Months out my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked onto a later flight that would have made us miss all of our transfers to our honeymoon on Fitzroy Island. Because I had booked through 'a 3rd party' Qantas refused to assist me. I managed to convince budget air to change our flights. We were moved to a jetstar flight from Melbourne to cairns. I had to confirm that this had occurred and go through multiple people online to reallocate seats and food options for my husband and myself again. Only my luggage allowance was carried across to jetstar and neither of our meal allowances were. When it came to online check-in with jetstar I could not check my husband in online only myself. I spoke to multiple people online who all confirmed they didn't know why or there was no problem and we should just present ID and check in in person. When we got to the airport Qantas had not transferred the e-ticket code across for my husband's booking and this is why we could not check him in online. The jetstar staff had to try to get his original booking code from Qantas. As it turned out I had to original booking code through budget Air in my hand and had to assert this information to staff. Flying back we were able to check in online fine with Qantas. Our boarding passes printed different sizes but did not present a problem when we dropped off our luggage. When we sent to check in the staff member couldn't get the smaller pass to read and my husband had to assert that he also had it on his phone. Despite all of my online conversations the aisle seat was allocated to me and not my husband who required it because of a medical condition and the flight was 30min delayed. We won't be traveling with Qantas or jetstar, or booking through budget Air again."

Flight attendant sounded unprofessional over PA Would like more snacks - savoury and sweet, instead of just savoury. Snack was not sufficient for a 3 hour flight landing at 9pm. Had to wait on plane while airbridge was brought to the plane so everyone could disembark - “they weren’t expecting the flight!!” Whole flight still waiting for luggage after 55 minutes of standing at carousel and only after 55 minutes an announcement to say handlers are tending to a departure and we have to wait another 10 minutes - a whole hour for luggage - take carry on only next time!!!! 4 flights collecting luggage from the one carousel!!"

Oh, and did I mention that I paid for seats up front (again, another tactic for milking you dry) and I was so crammed that I couldn't move my legs? This airline is pathetic. I was reassured the children could travel and they made a note as requested. Turn up for our flight today and at the gate after saying goodbye to my children, they're stopped from entering the plane and I'm told they can't travel, despite the advice I received from the call centre and the note on our booking showing we were given this advice. Cons: "Jetstar are unreliable, and do their best to extort more money from customers than the seemingly low initial price. Since they don't refund anything, if you need to make a change, they charge like wounded bulls and push you onto flights with inconvenient times and connections, then lie barefacedly, telling you the better flights are full."

Cons: "We got told the flight was from the international terminal and we could not make it even though we were at the terminal 1 hr earlier. Had to pay additional $50 to get on the next flight. A lot of other people were in the same boat as us"

Cons: "I was informed 5 days in advance that my mid morning flight was cancelled due to "engineering reasons" via an unapologetic and unhelpful email. The burden was on me to reschedule (to a very inconvenient ultra early departure), and I had to twist the customer service fellow's arm to give me a beverage voucher in compensation. Then, when boarding I was mugged for my back pack. 50$ because it was over their utterly disingenuous 7kg "safety limit". It's not a safety rule - the CAA sets that. It's a revenue rule."

Pros: "I didn't get to fly as I had 3 brain surgeries in NY in May last year and I got sick and couldn't fly so I rang and no one could help me save the tickets so I'm very disappointed and won't use this app again. I have used this app so many times flying to America and back to Tasmania and this is how I was treated after 4 phone calls begging for help as it was the first trip my son and I were going alone as I hadn't seen him for two years. Qantas paid for my airfares to come home after surgery and I'll stay with them from now on"

Pros: "Flight was delayed and board said new time was 40 mins later when plane arrives. Gate then changed very close to boarding time."

Pros: "I like the fact that when you book a flight you then have to pay for a seat .... What do you expect us to stand ! then you have to pay for baggage and all the other hidden costs .... after you have payed !"
Cons: "Dont have a credit card and they say we will be only taking credit card for beverages . On the flight over they said the reason was because we came from Bali and had no change but why the flight from Adelaide so again couldn't buy anything... Great service !"

Cons: "Excessive baggage charges. Very poor check in. Nobody was there to help us check in our bags as there was no check in counter. Not even a drop of water offered in the flight for free. Very narrow seats with no seat pockets to keep any personal articles."

Pros: "The couple I sat next to were lovely."
Cons: "The plane was over 2.5 hours late with no explanation. Coffee and tea were not free on this 9 hour flight on the morning rounds - one would sethink you back 4 whole dollars! The lady laughed at my flabbergasted face whend my jaw dropped and I said I couldn't afford that for water and a tea packet. Absolutely no value for cost, and beyond disappointing. I will spend whatever it takes to never use this airline again."

Pros: "Amenity pack and entertainment were good. More movies to offer would have made the entertainment even better."
Cons: "We flew business class and it didn't feel too much like a business class experience. Welcome drinks were a nice touch but from there the service was not very attentive, we had to ask for empty glasses and plates to be cleared after they sat with us for over an hour. The meal was not great - pretty lack luster. No priority bag tags and our bags took over an hour to come out the other end."

Pros: "The flight itself was mostly fine. There was pretty bad wind turbulence and the pilot handled it smoothly."
Cons: "The website didn't let us know that we would have to pay a huge fee at the airport to put our bags on the plane. There were only two and they were not overweight, and still they cost us more than our two seats cost us. Then when we got on board they made us move out of the extra-knee-room seats we had paid for and into regular seats. It was not pleasant."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Service is terrible, they constantly change the rules so its different every time. They don't serve beverages on domestic flights but they also don't let you bring your own. They charge per kilo for bags being overweight. They weigh your carry on plus your personal items which can only add up to 7 kg and will charge you if you are over even if by just 1kg. Do not ever fly with jetstar."

Cons: "Jetstar and similar Australian airlines are corrupt. You have to purchase additional luggage allowance 3 hours before flight time, and then it goes to $15AUD per pound. This was not clear to me. I was shocked when I was asked to pay $500 for my check-in luggage flying from Brisbane to Sydney, which was 6 times the price of my plane ticket. Corrupt!"

Pros: "quick boarding, smart to use both doors to board faster"
Cons: "the flight was delayed almost 2 hours. we had to wait around the airport which was very boring and a waste of time. if we had been informed of the delay we could've gotten to the airport much faster. a free glass of water on board would've been nice."

Cons: "Seats have no lumbar support. Uncomfortable"

Pros: "Flight was non-stop and low-priced."
Cons: "I purchased a flight leaving at noon. Time was changed to 5pm, then a month later to 9am, then back to 5pm. That's an 8 hour time change. I had to move my hotel reservation for the night before the flight from Port Douglas to Cairns. I had to reschedule my coach transport from PD to CNS. I arrived at Darwin airport at 7:05pm--very inconvenient as I was being picked up at 6:45am for a 3-day trip to Kakadu. Besides flight time changes, expect to pay extra for everything on board and be sure to prepay luggage costs. Cramped seating on a very full plane."

Cons: "excessive baggage fees unfair for international travelers...should state on their web site this airlines is not international traveler friendly we charge high rates for baggage so do not use us unless you have no bags...crew was unfriendly and land reps must get paid commission on what they can overcharge passengers."

Cons: "Lesson learned, NEVER fly Jetstar again. As an international traveler, I had an oversized bag with me that was free on my other 4 flights, but got totally blindsided by the exorbitant fee Jetstar charged. It would have cost $25 in the USA IF they would have charged me, $170 on Jetstar. Ruined my day."

Cons: "We expected to be offered water, but were not; unless there was some announcement which we could not understand."
