Cons: "I booked this flight for my mum who has dementia. I was told o pick her up at the excess baggage area, where her walker would be and that she would be brought by staff there via wheelchair. After 45mins and no mum, I asked staff where she was. They said they were waiting for me at the gate as they didn't have enough staff to bring her, and I couldn't take her walker through security, so I had to go there and pick her up (passing 4 staff members with golf carts just sitting and waiting). luckily she wasn't distressed, but when I got to her, the man at the desk was then told over the radio tthat he could bring her down... poorly organised. Not the end of the world, because she was okay, but it could have been really upsetting for her otherwise."

First time flying with them and am pretty disappointed. However, am happy they didn't crash us. I guess that's what really matters. Excellent cabin crew, they all went the extra mile during the entire debacle."

Equally loud mothers baby-talked continuously to their offending offspring with no effect. Cabin staff made no attempt to control the noise levels. I recognize some of these small children could have been suffering ear pain from the cabin pressure changes but trained cabin staff could have offered remedies for this. It does not explain the continuous screaming at cruising altitude. I recognize that JETSTAR is an intentionally cheap and nasty airline. I reluctantly took this flight because there was no quality service (like QANTAS) at the time I required. I accept the lack of amenities offered by REAL airlines like complimentary food, drink, entertainment and healthy legroom are the cost of cheap travel but I would have happily paid a higher price for QANTAS had there been a flight. I will not fly JETSTAR again and if no alternative exists with QANTAS, I will choose another airline in spite of my long allegiance to QANTAS CC: QANTAS"

Cons: "We had to pay $400 dollars to check 4 bags (2 bags per person). The bags were not overweight or oversized. We were told we had purchased a ticket with no baggage. I am a frequent traveler ( 10 flights in 6 weeks) and have never experienced such charges for baggage. It was not clear at the time of purchase that there were different levels of tickets. The agents at the counter was only interested in maximizing the fees we were charged and not helping us with other options. The plane was late and there was very limited seating in the waiting area, so most people stood for the extra 40 minutes of the delay."

We did not receive a gate number on the departure boards until 5 mins AFTER we were suppose to start boarding according to our boarding pass, so we had to rush through the airport to make the plane on time. Once we reached the gate with only minutes to spare Jetstar brought out a scale and decided it was time to weight the carry on luggage, anything over 7kg then had to be checked, no opportunity to move items into the bags already check that we had already paid for. Any refreshments on the plane had to be purchased seperately, cheap as!! This experience just felt like they were trying to take your money at every turn. Treat the service like a taxi, point A to point B only and KNOW THIER RULES before you show up otherwise the will screw you over."

Cons: "Many, many things, starting with their ridiculous practice of weighing luggage and charging accordingly. I'm used to airlines charging for checked luggage, that's no problem, but to only allow 7 kg of weight on checked bags is basically forcing everyone to just check their luggage. I figured my bag, which could easily fit in their tight bins, would be fine for carry on. I was wrong. Then, because i didn't realize their ludicrous system, I had to pay more than double because 'the flight has already opened for checking in'. This airline is laughable. They might start out the 'least expensive' option but by the time you're done with them nickel and diming you it's better to just book the more expensive flight with a legitimate airline. Oh, and did I mention that I paid for seats up front (again, another tactic for milking you dry) and I was so crammed that I couldn't move my legs? This airline is pathetic. I learned my lesson and will never fly Jetstar"

Flight cancelled by carrier no viable options offered by phone representative held on the telephone for over an hour whilst travelling to airport in an attempt to get a flight home. Holiday cut short, had to return rental car 1/2 day earlier than what had been paid for, lunch reservations had to be cancelled and no responsibility accepted by Jetstar representative. Well they have definitely lost me as a customer, none of the companies I own would treat a customer in such a manner we believe that we NEED customers to stay in business. Then to top it all off had a hour and a half travel time from Bne as opposed to half an hour from Coolangatta."

There was no-one to explain what we had to do so we only printed our boarding passes, and didnt realise we had to ALSO print baggage labels, so we consequently lost our place in the queue. The chat was clunky and not compatable with mobile phone. Then they couldn't refund the extra fees I had paid for assigned seats - that is a "different chat site" though I was reassigned a Quantas ticket and given tickets that had us split up on that flight. They couldn't give me a booking number or anything like that for the Quantas flight either. I will just save the hassle and fly with Quantas next time. Unimpressed with JetStar and their customer service was terrible. Still out the refund money and frankly it is worth it not to have to deal with them again."

Cons: "First time on a domestic airline in Australia, I read the information which appeared to say you could bring a 7 kg carry on item and a computer bag and a women could bring a small purse. When we checked in my wife's purse and my laptop in bag were all added as additional weight. So we were forced to pay additional excess weight charges of $50."

Cons: "They lost our luggage and it took many, many calls to finally get it over 24 hours later"

Pros: "I didn't get to fly as I had 3 brain surgeries in NY in May last year and I got sick and couldn't fly so I rang and no one could help me save the tickets so I'm very disappointed and won't use this app again. I have used this app so many times flying to America and back to Tasmania and this is how I was treated after 4 phone calls begging for help as it was the first trip my son and I were going alone as I hadn't seen him for two years. Qantas paid for my airfares to come home after surgery and I'll stay with them from now on"

Pros: "I like the fact that when you book a flight you then have to pay for a seat .... What do you expect us to stand ! then you have to pay for baggage and all the other hidden costs .... after you have payed !"
Cons: "Dont have a credit card and they say we will be only taking credit card for beverages . On the flight over they said the reason was because we came from Bali and had no change but why the flight from Adelaide so again couldn't buy anything... Great service !"

Cons: "We booked through Kayak and weren't told that when you book a flight with Jetstar, you get NO BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE. ZERO, ZIP, NIL. We didn't know this and assumed like other Australian and New Zealand carriers, we would each get one free bag, so I went online and paid $25 for a third bag. When we checked in for a domestic flight, we were told that we would have to pay $400 to send our luggage with us. THAT WAS MORE THAN WE PAID FOR OUR SEATS! We were also told that had we paid for our luggage ahead of time, it would have only been $60. Be very careful if you fly this airline. Make sure you know what is and what is not included with your ticket, especially if you use a third party to purchase your tickets. PS - All drinks (including coffee, tea, soda, etc.)are extra. Frankly, I'm surprised they don't charge for using the toilet in flight"

Cons: "Jetstar's carry on policy is a joke."

Cons: "When I booked from USA thru kayak I was told I would have 1 checked bag & 1 carry on . At airport I was charged $682 for luggage cause " I didn't say I was flying with luggage "supposedly opting out of the $ 35.00 fee for luggage. Only other option was to re-book for next day loosing out of bookings in Cairns which was not an option. Many other passengers on our flight faced same predatory practices by Jetstar. Gate agent said website changed to be more transparent. This is not true Luggage fees more than doubled cost of flight. This is only direct flight from Adelaide and you're trapped .""

Pros: "Crew were nice,flight itself went off without a hiccup and was fairly fuss-free"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed by approximately 1 hour, and there were few announcements about this until fairly late, and the departure billboards were slow to update too. Also, no armrest on my seat's right arm which was a little less comfortsble that it could have been (window seat, emergency exit row)"

Pros: "Unfortunately, there is nothing I like!!!"
Cons: "7 Kg per person rule including your handbag and leep-warm clothing, and neck cushion, babymilik and toys :is absolutely DISGUSTING! Most airlines allow 10Kg carry-on! They should have BOLD clear WARNING about luggage requirement @ the booking site, so that 'BUYER BEWARE". Probably end up with NO business!! And the checker acts like a 'MOTHER SUPERIOR', with no MERCY. I end up throwing away all my muchies and lost some of my luggage, being force to thumble everything right @ the boarding gate! Being a seasoned traveller, $50.00 per bag for check in bag, amount to 2/3 of your ticket price, is the highest I have ever seen in airlines!!! Truely, they attract you with a lower price than Virgin Atlantic, but they cut your throat with the carry-on and coffee and water! And they cancelled my return flight! And I am forced to take a flight time, that does not suit my itinerary! NEVER fly jetstar again!!! I feel I am taken!"

Cons: "Two unruly groups made it loud and frustrating."

Pros: "Speed of boarding (using front and back doors is brilliant!). Quality of airplane, crew and facilities is all first rate."
