True enough, the cabin crew did not help her to place her bag in the luggage compartment; the cabin crew did not serve water when requested, and on second attempt, the cabin crew told her to request at the ground. The cabin crews she has encountered clearly expressed their unwillingness to serve with their face and action. Is this the new direction of Singaore Air? The entertainment system requires installation of an app, hence is practically useless since we do not have the app preinstalled in our device."

Pros: "Can't say enough about how good the experience was. It felt like business class, except the seat doesn't transform into a flat bad. Service, meals, amenities, washrooms, etc. were amazing. Also, the flight times AKL-YVR and YVR-AKL are so civilized! You leave each city around dinner time, you dine, you watch a movie, sleep as much as you want, have breakfast, and then it's time to land! Way better than other options that leave at odd times."

Cons: "Customer service and ability to sort out technical issues were truly appalling. My touch screen monitor crashed and the controls that would enable me to alert crew members for any concerns also didn't work. Both issues happened twice. The second time, I informed them that if these technical issues continued to fail and couldn't be resolved, I needed to be placed in another seat, of which I specifically told them was not to be a seat far behind my current row seat. Instead, they went and offered me a seat that was 22 rows behind, especially after I had paid extra fees to sit in the seat I was given higher up the aisle. I also informed them that I wasn't feeling well and the closer I was to the exit when we landed, the better. They ignored these concerns. That is unacceptable considering that it was their system that was faulty in the first place that led to these problems. Their staff also failed to regularly walk the aisles to ensure customers were okay with the service. I've been on planes whereby the crew is constantly walking around to ensure everyone is being taken care of. For example, I had a great experience with Korean Air where I saw staff every 10-15mins checking on customers. Air New Zealand completely failed in this regard. When my system crashed the second time, because I couldn't call anyone in the crew using the controls on my touch screen, and the person sat next to me was asleep (didn't want to wake him up to use his device to call!), I waited 25-30mins before going up to the crew station to seek help. I had to wait an additional 10-15mins before I even saw someone at the crew station. There are some other issues I encountered but the above were the main ones. This is the first time I've actually had to criticize an airline for it's customer service. I've been travelling for over 25 years and never encountered what I did today. I certainly won't be flying with them again."

The experience made me think of experiences I have had in developing countries. I expected more thoughtful logistical arrangements from Qantas in Australia."

After the chaos of boarding and disembarking that marks domestic US flights, Virgin's quick and painless boarding and disembarking of a much larger aircraft was a breath of fresh air. Great job VA!"

Pros: "Virgin Australia’s staff is some of the most friendly and professional staff I’ve flown with. They go above and beyond to be hospitable. Also, this particular flight was an evening flight and they even had complimentary snacks- not just peanuts but actual crackers and cheese. There was a small delay in the beginning due to crew having to come from another late aircraft but they handled it very professionally and despite starting late, still got us to our destination ahead of schedule."

Kelta at ck in only cared about charging us and when I told her to put the bags in my name she said don't tell me how to do my job I know - and then bag is in another person's name and he had to leave asap in Sydney and it was an ordeal to get report done!! They charge for coffee on board and flight attendants were also rude!! Where is the customer service? Terrible !!"

A big overweight fellow with a piercing nasal voice. Also I was charged an extra $50 for a checked bag - seemed very unfair when if you google 'Jetstar cabin baggage allowance' it says 10 kg!"

Got to the airport for my flight from Auckland to Sydney to discover my checked bag for my flight had been canceled on my ticket and then was forced to pay $116 USD to check one bag for a 3 hour flight because of a mistake made by THEIR system! When I asked if there was any other options I was told to make my bag lighter for carry on by abandoning some of my belongings or that I needed to pay the fee. None of the staff was willing to even check if there was any other option or to look into why my baggage allowance mysteriously disappeared off my ticket. God help anyone who can't afford to pay this ridiculous "airport baggage fee", they'll be left stranded. Jetstar is obviously more interested in profits than their customers. I will NEVER fly with this "airline" again!"
Pros: "I liked that Jetstar communicated with me and kept me informed about what was happening with my flights. I liked that the Jetstar staff in Sydney helped me to get a room for the night, the hotel people were helpful and friendly, the shuttle bus drivers were helpful and friendly. I liked that Qantas helped me transfer my Jetstar cancelled flight to QF148, so I was able to fly Auck to SYD. I did like that Jetstar provided free in-flight entertainment to all passengers after the flight form SYD - DPS was dallied 3 hours on departure."
Cons: "I didn't like that my Jetstar flight was cancelled and I missed my connecting flight to Denpasar. I didn't like that I lost a whole day of my holiday due to the flight cancellation, I missed my pick up transfer from DPS airport to my hotel in Ubud late at night, and I was not refunded my night's booked accomodation at my Ubud hotel. I didn't like that I had to go through immigration, pick up my baggage in SYD before I could get to the Jetstar counter to connect with my flight to DPS. because of this delay I missed my connecting flight. I did not like that My one day delayed connecting flight from SYD to DPS was delayed a further 3 hours departing from Sydney."
Pros: "There was a security incident at airport. Jet star counter staff was aware of this, but still close the counter and left about a dozen passengers stranded in Bali overnight. The staff was rude and terrible, at first saying it was our fault for not checking in online (not true)"

They also carefully checked carry on weight at the ticket counter but then never tagged the bags and we had to have them reweighed at the gate. They also were ridiculously strict on carryon weight per bag. Don't get their policy when my husband and I weigh a total of 300 pds together and they can't be flexible on 1kg of carry-on weight. They also said they took American express cards (which does not charge us an exchange fee) and their machines wouldn't accept it, so I was charged an extra 3% via my credit card. Staff were surly and not helpful. Will never use Jetstar again"

Cons: "Jetstar tried to literally charge me over $1,500 with a straight face. Every single other airline in the world charges a flat fee for this. Jetstar has a rate of $25 per kilo. At 39 kilos each way, that is $1,950 round trip. Once in the air a majority of the flight crew went to sleep. I was sitting in the back and wondered why there were so many empty seats. No not seats, but entire rows. The crew proceeded to all take an entire row and just passed out for the last 5 hours or so of the flight."

In addition, customer service was very disorganized and inefficient at the airport. We received conflicting instructions from many different people, they did not want to help us. Fortunately, someone finally decided to get it done and helped us buy the luggage tickets. We paid $533 in luggage for two people for an hour flight!!"

Cons: "Check-in staff at airport seemed overwhelmed, and unable to prioritize. We had to stand in multiple lines - first the kiosk line to check-in, where we got our boarding passes. BUT since we had not pre-checked luggage online, we had to stand in the VERY long regular check-in line to check-in (again) with baggage. Although I asked at the beginning if we could move ahead in line as our flight was boarding within the hour, they refused. So we got about halfway through the line before they called people on our flight to come to the front. Once we got our bags checked we had to go to the customer service line to actually pay the check-bag fee. another long line. Again I asked if we could go to the front because now our flight was boarding in 30 minutes. After initially suggesting that we would be fine, the attendant did help us get to the front of the line. But combining one line for people who have missed flights/need refunds,etc., with a line for people who just need to pay a fee and move on (so they don't also miss their flight) is just poor management. We did make our flight, and it all worked out fine, but overall really unimpressed by the experience."

Pros: "This flight was fine. But no one ever ask me to review our flight from Sydney to Christchurch. That was a nightmare. We had a six hour delay, and zero information from anyone at the Jetstar desk. We stood in line for a half hour waiting to check in when we got there though They said Ha didn't anyone tell you that flight is delayed for six hours? And sent us away. We arrived in Christchurch at 3:30 AM where we had to check out of our hotel by 10 AM two hours sleep lots of fun. Great way to start a vacation in New Zealand."

I was forced to empty half of my bag into a giant plastic one that I had to awkwardly haul through the airport - and still had to pay $160 to check my almost empty suitcase. Completely ridiculous..."
