It was absolutely horrible picking up the car.You're advertisement, said free shuttle.There was no free shuttle , they had two individual cars to pick you up. The individual that appeared to represent your company said a free shuttle Van would be there in 5 minutes 45 minutes later or still standing. This starts to feel like a scam. I ended up paying for a taxi $20 to get to your rent car.Location definitely will not be using you again

I have been scammed. I have purchased insurance but had to buy extra insurance directly with Mex car hire which was more than car hire. They wouldn’t give me the car without paying extra insurance

The car had damage, hood didn’t fully close , back of car had collision damage and back hatch didn’t always open . Tires were very worn as well and was a concern . I was also forced to buy additional insurance. I showed them the insurance I purchased through kayak and stated I had my own insurance policy as well, but the employee stated that I had to get an additional policy as neither was sufficient. . I also asked for another car and they wouldn’t give me another one .stating they had nothing to give me .

The pickup process was stressful, argumentative, & time-consuming. The man who was working repeatedly tried to sell me Additional Insurance Coverage. Not just asking me if I needed Additional Coverage - but telling me I had to purchase it. I showed him my Current Comprehensive Coverage & I showed him - and explained the CC I'd be using for a Damage Deposit was a "travel specific" CC - which also includes Additional Insurance Coverage. He wouldn't budge, basically telling me if I didn't purchase Additional Coverage, he wasn't going to give me the car. We went round & round to no avail. Finally, when I started to physically moved to the side & started to look into the "other" Rental Car Company booth beside MexRentACar's - as if to say, "fine, I'll just rent from them instead of arguing with you" - finally we completed the paperwork & were able to move forward - about 30 minutes after I first walked up to his counter. This needlessly started my trip off on a stressful note. The car itself was in great shape, was super clean, & worked well for me. Upon returning the vehicle, the lady was extremely been helpful, nice, & efficient. I was also able to get a ride to the ferry terminal from another employee - which was both unexpected & awesome!!! I
