Cons: "- Put a special meal request. Meal request (vegan vegetarian) was confirmed on my boarding pass. However, when service came, flight attendant informed me that "I don't have any left. sorry". So I went 15 hours without food. - Ceiling light was "broken" and falling off. The light would not turn off, so I went 15 hours with no sleep. Overall very rude and low standard service."

Cons: "The seat I was in was broken. It moved and I was stuck sitting on metal. There was no leg room. The plane used going to Australia was a lot roomier this plane was old. Some of the flight attendants were very unfriendly and seemed to be bothered by the fact they had to do their job. The entertainment system had to be rebooted multiple times and the usb on the seats didn’t work. They ran out of food during lunch."
Pros: "The cree"
Cons: "The stupid boarding pricesd"
Pros: "In-flight entertainment Nice crew"
Cons: "The Delta seat assignment and boarding process The flight was delayed"
Pros: "The seats were comfortable, and I appreciate the eye shades. There was a tremendous amount of turbulence on the flight that seemed to last for hours without a break. Pros: "Boarding was quick, gate agent upgraded my middle seat to an exit row window for free (or so I thought), decent movie options"
Cons: "Some of the crew seemed a bit grumpy, was not given the seat I was told I got, not much leg room in economy, was given wrong meal, first meal was taken away without being asked, second meal was stale (french toast), flight was a bit warm, bathrooms not stocked"
Pros: "Movie selection"
Cons: "I used the call button for the attendant and no one came for a long time"
Pros: "Empty seats, room to spread out"
Cons: "In between Delta and Aeromexico changed my flight and made me travel more than 24 hours. In addition, I was traveling with a suitcase and nobody was able to pick it up for me. Layover time was 6 hours originally. Service from Aeromexico at JFK is the worst"
Cons: "No help with baggage when boarding the plane, they hurry you up for nothing, because we had to wait 20 mi utes to take off."
Cons: "Too crowded and seat mate stunk like pot , flight was good because we were 20 minutes late and flight crew very nice"
Pros: "Lots of water being offered. Lucky to have extra seat for comfort."
Cons: "It seemed longer than the estimated time. The food was bland. My husband's entertainment system worked, mine didn't. We had hit a lot of rough air during time over Pacific. Would have been nice if the pilot would have given more information."
Pros: "Landed from Sydney at 8am. Flew to San Francisco at 4pm. Long wait. Not good."
Cons: "Landed in Los Angeles at 8am. Left for San Francisco at 4pm. Aweful."
Pros: "service and accommodations."
Cons: "Ran out of a meal that I wanted. One flight attendant forgot to hand me utensils with my dinner meal."
Pros: "Staff on the plane was courteous although they skipped half of us for snacks & forgot some requests for water"
Cons: "Was not able to check in online. Was not able to select my seat online. I was told I would be able to do both of these things. Spent 30 minutes trying to find a number to someone at Delta to check in & select seat. I was in Australia & all Delta offices were closed because it was Sunday. Although I had an internationally calling plan, no calls to Delta US would go through. finally found someone through a back channel that would help me. We boarded an hour late, and staff would not answer any of our questions about what was going on or how late we would arrive (they sped up the fight so that we landed on time). Flight ran out of drinking WATER after the first service. Half of our section (Economy Plus) was skipped for snacks. An unruly child was allowed to scream for almost the entire flight & was running up & down the aisles. NOTHING was said to the parents by staff members. Was absolutely the worst behaving child with who I've had to fly."
Pros: "The staff was really nice and the pilot was very open and telling us the status of the "on hold" that we were experiencing."
Cons: "The flight was delayed but there was nothing the airline could do because it was beyond their control."
Pros: "Cabin crew were excellent and so friendly and down to earth."
Cons: "The seats are very hard but I find this with all the airlines now"
Pros: "Personnel and crew handled the problem in a professional manner doing everything in their power to make the best of a bad situation. Another plane was provided within a reasonable time frame."
Cons: "Four hour delay. Boarded and then being told after 40 minutes that the problem was not fixable."
Pros: "I'm an American ex-pat who travels to and from between the US and Australia. I do whatever I can to fly on Australian rather than American airlines, as they are always much better in every regard. But in this case it wasn't feasible, and I found myself on a Delta flight. I'd say the overall experience was somewhere between okay-good. Nothing major to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. The entertainment options were decent. I appreciated the variety of newly released movies. However, I would have liked a greater selection of TV shows, and the availability of more episodes. I also appreciated the availability of internet access, but I don't understand why it has to be quite *so* pricey. Surely they could make a bit more on greater volume if they dropped the price a bit. I didn't purchase access, but I would have if it were 40-50% cheaper. The comfort of the plane seemed the same as any of the alternatives. Boarding and deplaning were as they should be."
Cons: "The service from the crew though was simply ok. They were just friendly enough not to be rude, but no more than that. Virgin Australia and Qantas consistently have much happier crews, who make you feel like a dignified guest, even in economy. The food was average at best, and they served two meals where the Australian airlines would serve three on the same flight. They also offered less in the way of snacks and drink refills. It seemed like they were cutting corners here, which I don't appreciate on a 15 hour flight. Also, they said they "proudly serve Starbucks coffee". After drinking it, I don't think they should be proud of that! Again, overall it was a decent experience. Nothing flashy, but nothing too bad either. If the costs are comparable for your flight, you should certainly choose one of the Australian carriers. You'll get better service from the crew and better food. The one caveat, however, is that Delta has WiFi, whereas at the date of writing this, the Australian carriers do not. While access is exorbitant, if you really need to get some work done on the plane, you might choose Delta for this reason alone."
Pros: "Fairly comfortable and uneventful. The flight was delayed for an hour and a half, so we arrived in L.A. later than expected. The crew was excellent and friendly, Boarding was a bit crazy but in the end we all found our seat. My flight attendant was terrific. She did all she could to fix the problem to no avail, Kudos to her."
Cons: "The trip was okay. Unfortunantly my movie player quit after the first movie so I was left to reading. The coffee was horrible but the food was great. Good choices in the menu. I did get a $50.00 rebate due to the faulty video player, but seriously, what can you do with $50..00 on Delta?"
Pros: "Entertainment was fine."
Cons: "Food variety for lactose intolerant. Crew was bare able."
Cons: "Connection flight from LAX to Seattle was dropped off of booking completely. When Delta was able to fix the changes in Sydney Australia they put my husbands ticket as a standby instead of putting him in an assigned seat and reported that they couldn't fix it that we would have to wait and get to LAX before the changes could be made again. There was a one and a half hour flight delay from LAX to Seattle. From Sydney Australia to LAX entertainment system didn't work the whole entire flight, they were screaming children the entire flight, and Delta had double booked seats on several different people. There were no apologies and no compensation for any of the incidences."
Pros: "First flight I have ever flown that offered free beverages of all kinds. Food wasn't too bad. Entertainment choices were outstanding. Pilot was like a tour guide."
Cons: "Cramped space for 14 hours. Some crew were somewhat grumpy and seemed rushed, even though we had plenty of time."
Cons: "Lost luggage, 4 hours late, missed connection, had to re check in, etc."
Pros: "staff was very good."
Cons: "The flight was bought through Virgin Australia and without much notice, the flight was switched to Delta. The seats were amply smaller, amentities were not good (blankets and pillows). Food was terrible and was not as promised when the purchase was made through Virgin. Seats were so bad that my back and butt hurt after a couple hours. I would rather pay a couple hundred dollars more to have a quality flight experience."
Pros: "Our stewardess in the economy cabin was probably one of the best we have ever encountered. She was very courteous and personable."
