There was a surprise required insurance that more than tripled the price that I originally paid through the website.

Turned out that I rented a car that was too small for all the luggage that we had and they gave me a free upgrade although it wasn’t clean but that was OK. Drop off they had someone help us with our luggage and we were able to get to the airport with their shuttle right away. He was very helpful and friendly.

Shuttle from the airport to Europcar and back was ok. The car was dirty and full of sand inside, the tires were pretty flat from the start. You have to take your own video walking around the car detecting issues before you leave.

Europcar now requires an international driver’s license for US license holders - this was not advertised anywhere and almost caused a total disaster for our trip. Kayak needs to do a better job making this requirement clear if it applies.

I was not provided a detail of charges at the drop off. They said the detail will be available later. Then my credit card got hit with a $700 charge instead of $330. No email detailing the charges ever arrived. I am calling fraud department and disallowing the charge.

the service to pick the car and to drop off the car is the best among all the rental cars: smile, good morning and good afternoon, nicely dressed, good car, good shuttle at Heathrow, medium price.

Fast process in picking up my car. The counter staff very experienced in explaining the policy and clearly direct me to pick up the car. The returning car process also good.

One month later and I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned. The car was in terrible condition. Would not recommend this company if they were the last rental company in the world.
