fast...very impressive airport and china southern
No vip bus for businessclass, we waited a long time, poor organization. Flight delaye of 30 minutes. Then nine of my luggage arrived in manila!! Very bad! The baggage agent couldnt tell even where the bags were at...very poor organization. Finally got the bags de,ivered the next day but no compensation...im unimoressed with this asoect of china southern..poorly done

When we landed Guangzhou, the polit’s landing was amazing.
The food was horrible this time. Only had two meals, some had three meals. They are suppose to feed you before you land, but only some had three meals. Maybe it’s time to consider free WiFi. It’s such a long flight.
I called the airline phone number many times but no one answered the call. I might not book the air ticket next because of this. Other than that, the overall service is good.
The airline website is terrible and misleading. I paid for an extra long leg seat but chose a regular seat because the website didn’t indicate it clearly. I ended up losing my money and sat at the compact seat.

Customer service is excellent as usual. The plane is very well outfitted and modern. You can generally trust the Cathay standard. The pilots are good, and even though departure may have been delayed, we arrived ahead of schedule.
I didn't prefer the premium economy section. Uncomfortable. I'd rather pay the fare for a cheaper economy seat, that is equally uncomfortable. It's terrible to start charging people for small, petty things like choosing one's seat.
I thought the service on this flight was much better this time around; at least from where I was sitting. The attendants seemed to come around more often and there was a much better food selection for everyone involved. Overall, I found the flight to be safe, mostly comfortable, and the food was excellent.
I had a family sitting next to me (I was in the aisle) and I felt that while the attendants were courteous and prompt in accommodating me, they all but ignored the people in the middle seats. I had to keep asking them on the attendant's behalf if they needed anything before they rushed on by. At one point the father told me that he was getting better service from me than the attendants. Also, one of the TV screens didn't work in one of the middle seats so the family had to do a switcharoo with their little one after they got settled so their son could have the working screen. I personally found that it was very difficult to recline my seat - I really had to quite literally put my back into it to get it to click into the reclining position.
Food wasnt very nice, Stringy, Dry Beef, Over cooked veges and the Yorkshire pud ( I think) ??? We did not enjoy, in fact returned most.
I didn't like your time tables where you use only 12 hrs. It's okay to go all the way to 24 instead of 12/12 I had to rebook my ticket at additional expenses

Food selection available was not good in my opinion - pretty much tailored to Indian appetite and stomachs. Very pour options for juices and alternate foods.
Sat near the back. Pre dinner drinks ran out before they got to us. When they came back with more, they skipped us by starting further back. We brought that to their attention and got our drinks, but they never offered drinks again.
Good flight, no complaints
2 1/2 delay with no information to travelers. We were told Gate A then at the last minute (after a couple of hours) it was switched to Gate C. We had to take a transport to new gate and were afraid we would miss flight as the original flight time was still posted. There was no updated flight info anywhere. Very stressful after what was already a long wait.
Service and welcome was great.
Entertainment system was old and screen was not working the first 2 hours.
That I got to London...
We were stuck on the plane for two hours because of engine issues, and there is no air in coach in their planes. It was 90 degrees in there! For two hours! The other classes had air and we had none, it was a health violation for sure.

This time I found the food was below Thai Airways standard (which was usually good to great).

The boarding process can be improved. I traveled with children (7 & 8 years old) and normally we would get the shortest line. But this time we had to board with other long lines which not so comfortable for our children. Also the flight was delayed by 20 minutes. Thai airways should really be improved on this area.

The A330 was old, no charging ports for chairs, limited leg room and the entertainment system was a struggle to use

We had an amazing crew from Sydney to Perth from the Captain on down. They were courteous, professional, intuitive and extremely helpful. Of the 3 legs on our long journey this crew was the best.
Crew was great..easy check in for a techno dinosaur like me.
Was not impressed with the seat armrests...but it was my first time on the dreamliner...usually fly airbus and sleep like a top !Would also prefer not to have to do customs till I reached Adelaide but thats just a minor quibble.
The crew & service on our Denver to Munich flight were incredible. Courteous, professional & fun. A crew like this makes flying a pleasure.
The seats in economy on the A-350 were a horror show. Couldn't have made them more uncomfortable if they tried. It seems with each new model Airbus puts out the seats regress to more medieval technology.
I feel like no one has responded to any of my complaints. We were re routed twice and left with no where to sleep, missing work, and paying a bunch of extra for cars to and from airport. My friend was refunded and I have yet to receive one response even though we flew and bought our tickets together.
We were able to upgrade to a business class seat (row 1) just 2 days before the flight since we had put in a bid a month before to do so if it was accepted. Honestly, the seat DID NOT EVEN RECLINE, NOR DID IT FEEL VERY SPACIOUS! I felt very taken advantage of to only have access to that part of the plane giving us more leg room for $200 upgrade for each seat. When does a Business Class seat NOT recline??? At least my flight attendant was kind enough suggesting that I let the airline know about my unhappy experience.
Very comfortable with enough of leg room. Huge choice of movies. 8 hours flight just passed fast with 4 movies I have watched.
Pasta with beef can be better.
There was a group of ~20 French teenagers that did a lot of noise, like it was their own private field trip.

Everything (with the exception of the subject below), thank you. One thing that really surprised me, though, is how much I liked the eggs (on both flights) and what went with the eggs, like the spinach and potatoes and bacon on this flight and the potatoes and sausage (and was there something else?) on the next flight. Kudos for making something that has got to be cheap taste good. Thanks.
Come to think of it, there was one thing that I didn't particularly like, and that was how the headphones only worked on one side only (there was only audio on one side). At first I thought that maybe I had just gotten bad headphones, but the my next flight was the same: the headphones also only played audio on one side.
Bathrooms needed more cleaning mid-flight.
I loved the in flight entertainment, and there was always so many snacks and drinks available for free!
For boarding, we had to walk a rather far distance due to construction.
Pilot was great— we don’t thank them enough for a smooth and safe arrival. Plane was great. Ammenities were given (such as ear plugs etc)
Crew members are a bit bland and lack customer service, but I noticed that as a whole in Australia (slow service/not really interactive or communicative & very quick to make comments and leave) not sure if they just hate Americans based on the media or what. One crew member cut in line at the restroom when there was 3 of us waiting to go. Another told me my husband couldn’t receive his meal because he was napping and then he quickly walked away— Yet i received mine on the flight coming to Australia when my husband asked for me? Sanitation between flights should be more strict-my headphones were opened which lead me to believe my pillow wasn’t changed either, since one had a case and one didn’t.

The toilet flushed when I was still on the toilet seat. Happened again on the long haul sector. The take a very long time to switch on the entertainment and turn it off as soon as decent commences- so if you have air traffic problems - it could be off for an hr before and after takeoff and landing. unnecessary as most people have their own headsets as well. Very limited food served at inappropriate times with no flexibility. No information provided on what meals would be served at what times. Very limited entertainment. Very long uncomfortable flight compounded by crew hawking duty free goods like vendors at a fish market, waking many of those who had been fortunate enough to fall asleep.

Not much - perhaps that we had booked the last row and only had two seats together
The seats were minuscule...the depth was narrower than when Id previously used different airlines. The space between rows was also compromised. I think that the Dreamliner is even more streamlined with less space so they can put more passengers on! The toilet kept flushing when seated on it! The food was repetitive - ordered Asian Veg and got almost the same food for 3 meals. The dessert was exactly the same 1 piece of melon and 2 cubes pineapple. The male crew member did not want to be there. He grunted at the passengers. He was annoyed and when clearing food trays dropped it and aI wore custard all over me and the armrest of my seat. Fortunately I had a blanket covering me so it all landed on that. He was more upset that it also splattered him.

The seats seemed to have more space on this plane which was nice.
It felt strange that the crew members completely skipped over me when serving lunch and drinks. At least something as basic as water should be given to all passengers.
Everything was great! Crew incredible. They acknowledged my wife’s birthday and made her feel special. Food was ultra salubrious. Loved the big screen monitor.

Despised the cold temperature and cold draft in world business even with all vents shut off...gave me a head cold. Boarding was disorganized. There was no sense of direction; ergo, everyone was jumping in.
Seats were comfortable and there was enough room for hand baggage. I slept during the flight so do not have opinion on entertainment.
Not able to charge my digital devices. When serving beverages and food, the same flight attendant missed me a few times. That was annoying but other attendants were very nice.

Our trolley bag was taken put in the hold despite others with the same case or bigger bags being allowed on and practically forcing their bags into overhead lockers. Our bag measured exactly the required dimensions. It was one rule for one and one rule for another
