It makes me reconsider wanting to travel again anywhere anytime soon, so discouraging! Also they make me take stuff out of my big suitcase and transfer to my carry on, in front of everyone at the ticket counter I had to open my suitcase and transfer some stuff so the weight is under a certain weight. Then on the way home another 30 min delay. horrible first experience flying, Was very disappointed in the customer service & missed my brothers wedding. I should have booked Qantas instead of Virgin."

Gluten intolerance is so common these days so it's unbelievable that Virgin doesn't try to ensure at least one of the dishes doesn't have wheat/gluten. A 5 hour trip to/from Perth to Brisbane is a very long time to have no savoury meals. I never thought I'd say this, being a loyal Virgin flyer; Qantas is looking more appealing as they cater for GF meals Alim domestic flight and have started to improve their customer service."

Cons: "It was $25 per kilo if I didn't pre add it on my ticket. Meals were for sale only, not complementary, same for entertainment. The plane was comfortable enough and the crew were kind. But the company pinched pennies and over charged at every turn. Don't fly with them!"

They could have easily put it in a small box, put it under the plane, and charge me $25 at the most for it. Instead I had to give it to the clerk at the counter because I only paid $20 for the item. I didn't mind having to put it under the plane but for $70?"
