Cons: "I booked through Budget Air and was initially online able to confirm seats and meals for my husband and I online with Qantas easily. Months out my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked onto a later flight that would have made us miss all of our transfers to our honeymoon on Fitzroy Island. Because I had booked through 'a 3rd party' Qantas refused to assist me. I managed to convince budget air to change our flights. We were moved to a jetstar flight from Melbourne to cairns. I had to confirm that this had occurred and go through multiple people online to reallocate seats and food options for my husband and myself again. Only my luggage allowance was carried across to jetstar and neither of our meal allowances were. When it came to online check-in with jetstar I could not check my husband in online only myself. I spoke to multiple people online who all confirmed they didn't know why or there was no problem and we should just present ID and check in in person. When we got to the airport Qantas had not transferred the e-ticket code across for my husband's booking and this is why we could not check him in online. The jetstar staff had to try to get his original booking code from Qantas. As it turned out I had to original booking code through budget Air in my hand and had to assert this information to staff. Flying back we were able to check in online fine with Qantas. Our boarding passes printed different sizes but did not present a problem when we dropped off our luggage. When we sent to check in the staff member couldn't get the smaller pass to read and my husband had to assert that he also had it on his phone. Despite all of my online conversations the aisle seat was allocated to me and not my husband who required it because of a medical condition and the flight was 30min delayed. We won't be traveling with Qantas or jetstar, or booking through budget Air again."

Had to wait on plane while airbridge was brought to the plane so everyone could disembark - “they weren’t expecting the flight!!” Whole flight still waiting for luggage after 55 minutes of standing at carousel and only after 55 minutes an announcement to say handlers are tending to a departure and we have to wait another 10 minutes - a whole hour for luggage - take carry on only next time!!!! 4 flights collecting luggage from the one carousel!!"

Tried multiple headsets but having the socket and jack on the inside of the armrest where it was so easily knocked by you leg was so incredibly stupid and made it hard to get comfortable or move position in the seat. First time I've ever seen this on a plane. Ok, so Qantas got us there safely but the inflight movies its what makes it bearable."

I came from the US to Australia and traveled domestically while there with all the luggage that I brought from the US. So I had to pay so much in fees when my trip was already so expensive! It makes me reconsider wanting to travel again anywhere anytime soon, so discouraging! Also they make me take stuff out of my big suitcase and transfer to my carry on, in front of everyone at the ticket counter I had to open my suitcase and transfer some stuff so the weight is under a certain weight. Still they charged me for extra luggage. I came international on Qantas from USA to Australia, so all the domestic locations I went to I was charged"

Cons: "The seats in business are totally weird. There is a metal foot rest that’s quite common in premium economy but the stretch seemed very short. I’m a short guy and I found my feet hanging over this bar which was uncomfortable. Also the pitch of the seat and short seat made both my partner and I slide down the seat. Perhaps the seats Jet star selects for its business could have calf rests that are located higher up so our legs are elevated more like in a chaise lounge or hammock for don’t slide down. The absolute worst thing about Jetstar flights are the passengers. The lowest common denominator Australians book budget airlines (especially Jetstar) and they rush the gate, over pack their 7kg of carryon, they are rough and loud and have little control of their children. They don’t know the difference beteeen inside and outside voices and speaking to someone face to face instead of shouting from a distance. Perhaps Jetstar should have a flying etiquette email and in seat card to remind people of how to behave. Cons: "flight was delayed which appears the norm with Jetstar.!!! Ridiculous walking distance to get to and from at Melbourne end!!!! Pity the elderly and infirm!!! You get nothing for your money EVERYTHING is EXTRA cost and expensive. From baggage to basic snacks, if you are silly enough to buy. Not even a radio outlet. Seats are hard and uncomfortable, but the "icing on the cake", is the removal of the pockets behind the seats to make the leg room look more, so you now have nowhere to put a water bottle or a drink down. JETSTAR/QANTAS should be very (proud) ashamed of themselves. By the way has anyone noticed the prospective destruction of the iconic Kangaroo symbol on QANTAS planes known all over the world as AUSTRALIAN, that the Irish CEO of Qantas is happily removing at enormous cost, over the next months to be replaced by an indescribable symbol, that is so similar to CHINA AIRLINES, it is not funny. Takeover in the wind?No wonder QANTAS is so expensive and its cheaper arm JETSTAR are cut to the bone. Staff can only do so much."

Cons: "There was no prepaid food choices. Prepaid food portions were smaller and more expensive than choices on board to buy. Prepaid hot dog was disgusting."
Cons: "We were unable to book our luggage on your website. When we got to Launceston, they not only charged us $100 but told us the limit was 15 kg each because it was the same day. We had tried to book our luggage when we bought the tickets, but were unable to. Then we had to buy a bag to carry the baggage we had to remove from our luggage."

Cons: "I thought my ears were deceiving me when they mentioned 3 AUD for lavatory use! Inhumane! And that's on top of having to pay for my check-in luggage. I felt completely dooped! Traveling through the outback, I had no scale, no wifi, etc. And after paying an exorbitant amount, we were STILL given hassles for our carry-on.. Apparently if you "wear" your luggage on your body, it's free of charge (but on aggregate, it still adds to weight & balance of the plane). And how this all contributes to fast handling is beyond me. Moronic rules! Of all the great times I had in Australia, JetStar was the only utter disappointment I had to endure! Never again!"

Cons: "There was no option to pay to upgrade carry on baggage like on Tiger air, so rather than being able to just take 12kg carry on as I had on the way north I was forced to check a bag with 2kgs more allowance than I needed. The flight was delayed by an hour, which I understand is often no fault of the air line always. But the addition of waiting for baggage made to trip cumbersome and long."
