Everything worked out for us in the end, but that seemed to only be because we arrived at the rental place two hours before our reservation. When we arrived, the agent told us that they didn't have our vehicle available and she tried to get the five of us + all our luggage to squeeze into a smaller vehicle. When we declined that, she got on the phone with another branch and sent a driver to pick it up. All of that took about 2 hours. We ended up getting our rental on time, but I got the impression that if I had arrived on time, the vehicle would not have been there. They only sent someone to get it when we protested against what they were trying to offer us. The car itself and the drop-off at a different location were very good.

Major runaround, they would not accept that my credit card carried car insurance (as if World Mastercard is obscure) then the demand for an exorbitant deposit, basically the value of the car. I had no choice but to walk away. There were three customers in the shop while I was there, all three customers had an infuriating experience and walked away. If I had to guess, they simply didn’t have enough cars and were looking to see how much they could scam their customers for the cars they did have.

Firefly rental car in San Jose California is something that does not exist!! There was no pick up or drop off or any type of car rental. no such thing as firefly Rent-A-Car.
