Movies stopped playing and then the whole system locked up. First it was just individual seats that had problems but eventually the entire plane was unable to view anything. Even a complete reboot did not help. We spent the last 6hrs of the flight unable to view anything even though they repeatedly tried to reset the system"

I had boasted to my fam that Quantas (was famous in my memory) as having economy seats that felt more like other airlines Business Seats. My kids were eager to experience the "Quantas" seats. I was severely dissapointed to find that your economy seats, now, are even smaller than the Chinese seats we regularly fly (we are in our 5th year of ex-pat assignment in China). You should have seen the look on my kids faces. Evidently, i must have "talked Quantas up too much", because there was a great deal of dissapointment. We will travel back to NZ and Aus., this fall, but will no longer prioritize Quantas as our airline of choise. I guess times change, and a little bit of nastalgia lost.... :("

They should have just allowed us since we know it's possible. We spent 14, 000NZ additional for that mistake."

An American agent said I had plenty of time to check a bag, beingnup until 45 minutes before and would not help me. When I got to the counter, it was 1 hour before and they said I was too late to check my bag and since I had a bag, they would not give me a boarding pass. They were awful to me and so unhelpful. I will never use this airline or a sister airline again."

Removed all of us from plane to rebook, a nightmare. Then proceeded to immediately reboard next flight of passengers on same plane to same destination and take off. Return flight booked all at once, Sydney to dallas to bwi. Sydney flight late, gave us special red easy pass envelope with boarding pass to connect to dallas-bwi flight. We had to wait for luggage, then in line for customs, and another line for re checking luggage, then walk to next gate and another security line, and flight left without us. Easy pass did nothing for us. Missed flight by 5 min. Gave us the impression when we got off sydney flight they were going to wait for us. Waited 45 min for luggage, 20 min for customs and 10 min for security. If we had any special treatment at any stage we would have made our connection. Worst experience with American Airlines ever."

When we finally landed in Sydney my wife's luggage was missing they discovered that it was left behind in Dallas. The airline later told me after I called back to check the status her bag did make it on a later flight only to discover that they were wrong. No bag as of yet, our entire vacation has been a disaster."

The lady at the counter said that we had to check in at least 3 hours before the flight, which is a lie. I asked if there is anything she can help re-schedule, and she simple refused to help in anyway. I am very disappointed on the service of Quanta airline."

I'd have to do my darndest to rewind the movie, while trying to get the audio jack to work. It took a lot of work to get the movie to rewind, and then after it started, I couldn't get the touch screen to work for it to stop & play again. Sometimes it would rewind the movie 20-30 minutes before I could get it to play again. All very frustrating."

I had golf clubs and was told to wait at a desk were I stood for 10 mins while a woman looked at the computer, not looking up from it in the whole time. There was another lady checking clubs too, and you would thing it was the fist time they had ever had to check golf clubs into a flight; I assume that's not true."

I stand at 5 feet tall and of course always have lots of leg room. Rarely do I get uncomfortable on planes.... But with the constant jostling from my rear neighbor I was unable to sleep, relax, and get comfortable."

Pros: "Have a pinched nerve that is causing loss of fine motor skills in my left hand a great pain. I am 6'5" and can't make myself any smaller. Despite informing a crew member of my medical condition, they made no effort to be careful when they came through the cabin. I thought sitting in the bulkhead right behind first class it would limit the traffic but the aisle was used heavily and with the first class aisle being more inline with my seat than the aisle for the rest of the plane, the attendants literally ran into me constantly causing me much pain."

Flew at midnight, arrived 6am instead of arrival at 10:10pm and an overnight stay in airport hotel which was paid for and no refund on cancellation. Had to pay extra taxi costs. Because of the 10hour delay, I had to get a taxi home due to there being no way to go home and await flight."

Cons: "Due to a storm that had passed in Samoa, my non-stop Monday flight was cancelled to Sydney, however they had a flight on Sunday night but only after considerable effort was I given a seat on that flight which went through Auckland with a horrible 7 hour wait in the early morning hours!!! Airport was cold no where to comfortably laydown....no lounges were open....and this flight was cheaper than the non-stop and I want a refund to that effect......they actually tried to suggest a flight over 5 days later!!! Where is the justification here? No even a beverage was offered!! Not very nice!!! Urima Matavao...."

Cons: "The VA economy seats have USB charging but no electrical outlets. You need to be in 'premium economy' to have acces to an outlet. Also on the way back we were on a Delta plane which was older and very uncomfortable in economy"

The Delta employee at the gate was rude, unapproachable and unhelpful. She told me ai was lucky to get a seat. When my wife rang Virgin to find out why my paid, and confirmed flight did not entitle me to a seat allocation when I checked my bags, she was told it was Delta's fault. When she called Delta they informed her that the flight had been overbooked. All in all a very poor customer service from both Airlines."

Cons: "I tried to pay for an extra bag online the day before we boarded (using an iPad), and the website spit back that "my itinerary did not allow for prepaying for luggage" or something to the effect. So when I arrived at the airport I almost got charged $70 for a carry-on sized extra bag I had some souvenirs in. Not great. Thankfully the person checking me in had mercy when I told her my story and only ended up charging me the $35 online fee, but that was up to her discretion. I really would have been mad to be penalized for not buying ahead of time online when the website wouldn't let me do it."

Cons: "When we purchasing tickets through Kayak we were not informed that we would have to pay $25 per kilogram on our checked bags. These bags are normally roller wheel carry-ons, but we were not allowed to carry them on. The cost was $640! We were told only when we got to the counter (there are no electronic tickets or electronic check in.) we received a 'discount' and had to pay $360. The jet star agent admitted that she gets multiple complaints DAILY about these fees. Jet Star scams its customers. The reviews are poor precisely because of this. Avoid this airline."

Honestly I don't know how he got a customer-facing position when his best response is "you should know better" when we mentioned that we were under the impression that the carry on baggage limit didn't include purses. We didn't get food, and entertainment was nonexistent (which is why we went with what we thought was Quantas). Added to the long line for Jetstar bag drop and the uncomfortable airplane, I'll never fly Jetstar again. Furthermore, Quantas should seriously consider whether lying to its customers is a good strategy."

Cons: "Worst airline experience in my 40 years of travel"

Pros: "Nothing. They are a bunch of criminals."
Cons: "They are a bunch of criminals. They stole $320 from us in baggage fees, just because we didn't check in online. THIS WAS MENTIONED NOWHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE OR DURING BOOKING OR IN EMAILS THEY SENT BEDORE THE FLIGHT. They are a cheap criminal airline and I will never fly with them again."

Pros: "The flight is like Southeast Airlines, so don't expect any entertainment or special features. The ride was a bit bumpy, but the plane handled the conditions well. The flight was for only 2 hours and 48 minutes. We didn't get anything to eat unless you paid for it; the food didn't look that appealing to me. Overall, I just happy to be in Australia safely."
Cons: "No entertainment or good service."

Pros: "Helpful and friendly staff on board. Easy check in and boarding. Slight departure delay but arrived on time."
Cons: "Food options aren't great or cheap, but it's a budget airline so what do you really expect? Same goes for baggage. 7kg carry-on isn't a lot but prepare for it properly and you'll have no problems - you can't complain when you're charged for being a few kilos over."

Cons: "Spent almost 200 dollars for baggage and seating. They lost my luggage and it took 3 days to get it back, finally. On my flight back they messed up my seat. I booked an aisle seat and got something right in the middle. When I told them I payed for seating they told me that you can pay for it but they still don't guarantee that you get the seat. Why exactly do I spent money on seating then? I'll never fly jetstar again."

Pros: "Our airline didn't inform us that we needed a visa for our over night flight layover !"
Cons: "We had plans and accomidations made for whenwe touched down in Sydney ! But unfortunately the airline we booked with didn't inform us or set us up with our visa !"

Cons: "160 dollars to check a bag. I'll never fly with this airline again"

Pros: "Unreasonable carry-on luggage overweight charge"
Cons: "Apparently, the airplane was trying to make extra money from charging the carry-on luggage. I was charged at the airport about NZ160 for each checked overweight luggage, which other airlines normally not so strict about the carry on weight. Be careful when booking their flight."

Cons: "I paid nearly $400 for a one way flight from Sydney to Auckland. You think they could include a Coke and a package of peanuts. I will avoid using Jetstar in the future."

Cons: "Was charged 50$ at check in at airport for luggage. It was a carry on size they said it was over weight had flown with same items on several different airlines, Quantas, American, and virgin no one else stop me. If this is how they get the ticket cheap, just state that upfront. So I know and am not surprised at airport."

Pros: "I am on six jetstar flights and they charged me over 1,000 dollars for bags just a much as my flight from usa to Australia. Totally ridiculous because yoi site does not have a place to add bag charge. Really putting a damper on my trip. I will never use your sitee again. It is not fair to put this extra expense on someone when it could have been taking care of at the beginning. Of you all set your website up right!"

Pros: "Inexpensive flight with many departure times"
Cons: "The flight was just under an hour and a half. It felt like the intercom was running constantly. They were selling raffle tickets for a car, they were selling snacks, they were asking for donations to a charity. The constant intercom communications were very frustrating. There is also a hidden $50 fee per checked bag with a limit of 15Kg. After that there is a charge for every kilogram over 15. We ended up paying $220 in baggage fees. It would have been cheaper to buy two more seats and buckle our luggage in."

Cons: "Website set for not allowing early payment of baggage fees in order to charge penalties."

Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "They left my luggage in Auckland (I live in Dallas) AFTER forcing me to pack everything into it due to the dumbest "1 carry on" rule I've ever heard. The check in counter was severely understaffed. The whole experience was terrible and it was literally my first experience."

Cons: "The baggage fees were all over the board, for the same piece of luggage I paid anywhere from $28 (pretty standard) to $49. I'm not sure what dictates the difference, as when I printed off the itinerary for the 4 flights we had they all said $28 and no one could give me an explanation of why the change or difference. The bag was in within the standard weight limits. Had I know that I probably would have chosen a different carrier as they weren't that much less expensive."

Pros: "Agents at the desk were much more friendly, however Jetstar's policies are self-serving and as such the agents are hard pressed to offer any kind of customer service."
Cons: "No options for check in baggage when I purchased the ticket online, so baggage cost me $260 at check-in. Agents at the desk were extremely indifferent and borderline rude, overall extremely unhelpful. Airplane interior was dingy, seat cushions were worn down and flat, extremely limited leg space (I cannot stress enough how inadequate the leg space was), no entertainment. No complimentary drinks, not even water."

Pros: "The staff were very good."
Cons: "I booked a seat and did not get the seat l had booked."

Cons: "No leg room. No food. No drink, not even water. You can have water if you have four dollars."

Cons: "I over paid for his flight through kayak which is very disapponting. If I had booked direct on the jetstar website I would have saved about $240AUD I didn't get a business max seat or the 120 status points in my Qantas frequent flyer account. Bad and false advertising on kayak's part! Won't ever use kayak again to book ANYTHING!"

Pros: "We got to our destination safely (always the most important consideration) and on time"
Cons: "The amount charged for baggage is out of line with other airlines and, more important, they make you pay a stiff penalty for paying for your luggage the day of the flight rather than two days in advance. But there was no prior notification that such a penalty applied. The airline personnel—on board, and at the counter—were nowhere near as friendly as those of other airlines that serve this region."

Pros: "Nothing, I will never use this airline agaib"
Cons: "the service, unclear baggage and service charges."

Pros: "Boarding was easy through both front and rear doors, despite passengers who had no idea which door might be best for them - like they had never seen a plane before! Water was free on the flight. Flight was on time and they didn't lose my checked bags (just as well since I paid for them)."
Cons: "Most aspects of check-in were unpleasant, staff were laughing when they arrived in the hall, but were miserable when speaking with customers - obviously their training is effective! If you traveled from the US with 50lbs bags, how are they suddenly going to become 20Kg bags? Perhaps Jetstar has instructions on what to throw out? 7Kg carry on limit is virtually impossible if you have a bag with camera/laptop/tablet/phone/chargers, medication and all the other stuff we are told not to check, a book maybe and a body warmer, and a pillow."

Cons: "We were stuck on the tarmac for 3 hours and there was no attempt to make us passengers comfortable during that time. Poor service."
