Find cheap flights from Melbourne to Sydney

Cons: The VA economy seats have USB charging but no electrical outlets. You need to be in 'premium economy' to have acces to an outlet. Also on the way back we were on a Delta plane which was older and very uncomfortable in economy

Pros: Great flight, easy-no delays.

Pros: Melbourne has got self check in and bag drop working well....Sydney, take note and passengers be ready for it. That said the ground crew are there to help, but read the signs and don't get cranky if you hey sent back to do what you're meant to. On board, the cheese and cracker snack pack I got was great, nice to see complimentary snacks and drinks being maintained. Onboatd wifi via the app worked well and was actually able to use inflight entertainment on hand held device online the Sydney to Melbourne leg

Cons: It was a full flight but there was too much cabin luggage. Ppl had oversized bags and too much of it. Get stricter with the measurements would be my suggestion.

Pros: Reached Sydney, eventually

Cons: Boarding on tarmac in the rain, no cover over walkway. Smallest and tightest seating in the airline business.

Pros: Everything went well and was as advertised. This is a low cost carrier so their business model relies on extra charges for everything. Prepaid my luggage for $19 each way and decided not to order any food (much cheaper at the airport anyway). People just have to be aware that low cost carriers like Jetstar can offer such affordable fares by excluding many things. Qantas would have been approximately 2x as expensive per flight and would have included more things, but the appeal of low cost is to be able to choose what you need.

Pros: Flight was good.

Cons: Check is cthe confusing. First you cannot check in online. It was a domestic flight but check in was in international terminal. The lines were confusing and we had to change lines because of the confusion. There was no one to answer your querstions. I had to interrupt an check in person who was helping someone else so not to be late for flight.

Pros: Free upgrade to exit seats because I’m tall! Didn’t even ask!

Cons: Nothing, was everything we could have expected of a short hall flight!

Pros: Easy check in, helpful staff at the check in / bag drop.

Cons: A number of flights were delayed and cancelled, at the gate (16) it was difficult to work out which flight was boarding and which wasn't. The line to board the plane was unclear, a number of people skipped the line and joined Jump the Queue boarding and shouldn't have. I'd recommend staff at the gate walk up and down the line to advise people. I had to go ask what line was which.

Cons: Delay

Cons: Flight was cancelled and they did not provide hotel for overnight accommodation. Staff was rude during annoucements

Pros: Inexpensive flight with many departure times

Cons: The flight was just under an hour and a half. It felt like the intercom was running constantly. They were selling raffle tickets for a car, they were selling snacks, they were asking for donations to a charity. The constant intercom communications were very frustrating. There is also a hidden $50 fee per checked bag with a limit of 15Kg. After that there is a charge for every kilogram over 15. We ended up paying $220 in baggage fees. It would have been cheaper to buy two more seats and buckle our luggage in.

Cons: At the airport I had the very bad surprise to learn that we were only allowed one carry-on luggage. Traveling in Australia from the US, we of course each had a suitcase to check-in in addition to our carry-on. I asked for an arrangement at the airport, but they could not provide any help like booking luggage on-line for a cheaper price and moving us to a different flight. In addition, customer service was very disorganized and inefficient at the airport. We received conflicting instructions from many different people, they did not want to help us. Fortunately, someone finally decided to get it done and helped us buy the luggage tickets. We paid $533 in luggage for two people for an hour flight!!

Cons: They don’t tell you that you have to pay for baggage and that if you pay at the airport it is 3x the amount! I was astonished and I felt lied to!

Cons: I was ignored in my requests to change my flight. All staff were not understanding and still have not responded to my calls and emails, even after the flight departed with an empty seat, for which I fully paid. Rude, contemptuous, money-grabbing. Malicious.

Pros: Speed of service and willingness to help

Pros: Economy X is fantastic, and really enjoy the boarding experience and the crew. left on time and arrived early. Excellent trip in that regard.

Cons: Almost every time I travel on virgin, which is a lot. They serve a minim muesli bar. Come on Virgin what about changing that a bit. Qantas offer some really good options for not much more of a ticket price. This part of the Virgin Experience needs to change.

Pros: Crew was friendly and helpful

Cons: Food wasn’t the best... no water bottles provided... chronically thirsty on that flight.
