I said that my child had just vomited but there was no offer to help me clear it up they just continued serving food to other passengers. I had to search for someone to help me to clear up and then I felt as though I was an inconvenience. I then had to look for someone to bring food for myself and other child. My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags."

That meant, that I had to hold anything I wanted during take-off, and landing, and the entertainment system had to be stowed during those times as well, so I couldn't even listen to music as the only controls were the touchscreen."
Cons: "I planned a wonderful vacation for my birthday only to face a horrible experience. Not only was the flight uncomfortable, but my television did not work. There was a huge box underneath the seat in front of me which prevented me from stretching my legs outward. The television was on but the screen itself wasn't operating. I reached for the remote located in the armrest only to find the entire piece missing. Only the base was there. I asked the flight attendents three times if I can move to an empty seat and they said "give me a moment". The moment never came. I really expected more from this airline."

Cons: "Nearly empty flight and twice got assigned seat in very front with screaming child. Going had to move to nonreclining seat after 1st 12 hour flight. Assigned last seat in plane going even though short layover - had to run after 12 hours on plane since got last bus to terminal and waited, waited, waited for final passengers, not fun. Way back flight changed and no accomodation made (a lounge, room, anything) for 7.5 hour layover "you'll just have to hang in there" in middle of night even though others on my tour with same issue in dubai got a room included. With added stress of going through qatar which i booked because of longer layover so wouldnt miss connection just before political decree announced, i will do anything to avoid qatar again despite the very friendly crew. And having to wrap my camera equipment to check it, get extra insurance, such a pain."

We got to the gate too early (by maybe 10 mins before boarding time) so we were told to sit outside of the designated seating area and that they would make an announcement when we should go back up there. They were very nice about everything, but just thought that was really strange."

Cons: "The security check at the gate requires one to leave the comfort of the lounge early incase of queues and then wait in an over crowded lounge with the other passengers (so the fact you are business/first or have one world status does little to ease the burden of boarding. The lounge also did not offer red eye passengers a meal and the on board meal service is slow (so if you are hungry it eats into precious sleeping time). The breakfast wakeup was also disappointing. My meal of choice was not available and the whole process was rushed like a fast food restaurant. Overall I am disappointed by the club world offering on this route and would not pay for it again unless intended to get on and just sleep for the entire journey."

Pros: "I fly a lot between North America and Southeast Asia (usually on SQ). My BA flight was a perfectly acceptable long distance flight for a song, so that its best aspect was the low price. It was much better than any US airline's flight to SE Asia that I have been on from time to time, and was a solid B to B+ against the standard SQ A to A-. I flew from Singapore to Charlotte with no issues, then returned two days after their IT disaster in a half empty airplane. I expect they continue to discount while they try to rebuild their brand, so I suspect this kind of flight stays quite a good value for the next year or so."

It was a huge issue but eventually it was sorted. Not knowing if you will be able to get back to your county or not is a very stressful experience. Wish i could get my $550.00 back. The self check-in machines for AA were a little "buggy" and difficult to navigate but helpful staff was readily available as were the short lines. I am 6'2" and was impressed that I had adequate leg room in my seat."

The gate attendants left at the time we were supposed to Board, then the departure time changed on the board and no announcement was made. Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

There are so many expats in Buenos Aires and they all buy tickets in Argentina to go to Uruguay within 3 months. Upon showing the immigration of Argentina my USA passport at the entry, they have NEVER asked me for any kind of proof that I would be leaving within 3 months. At first I started to purchase a ticket to Uruguay by boat and the attendant even asked me the website of the boat because she told me that these problems come up all the time for expats going to Argentina for longer than 3 months. You are ONLY AN AIRLINE. YOU ARE NOT THE IMMIGRATION OF ARGENTINA. Having this said, I never plan to fly Avianca again."

Had we not been to the airport 2.5 hours early, we would have had a great shot at missing our flight because of this.As it was, we only had 15 extra minutes from when we got to the gate from when we boarded. Even this email you just sent to me said "rate your Qantas Flight", not rate your American Airlines flight coshared by Qantas. The other big gripe is that we sat on the tarmac for way longer than I would have expected. LAX Sucks."

Cons: "Typical of American, passengers are not allowed to stand for long periods. I was initially very disappointed that it was not a Qantas flt. And had it been full, it would have been very unpleasant. I fly with American as little as possible. The 777-300 does not have the area in the back where a few can stand, but in this case, with all the room, it wasn't necessary. I was standing for just a minute, and was told to move on. That's American for you."
Cons: "The flight was delayed and then the pilot decided to (after the doors were closed and ready to go) unload and reload cargo and board more people. So based on their decision, we were even further delayed and subsequently missed our connection in sydney. United has offered no compensation either for our change fee in sydney nor for the stress they added to our vacation - on a Christmas flight nonetheless!"

Cons: "The food is mediocre - everything has meat in it and they use tons of plastic. Also, the plane was late getting to the gate. This wouldn’t have been an issue had the pilot not decided to off board and then re onboard cargo (the commercial stuff they get paid to carry). This took about 20 minutes and then after the winds changed, he decided he could load more passengers. So despite having the doors locked and getting ready to leave the gate, they opened the doors up again and boarded more people for the next 40 minutes. So they chose to make a delayed flight even more delayed (on Christmas Eve). So we inevitably missed our connection in sydney and had to pay a change fee since it’s a different airline. Thanks for the Christmas gift United - you always know how to disappoint your passengers."

Personnel at the airport were also wonderful aside from the fact that I couldn't seem to get on the official standby list until my mother-in-law got me on by talking to personnel at a completely different airport."

Lines and phone hold times for rebooking took an hour each time I stood in line, which was four times.Thankfully, I was on standby for this same-day flight and was able to arrive at my destination 12 hours later than planned instead of 36 hours later than planned."

I hadn’t seen them for 3 years. Don't know when I'll be able to see them next. Not happy..."
