Flight attendants would walk the aisles every two hours and offer water to everyone. I had never flown Air New Zealand before, but now it's one of my top airlines."

When it comes to boarding time, we were all directing out but not indicating which door is closer to our seat. An agent needs to coach passengers outside or even when announcing boarding time -- indicate what seats should go towards the back versus the front door."

Both times I told them I was still drinking that and they disregarded it and threw it in the trash without hesitation. It's like they were robots on autopilot. Also, the male attendant in my row would always bump me pretty severely with his bum while grabbing things from the cart."

Cons: "I am a frequent flyer with QANTAS and a regular customer for many years. Why then do I get the worst seats on the aircraft (last row without reclining). These seats are often assigned to me and they are extremely uncomfortable. I booked a paid fare and did not claim points. My FF preferred seats are mid-plane, aisle. The screen had very poor contrast and it was like watching through cloth. To make it worse the entertainment system had very poor sound with long periods of frozen frames and staccato sound making it difficult to follow the plot. My wife's system (also FF) was the same. Not happy with the "special welcome" given to FF passengers!"

This made me uneasy from the very beginning that I would lose my London-Luxembourg flight. The crew in the boarding gate, only after much insisting, said they would make a note so that someone from Qantas would wait for me and help me get my London-Luxembourg flight no problem, but in the next stopovers (Melbourne, Dubai), there was no sign of this. Also, the delay in the end was 2h 20 min - and I lost my flight to Luxembourg."

We got there in the end but basically they have said that that if we want to get our seats before check in opens we need the pay. We have never had to do this before and I was very shocked and surprised. They eventually relented and resolved the issue however the damage was already done. For a company that is associated with the local autism society I was very disappointed that they don't recognise it for the challenge that it can be."

Instead of starting of handing out meals in other section (which was served last for initial meal). So being in the second the last row, I was served meal last both times. Also very slow in taking away empty trays. Had to beg for an aisle seat, which is total BS as it seems women are automatically assigned to middle seats, even though I am taller than most men. I am a Qantas frequent flyer which has stated my preference for an aisle, but only given to me if I ask, and sometimes not even that. Also on this flight, the bathrooms were a mess. Food was not very good. And in terms of boarding we had to wait to a passenger - why can one person hold up an entire flight? Felt that my experience was not worth the exorbitant price. This is not part of Qantas responsibility, as flight came in on time at Tullamarine airport in Melbourne, but it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get out of the airport!!!!"

The flight attendant even gave me some tips to ensure nobody sat there. This flight was on an A380 so the plane was large and it felt spacious."
Cons: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. Cons: "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. Cons: "Poor food quality. When long haul involves 4 flights in total MUCH more variety is required. When the snacks are predominantly cheese based, then that's repeated x4 Entertainment was poor. Not enough comedy, not enough documentaries and again by the 4 th flight, well just try to sleep as you've done all the good movies"

Cons: "Etihad has gone downhill over the past few years and please consider this carrier as your last option for travel. They are simply not worth the money you save, considering the pain they make you sit through. Extremely poor service from the staff and they offer little to no option to you if the flight gets cancelled. They were not willing to accommodate my request to reroute to a new destination (which actually is cheaper than my original destination) as i was about to miss my consular appointment due to the flight cancellation and this was the only way I could make it. They outright said it's not possible, didn't even check if the flight to the new destination has availability or not. The staff especially at Heathrow is a joke, don't even bother reasoning with them."

Pros: "Unfortunately our flight from London to Abu Dhabi was delayed and we missed our connection through to Melbourne. However because of the way they hsndled this the delay turned out to be a blessing! Etihad put us up for the 12hour daytime delay in the magnificent Marriot Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The communication and transfer were handled very well. It was a painless process and we got to enjoy a lovely rest before being transferred back to the airport and flying home. Pretty much a faultless experience and one that would see me fly Etihad again without hesitation."
Cons: "Whilst the food at the hotel was amazing, the same cannot be said for the plane! The food was very ordinary. The chicken pie was barely edible. In terms of seating, the seats are pretty standard long-haul fare. There is limited room but the issue is cushioning. They feel pretty hard and it was difficult to be comfortable."

I lost valuable time at the airport and almost missed the flight. Chaotic and unexpected baggage problems before boarding to Dallas: the board luggage, same as we had on the way over, was not accepted and had to be checked in. Problem since we had to move laptop, etc. before the actual boarding. Attendants not as professional as they should be. Also seats were changed -- I was not able to sit with my daughter who regularly gets travel sickness. Overall not a good experience. But the worst: changing airlines and not being informed!!!!"

Crew from the late arriving flight should have announced the connecting flight delay well before landing at DFW. The flight should have been held for 20 minutes, as it appeared that the majority of the passengers affected were able to clear customs and arrive at the gate in time."

What caused my discomfort during the flight was not due to British Airways or American Airlines, but rather was a problem at the Frankfurt terminal. I could not take a bottle of water thru the security check and there was no water fountain after the security check. I have a lot of food sensitivities and cannot drink bottled water. It was only at the end of the flight when I was desperate for water that I discovered I could get some tap water from a flight attendant."

Finally arrived home after 18 hours of travel. NOT HAPPY. We don't blame AA for weather cancellation but it was not an easy trip home."

Instead, I was put in mid-row seats 42D and 24E, on both flights. No notification or explanations from American Airlines or Kayak, and no refund...yet. Any comments?"
