FAQs for Dubai business class flights

  • What airport services are provided to business class passengers departing from Australia?

As a business class passenger departing from major Australian airports such as Sydney (SYD) and Melbourne (MEL), you can anticipate a range of benefits. These include priority check-in, early boarding and access to exclusive lounges, enhancing your travel experience. Upon arrival in Dubai, you'll also enjoy early disembarkation and expect your bags to be among the first to arrive at the carousel, minimising waiting time.

  • Which airports have the best business class facilities for layovers between Australia and Dubai?

Layovers are a great way to break up long-haul flights, allowing you to stretch your legs and enjoy the premium facilities on offer in business class lounges. In addition to showers, high-quality food and barista and bar service, Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) allows you to book your own private suite within the business lounge, adding to the premium benefits.

  • What’s the usual luggage allowance for business class flights to Dubai?

Whether you book with Qantas, Emirates, Etihad, Singapore Airlines or another carrier, you’ll generally have a 40 kg checked luggage allowance as a business class passenger. Carry-on luggage allowances differ from airline to airline. For example, Qantas generally offers one personal item and one carry-on bag up to 10 kg, while Emirates and Singapore Airlines typically allow two 7 kg bags and one personal item.

  • Do any airlines offer a chauffeur service from Dubai Airport?

If you book your business class flights to Dubai with Emirates, you can book a complimentary chauffeur service between the airport and your accommodation. In Dubai, there’s no limit to the distance between your accommodation and the airport. However, the chauffeur service is not available for travel between terminals. There’s generally a limit of four passengers per vehicle. However, if you have a larger party, you can either request a larger vehicle or request multiple cars. These are, of course, subject to availability, so it’s wise to book as early as possible.

Top tips for finding business class flights to Dubai

  • If you are travelling with your partner, note that Singapore Airlines offers dual configuration business class seats in the middle row of their A380s. This means you can sit together rather than in separate suites. You’ll both have aisle access, and you can stretch your seats out into a comfortable flatbed.
  • Business class travellers looking for a quieter and more peaceful trip may wish to consider Etihad. In addition to offering high-quality noise-cancelling headphones to business class passengers, Etihad’s Airbus A350s are quieter than most aircraft.
  • Etihad offers business class passengers the ability to choose when and what they eat, rather than sticking to set meal service times. Whether you want a large main meal or a healthy snack, you can order from the à la carte menu at any time during the flight.
  • If you’d like to fast-track your transition through immigration and security at Dubai International Airport (DXB), consider booking business class flights with Emirates. As Dubai’s official airline, Emirates includes a fast-track service for business class passengers.
  • Qantas and Emirates are the only airlines offering direct business class flights to Dubai. Airlines almost always stop in their hub city when servicing international flights, which is why carriers like Singapore Airlines and Korean Air have stops along the way.
  • Look for a flight with a stopover if you’re looking to save money, as direct business class flights are generally more expensive for the route.
  • What’s a good price for a business class ticket between Australia and Dubai? 25% of our users found flights on this route for $7,400 or less one-way and $5,646 or less return.

Seat did not recline at all, wi-FI did not work at all. Those are both very unfortunate for a 14 hour flight. Crew and food was of course very nice as always.

Food was great. More vegetarian options on menu would be great!

Wifi was not operational for the whole trip. Other than this, flight was well received .

Food no so good. Extra charge to much for front seats cost me £163 then other people sat near me for nothing 🤬

Comfort and customer service from most if the crew was great. The crew reassigning passengers should consider the presence of infants when reassigning seats. Unfortunately a couple of oversized passengers were relocated next to us, making this segment a bit uncomfortable, as there was not only extra leg space required. I ended up swapping seats with my husband so our baby wouldn't be impacted. My husband travelled quite uncomfortable as the reassigned neighbour shoulder and arm ended up on my husband's seat

Flight attendants were great. Comfort of seat and lie down bed pretty good. Food was very mediocre. Wine was good (red French wine) although I should have taken advantage of having more! :-) it was too late on the flight From znz—I was tired…then too early from Dubai. Woman sitting behind me dropped a full bag of garbage on my head while I was sleeping…orange peels, wet partially eaten food and very smelly food garbage which I literally had to pick out of my hair, off my face and away from my pillow. Not the airlines fault but still a very unpleasant experience.

Seats are not as easy to move as you would hope in premium econo Y

The plane was very old and uncomfortable. Service was very slow!

Flight from Dubai to Zagreb very bad cabin crew. Bad food

I bought Business class ticket but they treated me like economic class. No lounge allowed at check inn I have to take stuff out while other passengers have more than 25 lb in bag. Because I bought tickets from other than airlines . It’s discriminations from airlines to passengers.

Very good overall. Highly recommend for all flying to Australia

Our boarding and flight was very good. However when we landed and pulled in to the gate it took 55 minutes for the jet bridge to be positioned next to the aircraft. That caused us to miss our ground transportation and it caused us unnecessary last minute transit planning and expense. Our flight was AA1733 on March 17, 2026

Business seats not as comfortable or private as most competitors (e.g. Qantas was outstanding), and movie selection was much more limited than Qantas or United has been recently

One of the oldest most uncomfortable "lay down" seats I've ever experienced. Old plane and old seats that don't lay flat. The seat back does not even recline - at all. Instead the legrest awkwardly extends to fill the gap between a small cubby into which you must insert your feet/legs. I am 5' 11" and could not lay straight but had to tuck my knees. Ticket was also very expensive. Would not recommend flying business/first on Finair from Melbourne to Bangkok and will not do so again myself.

Our baggage didn’t arrive with us on the plane. Need I say more?

American Airlines was their usual junk service — but at least it got us down to LA. I was more irritated that while they codeshare with Alaska Airlines in Seattle, they could not out our flight on one of these, opting for one of the small SkyWest operated American Eagle flights — and causing a 14 hour layover. Which I accepted due to a $2000 difference in airfare — that said it was irritating for a flight that usually would have cost around $100 extra, if that.

Great. Airhostess was amazing. Dinner a little spicy! Could have had a mention beforehand about that though

Better food, hotter coffee, otherwise it was a very smooth and reasonably comfortable flight.

First time flying in Qantas. There is zero WiFi on the flight to/from Australia. Crew was great both routes - very attentive, personalized service. Pleasant staff throughout.

The staff seemed a bit disinterested and some requests didn’t get answered. I finally got up and brought water for a passenger who had asked nicely 3 times for water. My headphones didn’t work and it took multiple requests to get them replaced.

I was denied boarding at the Brisbane airport and it seems like I won’t get any refunds from the airline

In my return flight they couldn’t identify my ticket or boarding pass, I had to go to 3 different counters until I was able to get my boarding pass. The food was on, it was the bear minimum. They didn’t even recognise that I was a Muslim and can’t eat meat, chicken or pork. In one of the trays I believe they served me pork. The staff were very pleasant, but they need to be aware of their surroundings more carefully, one of them stuck her lower belly right into my face! I was shocked and very uncomfortable.

Overall I had good experience with China Southern airline. Nothing to claim. I hoped they could improve the meal quality that is.

The back of the chair - premium economy could not move back - not worth the price

It was great. The staff were so nice and helpful the food was great and they always made sure I was okay. As a foreigner I was worried about the language barrier but it was absolutely no issues. I highly recommend

Food was terrible. Fish was equal to a sausage and scrumbled eggs were terribly green with a quite weird fllavour. Everybody with me hated all options. The best food was the bread with butter.

We bought an upgrade to Business Class at the airport but did not realise that it was not the regular Business Class. The 787 Dreamliner was very dated with the seats not as comfortable as other airlines and some things were almost coming off. We were then told that because it was an upgrade at the airport, we get to sit in the BC cabin but will be served economy class food. So when everyone else got served in china ware, we were given the tray you got in economy class. The wifi does not work. It only connects to watch movies (which is the same as what you find in the ICE) but the internet does not work. The cabin crew while were friendly, were not responsive. Overall, I will never fly China Southern again.

We bought the business class tickets. The check-in staff and onboard crew were excellent, providing commendable service throughout. However, it was disappointing to find that China Southern Airlines does not have a lounge at SFO. Instead, passengers were provided with a $35 per person food voucher, which fell short of expectations. Furthermore, the quality of the onboard food left much to be desired, marking a significant decline compared to our previous flight experience in 2019, prior to the pandemic.

Wuhan - Dubai. Old plane: 1. Only USB charger. No power outlet to plug in.. 2. Super narrow seat layout 3. Toilet cover consistently fell down and hit my back when sitting on it.. :( 4. Entertainment system touch screen not sensitive, and need to press hard or use finger tips to hit. Crew were very nice and accommodating though.

During flight, some passengers perform stomping leg exercises which disturb the comfort (I.e. sleep) of other passengers.

Qatar was pretty OK for their services but Arangrant was awful at theirs and frankly lied to me. Qatar offers four business class fares and only three of them allow lounge access. This is a horrible policy when you pay so much for business class and shame on them for denying the simple use of their lounges for this confusion. When I requested my business class ticket with Arangrant I knew this and specifically told them I would only purchase the lowest class business seat that would still permit me lounge access on all legs of my trip. They lied to me and said I did and then I was refused this service on my return flights. I had no less than 4-8 schedule changes and got screwed by a late departure from DCA on my double connection to JNB. I lost nearly a full day on my outbound and then had little to no use of the lounges on my outbound flights. To then be denied access on my return flights made the 27 hour trip home pretty awful. Kayak should no longer work with Arangrant as they are dishonest and liars. Qatar should price all four of their business class fares to include lounge access and stop the insanity they have forced on people. My return trip home nearly ruined my entire trip to South Africa and I blame Arangrant for telling me lies and for Qatar for offering insane rules and regulations on such expensive business class fares. For the money I paid to Qatar, I did not receive the full services I was promised. I will probably never use Arangrant and their ignorant services ever again. I will question whether I ever fly on Qatar Airways again as well. When you pay so much and get such little in return, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Arangrant gives the whole industry a bad name and Qatar is not far behind them. I can honestly say that the wretched service and way I was treated by both have soured me on travel companies and airlines. It is bad enough that we have an idiot, felon, racist and bigoted president and administration to contend with while he has started an illegal war, I did not expect to get screwed over by Arangrant and Qatar as well. Shame on all of you.

excellent! movie selection just ok, but everything else was wonderful.

The boarding process was awful-the computers were down and there was no way to check in. Took extremely long, very chaotic and no guarantee our bags were even getting on the plane. I was also delayed and took away from any time i had to catch a connecting flight.

Lobster starter in business class was not good, tough, served cold, and without butter. Movie selection was missing latest releases, did not offer older classic, high quality movies

I was denied lounge facility at airport. Explanation was not satisfactory.

From Montreal to Doha , we habe two complaints : 1) They want to charge for Seat Selection, claiming that the Class of ticket bought on Kayak did not cover seat selection. It such a penny pinching rule, I told them, since we paid almost $20,000 our 3 tickets , that rule should never exist. Also I reserved my tickets so many months ahead, I expected they will naturally put the family together or move somebody else to keep our family seating together. I filed a complaint, and NOBODY ANSWERED. 2) In Montreal, Qatar has an arrangement with the National Bank Lounge. It was so overcrowded and the Lounge is so bad in terms of service and food, amenities etc... The WORST lounge . Why Qatar not have another arrangement their Business Class clients in Montreal. The Air France KLM Lounger is better, the Air Canada Lounge is better. Qatar should send somebody to take a look ! Joseph Chung

The crew was fantastic and the over flight was perfect as well.

My seat that I booked over a year ago and some other passenger was sitting in it. They said they could not walk and they would not move. I was with my young kid and the crew did nothing to accommodate that. Just disappointed that the airline accepts that excuse from a passenger.

The business class experience was awesome - I will be using QATAR airways again and it'll be business class again - appreciate the privileges afforded to the business class clients - thank you.

Check-in staff were not very pleasing and sounded to be rude, even though I hold a platinum membership. The aircraft is brand new and good. As it's a short flight no other comments.

The flight was delayed. The staff made us wait in the room that is too small and it was crowded and with no seats available for waiting. They did not tell us why the delay occurred.

While boarding at PVG, there was a ticket checking at the gate, then there was another ticket checking at the bottom of the escalator, which created quite a dangerous congestion. Not sure which idiot made this absolutely unnecessary arrangement.

While boarding at PVG, there was a ticket checking by the gate, then there was another ticket checking right at the bottom of the escalator, which created quite a dangerous congestion. Don't understand why the duplication?

China Eastern as a member of Sky Alliance airlines should have the same standards overall of their partners, Besides the seats comforts everything else is bellow the standard for a business class travelers. A BIG ISSUE FOR NON-CHINESE PASSENGERS IS THE ABILITY TO CHECK IN ONLINE, by making so difficult or almost impossible there is no chance to get a seat assignment ahead of time then go to the airport and get what is left. THIS IS NOT a SKY TEAM modality.

China Eastern as a member of Sky Alliance airlines should have the same standards overall of their partners, Besides the seats comforts everything else is bellow the standard for a business class travelers.

The only personel that smiled at all were the flights attendants. Desk agents, lounge people none of them had a smile or even a hello. They were like dealing with dead fish. Again flight attendants were good. All other personnel looked like they didn’t want to be there or help.

good flight. food is only so so. I actually did not eat the snack. it does not look too good on the passenger next to me.

Super surprised with the entire experience. Business class is incredible. Flight attendants around the world could learn customer service from these people. Simply fabulous experience all the way around.

Price is the main attraction. Staff is OK but difficult to communicate with them due to general lack of English. Food is truly abysmal, the main courses (4) were barely edible. The choices for breakfast served at 5:30 am prior to landing at Gatwick airport were Spaghetti Bolognese or seafood fried rice. Choices offered for all 4 mains were either something rice or noodles. Shanghai airport layover is much too long in a very poorly serviced airport. We were unable to use WiFi; private lounges required cash only payment with no ATM or cash exchange open.

Flight was delayed for more than 3 hours, food was mediocre, seat didn’t recline
