I was a little worried about the 14 hour trip since I am 7 months pregnant and wanted to be sure I had enough room to move about as needed. Both the desk and plane staff arranged for my husband and myself to have 4 seats to ourselves (luckily, it wasn't a full flight!) which allowed me to rest and put my feet up (literally!) through our long journey. They also checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable throughout. Thanks so much Qantas, we will definitely be traveling with you again with our little one in tow!"

Then there was only two people at the counter to book passengers on another flight and one of the booking agent was tied up trying to find another flight for two children that had missed their connecting flight. Later more agents appeared. Nevertheless, the supervisor was asking one of her subordinates on how to input certain data into the system in order to change my flight. I feel that the agent should have been able to input the data without having to rely on other employees. American airlines was not very helpful in trying to expedite the booking process. I tried to use my express pass and was told by an American airline agent that I had enough time to stand in line. When it was my turn to book my flight to Charlotte, I was informed that I would not have enough time to make the flight. Then I was sent to the customer service line and had to wait another 30 to 40 minutes to resolve this matter. In the process I miss my appointment with my attorneys and Charlotte and this special meeting had to be rescheduled for next Saturday. Thereby, requiring me to drive from South Carolina to North Carolina which is about five hours or more round trip. I was so tired that once I arrive to Charlotte I had to stay in a motel for the evening because I was to exhausted to drive home. I had saved for this trip over a three-year periodI saved and this Esperance was the worst customer service that I have ever received. In closing, thank you for giving me an opportunity to express my oppinion regarding the customer service that I would provide it on this trip."

And during the return there was no vegetarian choices for the breakfast. The air host didn't even bother to ask my daughter about the food. Very sad."

Cons: "I was unable to check in online and arrived in Melbourne 3 hours in advance of my flight. I had to stand in line for over an hour just to check in for my flight. It was a complete mess at the check in desk. There were several issues with other passengers that caused two gate agents to be tied up for upper 30 minutes. Rather than taking them to customer service they continued to block the line. Then with Economy gates being down to only 3 (with my guess at over 100 people waiting to check in) one of the agents used the economy line to service business class pasangers, when there were already 3 agents serving the business class patrons. While I understand business entitles you to special priorities but to have your economy passengers (who are all paying over $1500 a ticket) to have to wait so long for business passages to all walk straight get up can waiting 5 minutes felt very wrong and made many people upset. My family was waiting to see me off and subsequently got charges $30 in parking due to the delay in check in. Also communication at the gate was very poor. Flight was delayed several times due to wind and no announcement came from ground staff, only way I knew was due to an email. I could tell a lot of guests were very distressed. Very disappointed from a company that prides itself on service."

Cons: "First time on a domestic airline in Australia, I read the information which appeared to say you could bring a 7 kg carry on item and a computer bag and a women could bring a small purse. When we checked in my wife's purse and my laptop in bag were all added as additional weight. So we were forced to pay additional excess weight charges of $50."

Cons: "The flight was just under an hour and a half. It felt like the intercom was running constantly. They were selling raffle tickets for a car, they were selling snacks, they were asking for donations to a charity. The constant intercom communications were very frustrating. There is also a hidden $50 fee per checked bag with a limit of 15Kg. After that there is a charge for every kilogram over 15. We ended up paying $220 in baggage fees. It would have been cheaper to buy two more seats and buckle our luggage in."

They should have BOLD clear WARNING about luggage requirement @ the booking site, so that 'BUYER BEWARE". Probably end up with NO business!! And the checker acts like a 'MOTHER SUPERIOR', with no MERCY. I end up throwing away all my muchies and lost some of my luggage, being force to thumble everything right @ the boarding gate! Being a seasoned traveller, $50.00 per bag for check in bag, amount to 2/3 of your ticket price, is the highest I have ever seen in airlines!!! Truely, they attract you with a lower price than Virgin Atlantic, but they cut your throat with the carry-on and coffee and water! And they cancelled my return flight! And I am forced to take a flight time, that does not suit my itinerary! NEVER fly jetstar again!!! I feel I am taken!"
Cons: "No options for check in baggage when I purchased the ticket online, so baggage cost me $260 at check-in. Agents at the desk were extremely indifferent and borderline rude, overall extremely unhelpful. Airplane interior was dingy, seat cushions were worn down and flat, extremely limited leg space (I cannot stress enough how inadequate the leg space was), no entertainment. No complimentary drinks, not even water."

Pros: "My son and I had previously taken Jetstar from Bangkok to Melbourne (out of desperation; our Thai visa was expiring), so we already knew about a) no complementary food or beverages (you get one glass of water if you ask, then are pointed to the back of the plane and the tap) b) having to pay to watch movies c) no email confirmation of flight d) uncomfortable seats What we did not know but learned on our next JetStar flight (Melbourne to Honolulu), a week later: -again, no email confirmation, and as we were out of continent, we had no personal cellphone usage so no text to tell us the flight would be leaving 3.5 hours late (other customers were getting conflicting texts) .. -we were charged a criminal $160\each extra for our backpacks at checkout!! They said it was weight, and that our packs were too large for carry-on. (Frankly, upon reading all the other comments here, I am beginning to think this is a scam, and they need to be called on it.) As we paid an extra $320, plus the airline was late, I asked if we might at least get a $10 meal voucher. Answer? No. The airline has to be 4 hours late. -asked for a pillow and blanket for the approximately 10-hr night flight. Answer: "No pillows, and you had to book a blanket in advance." I am outraged."
Cons: "We were stuck on the tarmac for 3 hours and there was no attempt to make us passengers comfortable during that time. Poor service."

Cons: "Flight was second leg of an international flight but that wasn't indicated anywhere nor were there any alerts. So, nearly missed the flight even while arriving in plenty of time for boarding, we had to pay another $8 for the shuttle to the international terminal even though it was a domestic flight. Staff was not understanding of why that might be confusing, and kept referencing the amount of numbers in the flight number that should have magically indicated to us that it was an international flight."

Cons: "I put it online and it was not clear that there would be extra charges for all checked baggage. I had to go back and add to check bags at a cost of $25 each. When we got to the airport the gate was not listed and we had to wait in the general area away from the boarding gates. They did not post the gate until they actually started boarding the airplane so when we got there we were pretty much at the end of the line. And They did not board by rows or any other method it is come one come all chaos. Then while we were in the baggage police came by to check the weight of our carry-ons. They did not check everyone only some. We were among the unfortunates that got checked. We were slightly over there a maximum and had to check two carry-ons. Another $25 each. everything about the airline seems cheap. The seats do not even have a little pocket in front of you to put things like glasses or books. They must've saved $1.50 on each seat. After all the extra charges it would've been cheaper to book with her quality airline. Unfortunately we have a return flight booked and can't get our money back so I'll have to fly one more time. But never again."

Pros: "Upon check in, I was unable to proceed with checking my luggage because apparently when I booked the flight through Kayak, it did not prompt me to indicate how many bags I would be checking on this flight. On the day of the flight, it costs $160 AUD to check a bag that is 15kg! $160AUD!!! That is an insanely high amount of money to check 1 piece of luggage. For every 1kg over 15, it is an additional $25AUD. Can you believe that? The airline refused to waive the fee and blamed the 3rd party booking company (Kayak) for the oversight. They did, however, let me sit in a exit row, free of charge. This is so backwards. I would have much rather just sat in a normal seat and checked my bag for free."
Cons: "Once I boarded the flight, I was seated in an exit row, and something was leaking from the area above me. It looked like the color of coca-cola and/or urine. I called the flight attendant over to my seat once the seat-belt sign was off, and he immediately assumed that my bag in the overhead was causing the leak rather than running to bring something to clean it up and stop the leak. He kept checking the overhead luggage area when the leak was clearly coming from the air conditioning unit. The leak splattered onto my arm, book and passport. It was disgusting. I had to ask the flight attendant if I could move seats. I was not given any type of voucher for a free drink, free seat upgrade or free luggage check. Yuck. Thankfully the leak eventually stopped."
Cons: "The flight was scheduled to leave just after 6 in the morning. However the time kept on being pushed back because they couldn't fix the problem. I understand things happen but the plane was sitting there overnight. They could have checked it earlier to determine if it was ready to go which might have allowed them to fix the problem instead of canceling the flight."

That flight was delayed 6 hours due to another engineering problem and we had to get off the plane with our carry on luggage. No compensation offered for first cancelled flight. I will never travel Jetstar again"
