Checked threw the computer & it said leaving out of domestic. Go down to the end of the hall, can check in there. It's Qantas alright, not open till 7:00. Start to panic a bit. Stopped someone and asked. They told me I was at the wrong terminal! Get to other, check in. Ask if I have to collect luggage and customs at LAX. No goes right threw. Wrong. Waited for cases at LAX. Have to collect & go threw customs. No cases, lost in Melbourne. Then I was ignored."

Once the seat in front of me reclined back I had my knees in the back of the chair the entire flight and I am not a particularly tall person- made for a pretty uncomfortable 15hrs."

Also, this particular flight was an evening flight and they even had complimentary snacks- not just peanuts but actual crackers and cheese. There was a small delay in the beginning due to crew having to come from another late aircraft but they handled it very professionally and despite starting late, still got us to our destination ahead of schedule."

Cons: "The seats in business are totally weird. There is a metal foot rest that’s quite common in premium economy but the stretch seemed very short. I’m a short guy and I found my feet hanging over this bar which was uncomfortable. Also the pitch of the seat and short seat made both my partner and I slide down the seat. Perhaps the seats Jet star selects for its business could have calf rests that are located higher up so our legs are elevated more like in a chaise lounge or hammock for don’t slide down. The absolute worst thing about Jetstar flights are the passengers. The lowest common denominator Australians book budget airlines (especially Jetstar) and they rush the gate, over pack their 7kg of carryon, they are rough and loud and have little control of their children. They don’t know the difference beteeen inside and outside voices and speaking to someone face to face instead of shouting from a distance. Perhaps Jetstar should have a flying etiquette email and in seat card to remind people of how to behave. One braided head wench was berating the poor guy checking tickets at the gate who asked her to finish her water as a condition of EVERY AIRLINE and AIRPORT. He didn’t deserve her uneducated rudeness."

Should have pay bit more in Virgin or Qantas and get some space to breath. Kayak does not offer extra luggage at time of you booking and jetstar sucks you like a leach on upgrading after booking. One of the passengers were not able to travel and ticket was complete lost , where as the inbound flight on Qantas gave us credit for the future. In the end , the total cost ends up close to other airlines with all the discomfort on the flight free."

Cons: "The rear of the plane was filled with screaming babies, loud uncontrolled children kicking the seats in front of them (mine). Equally loud mothers baby-talked continuously to their offending offspring with no effect. Cabin staff made no attempt to control the noise levels. I recognize some of these small children could have been suffering ear pain from the cabin pressure changes but trained cabin staff could have offered remedies for this. It does not explain the continuous screaming at cruising altitude. I recognize that JETSTAR is an intentionally cheap and nasty airline. I reluctantly took this flight because there was no quality service (like QANTAS) at the time I required. I accept the lack of amenities offered by REAL airlines like complimentary food, drink, entertainment and healthy legroom are the cost of cheap travel but I would have happily paid a higher price for QANTAS had there been a flight. I will not fly JETSTAR again and if no alternative exists with QANTAS, I will choose another airline in spite of my long allegiance to QANTAS CC: QANTAS"

You get nothing for your money EVERYTHING is EXTRA cost and expensive. From baggage to basic snacks, if you are silly enough to buy. Not even a radio outlet. Seats are hard and uncomfortable, but the "icing on the cake", is the removal of the pockets behind the seats to make the leg room look more, so you now have nowhere to put a water bottle or a drink down. JETSTAR/QANTAS should be very (proud) ashamed of themselves. By the way has anyone noticed the prospective destruction of the iconic Kangaroo symbol on QANTAS planes known all over the world as AUSTRALIAN, that the Irish CEO of Qantas is happily removing at enormous cost, over the next months to be replaced by an indescribable symbol, that is so similar to CHINA AIRLINES, it is not funny. Takeover in the wind?No wonder QANTAS is so expensive and its cheaper arm JETSTAR are cut to the bone. Staff can only do so much."

Cons: "Flight was late unexpectedly, causing me to miss a diving trip I had planned and prepaid for. I am out $200. This could have been avoided had anyone working at the airline been helpful about a revised landing time but they were not. Completely rude! Even when I boarded the flight the attendant said 'no idea when we are set to land!' And then she laughed in my face. Absolutely horrible."
