There should have been a breakfast served prior to landing, but no food service after 1 a.m. though flight arrived at 7:40 a.m. Timing of meals was not convenient for me at all. They wake you up at 1 a.m. for your main dinner. I would have preferred to sleep until 5 a.m. then have a good breakfast. I asked hostess what the deal was (because their food service is usually great) and she explained that in this new plane (Boeing 787) they removed a lot of the working areas for the crew. They have less space to work in order to be able to prepare food and drinks compared to Qantas's other planes (Airbus A380). This is also a brand new plane for this crew (literally the first flight for some for some of them), and they didn't know where some of the things on the plane were. I imagine after they've used the plane for a while and learn where everything is, they'll get better. I'll find out on the return flight back to Melbourne."

Pros: "Service was excellent, and the 777 flight was very comfortable. The flight attendants were remarkable. The ticket agents had difficulty rebooking the London to Milan leg of my flight when that flight was cancelled while I was on the way to the airport, but they were somehow able to get me onto an earlier flight than was originally offered. What I gathered was that the computer was not very cooperative. The ticket agents were incredibly helpful during this process."
Cons: "I lost my original exit row seat somehow and had to inquire into it. I think what happened was that while the ticket agents were able to rebook my cancelled London to Milan flight, my seat reservation on the Seattle to London leg got lost somehow. I suppose another passenger may have grabbed my seat during that rebooking process. I noticed the changed seat assignment only after I left the ticketing counter. I was able to get a different exit row seat (but with less leg room) assigned to me by inquiring with the agent at the gate."

Cons: "Not even a cup of coffee anymore - low cost carrier behaviour against full price fare. KLM is much better"

Pros: "Service and Care with sense of humor! I have sat in both business and economy, and while I prefer the room in business, I still feel the service is just as wonderful in economy. I got all I asked for including bubbly in economy! I like to stay awake on the way back to the US and asked for two coffee's and a bubbly, a ginger and an OJ just before dinner & refills on cafe. Of course I thought I was pushing it to ask for it all at once, but they laughed, proceeded to fill my wishes and with a good sense of humor asked If I wanted anything else! I actually got everything I asked for! Super!"
Cons: "I pre bought my seat and chose an aisle. The plane was changed and I ended up in a window seat within the same row I had chosen on the other plane lay out. I prefer the aisle as I like to get up a lot and hate to annoy others who may prefer not to get up every time I do. I was lucky that the flight had plenty of empty seats and was able to move to an aisle after asking. What happens on a full flight? I would have been really upset. What is the point of pre-booking one' s seat? If the plane is changed, BA ought to take care to make sure a pre-booked seat gets a window/aisle near the row they chose. I suspect that is more important than the row on a long flight."

Cons: "Food needs work and movie/tv selection could be expanded. Desired dinner selection was unavailable and second dinner option was extremely salty."

Pros: "An air steward called Frank was super cheerful and helpful. Really set a good note to the flight."
Cons: "Food was not great. Seat in Traveller Plus is hard and impossible to sleep on. Entertainment system had the same options as in August and the incomplete box sets."

Cons: "The seats were cramped, and the toilets were ridiculously small. Why do people taller than average have to spend ten hours plus with their legs folded up like pretzels?"

Cons: "Uncomfortable seats, NO free beverage or snack. Flight attendants were ridiculously busy with running credit cards for passengers who bought food/etc that others could not even get to the toilets. NO entertainment at all. Felt like United but at least no one yelled at me ir hit me."

Cons: "It was shocking that there wasn't even an offer of a glass of water during the 2-1/2 flight -- unless we paid for it. The crew went through once with their cart of purchase offerings and that was it. Shameful."

Cons: "1) I was booked on the next available flight. This flight was delayed too. I was really exhausted, and tired of waiting. 2) The refreshment was only for purchase. I understand,that non of the domestic flights provide food but 1 nonalcoholic drink or water, and small pretzels or nuts are always offered free of charge, and additional refreshment is charged. Sad, this was not an option."

Pros: "Efficient at boarding gate all electronically monitored, photo recognition boarding a little confusing but help was on hand."
Cons: "The fact that we had to pay for something as basic as tea and coffee!!! Very disappointed in BA, their standards have dropped, not sure if I will continue to fly with them in the future."

They offered to move me and my son, but we had settled in and so decided to decline the offer."

Pros: "Nothing good to say its an old plane, rubbish entertainment system no help by the British airway's staff not even in checkin when my girlfriend struggled to weigh bag the staff just looked and offered no assistance. Hardly came round to offer drinks meal was foul and the Sandwick was inedible. I will never fly British airways again I wrongly thought that they were a premier service how wrong was I"
