Also had 4 hour layover but could not do the manual transfer to next leg until 3 hours before flight, putting a dent into our layover plans. I will avoid using this airline due to hassles in the future."

This is the second time in 2 months this flight has been delayed."

They charged me $50 extra. On explaining I have 20kgs included and am happy to go check it in myself. They didn't let me. Not sure why when the flight was delayed by more than 30 min. staff not helpful or considerate. No solution offered to make me happy or to acknowledge that I had already paid for 20kg. I could be talking to a machine and it would've been the same outcome."

The desk agent in queenstown told us that we could catch the Sydney flight and due to the mistakes that Jetstar made, we would be able to spend our layover in the Qantas lounge. Once we landed, we tried to go to the Qantas lounge and were denied entry and told that we needed Jetstar to call Qantas and give us access. We then went back to Jetstar and they told us there was nothing we could do. We were stuck in the airport, unable to check our luggage as Jetstar has a 2 hour check in policy, and nowhere to go. Will NEVER fly with them again."

Cons: "I arrived for my flight from Narita to Melbourne only to find that I had to walk over 1,000 meters to get to the check-in and terminal even though I was told to go to the Terminal 2 / 3 stop in the Narita train. Once I got to the check-in counter, the line was very long and everyone seemed overworked. By the time I go tot he counter it was getting late. I tried to check in but apparently my eVisa had expired. I have been traveling to Australia countless number of times and normally they process a new visa directly at the airport. I was told by the staff that "this was not possible" and waved me away. They said there was no way to check-in. I stood by the side of the counter and quickly found my own on line service to process a visa. I was able to get my Visa in 10 minutes, and applied for it on my iPhone! My Visa came through, but only just after the cut off time for the flight check in. Despite that fact that flight had not departed, and would not for another 30 minutes or so, they simply closed up the booking counter and left me standing there... They wouldn't even give me any information on what to do or whether my flight would be canceled or credited back. This rates as one of my worst travel experiences. I went back to my hotel in Tokyo, and then decided to fly the next morning on Singapore air. I did not book on Kayak the second time. I don't think I would ever fly JetStar again."
Pros: "I was surprised how comfortable the seats were and how much legroom there was for a low cost airline to fly internationally such a long distance (Tokyo to Sydney). The crew were friendly and we did receive water and tea for free, which was a surprise. The entertainment selection was pretty good and the screens were the nicest HD screens I've seen on an international flight."

Each baggage is accord to the carry on boarding rule. In fact, we only want to check in one baggage. But, she told me $50 per baggage. She cheat us. Buy 20 Kg baggage only need $24 in Jetstar internet."
