Quick boarding efficient on time smooth 'sailing'. No luggage so I was on the bus 5 minutes after the flight landed

Seats are uncomfortable the pads around the neck push my head forward. Would be great to have better support for the back making the seat shaper like an L. Tall person problem.

The ride on the plane was all good

I didn’t like that when I purchased the tickets it gave me no option to add bags to my ticket. My itinerary that was emailed to me didn’t even say anything about paying for the bags before I got there. I got a huge shock when I was first in line and I was told I would have to pay 370 dollars for both my bags. I was livid and quite frankly don’t want to fly or book with virgin ever again. That couldn’t even help me out with anything so overall I’m upset and will never fly with you Virgin. I will also let it be known about this. I’m just a young traveler traveling for education and I get stuck with this bill to where I shouldn’t even go because I spent so much money just for my bags :(

Flight canceled after luggage gone spent bight hotel arrive later than they said next day and missed connecting

In Sydney spent another night in hotel missed fathers 87th birthday. Promised no fees to change return ticket told it was in file and to just call the was no record of that promise when I called overall horrible experience

This flight was full with many families with small children. The parents exercised almost no control over their rambunctious children. A gentlemen in my row turned around to request that the children seated behind him not bang and bump the back of his seat. After 3 such requests a fight almost broke out between adults. I’ve never experienced anything quite like this on a flight. I myself got no rest on the 3 hr flight to Cairns.

The flight attendants on board were good! They helped get everything straight. Easily could have been handled by the incompetent gate agent. Wow.

*Our flight from LA to Melbourne on January 7th was cancelled. Fortunately, Qantas crew members were able to place us on an American Airlines flight to JFK the very same day.

Really nothing.

Boarding was slow and people were standing in line for ages before they started to let passengers board. Once boarded, flight was delayed over an hour so we just sat there on the plane. We were sitting in the last row where extremely cold air was just blowing directly at us the entire flight! We asked a few members of the crew including the manager and were told that that's what happens when you're close to the door. It was the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE flight of my life!!! I will never fly Qantas again. They were a complete nightmare and definitely the low point of our wonderful vacation.

We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline.

I never got to Cabo. It took 2 hours for Delta to de-ice the plane in Milwaukee. Because of the long delay we missed the flight to Cabo. We asked Delta to book us on another flight to get us to Cabo today, Delta reps said nothing was available. Delta gave us a discounted coupon for a hotel in Atlanta and rebooked us on a flight to Cabo tomorrow.

Entertainment system is rather tired for today’s standard for first tier airlines, in particular the headphone jacks which may not work from wear & tear. It’s a hit & miss whether the sound works or not. Obviously mine didn’t on one side this time. Very frustrating if you are on a long flight and there’s nothing you can do if the flight is full.

The only down fall would be that I had to pay for movies and a meal wasn’t included with my flight, but that’s minor. Also, baggage cost me 120.AUD for one bag! I thought that was pretty outrageous for one check in bag. But the pilot was very good and informative as the overall flight was smooth. Thanks again air New Zealand.

We were not able to select our seats and didn’t realize we had received the seat and bag fare. We only received a cup of water and were seated in the next to last row, often overlooked and not acknowledged.

When my passport was renewed, for whatever reason my visa didn’t update. The person at the gate offered to help with the renewal — or said I could do it myself. Since it came down to part of the boarding process, I had her do it. It took about two minutes and she charged me $20 extra for the $20 visa. Your strength is supposed to be customer service. Really? On the plane, the seat bottom had nearly no padding for a 14-hour flight. I sat on the small provided sleeping pillow part of the way.

We normally love to check prices on KAYAK and then book directly through airlines which we thought we were doing in this incident. But after we booked we realized a third-party website – Webjet- would be handling our tickets which resulted in many problems. We ended up needing to change our itinerary in a simple way that would’ve been easy to do through the airline but webjet would not accommodate without spending $2500 in ticket fees. To avoid that we had to book additional tickets and take an additional flight that ended up being cheaper but quite the hassle that took way longer

Because the flight was short, we had no entertainment options offered. I think I’d like flying more if movies were show, even if the whole airplane shows one movie like they used to do. Otherwise, it was a normal flight...nothing memorable. Though, my fiancé did love the granola bars and raves about them after the flight. I didn’t eat mine so I gave mine to him.

In Sydney spent another night in hotel missed fathers 87th birthday. Promised no fees to change return ticket told it was in file and to just call the was no record of that promise when I called overall horrible experience

I never got to Cabo. It took 2 hours for Delta to de-ice the plane in Milwaukee. Because of the long delay we missed the flight to Cabo. We asked Delta to book us on another flight to get us to Cabo today, Delta reps said nothing was available. Delta gave us a discounted coupon for a hotel in Atlanta and rebooked us on a flight to Cabo tomorrow.

Gate crew gave us extra seats to spread out and flight was around comfortable. Really enjoyed in-flight TV options

We normally love to check prices on KAYAK and then book directly through airlines which we thought we were doing in this incident. But after we booked we realized a third-party website – Webjet- would be handling our tickets which resulted in many problems. We ended up needing to change our itinerary in a simple way that would’ve been easy to do through the airline but webjet would not accommodate without spending $2500 in ticket fees. To avoid that we had to book additional tickets and take an additional flight that ended up being cheaper but quite the hassle that took way longer

Boarding calls and process seemed a little disorganized. No in-flight entertainment system, only boy device, but with no ability to charge in-flight, battery length became a problem on a 3 hour flight.

On time flight arrival

Baggage Claim was very disorganized. They indicated bags were to be picked up at a carousel that was under construction. When we went to the service desk, they directed us to another carousel which was incorrect. There was no announcement made and there was a delay in updating the baggage claim board.

The overhead bin did not stay down low enough so that I could place my bag in. It would lower then before I could place my bag raise slightly by a few inches. For someone of my height (5’5”) that was problematic. Fortunately another passenger saw my dilemma and held the bin lower to its full opening capacity. This also momentarily slowed down the boarding process.
