She radioed my #s in. Then told me it's still in Melbourne . A security issue. Now I'm about to miss my conecting flight. Don't worry you can catch the next one. At night, it's 8 am. Then only to find out I'm to go from terminal 1 to 3. Had 10 min. together there and go threw customs. Ran with injured knee."

Cons: "The agent cabin crew member who forgot to help us with our seaating"
Pros: "Food on Qantas is better than domestic U.S. carriers and it's nice to still experience good service."
Cons: "It is frustrating that most airlines never leave on time anymore. They should be required to pay each passenger $50 for every 15 minutes they are late. It's also terrible that seats have become so cramped. My biggest fear is to drop something at my feet because then I can never reach it. Sigh."
Pros: "The crew was very helpful and friendly. The food was plentiful and mostly delicious. Every attempt was made to make the trip as comfortable as possible."
Cons: "The economy Seating area is very small for such a long trip."
Pros: "Great flight. Staff very friendly. Good food too!"

Cons: "went i couldn't use my Qantas membership to access Melbourne lounge"
Cons: "Seats too closely squashed together Screen faulty towards end of flight Tried unsuccessfully to check in online - did not get an aisle seat which I specifically requested all along"
Pros: "Great selection of entertainment. Good pillows."
Cons: "They let us know by email little before departure that there would be a delay of 1h 15 min in our arrival to London. This made me uneasy from the very beginning that I would lose my London-Luxembourg flight. The crew in the boarding gate, only after much insisting, said they would make a note so that someone from Qantas would wait for me and help me get my London-Luxembourg flight no problem, but in the next stopovers (Melbourne, Dubai), there was no sign of this. Also, the delay in the end was 2h 20 min - and I lost my flight to Luxembourg."
Pros: "Quantas is great, great food, staff, seats were pretty roomy. Entertainment options were very good."
Cons: "American Airlines. Tiny seats, bad customer services, no entertainment on board, so loud you can't even sleep."
Cons: "Poor boarding procedure in Melbourne. Delay badly handled, missed important connection. Business class inflight entertainment dos not work!"
Cons: "All round excellent"
Pros: "I cannot thank the Qantas staff enough for our recent, very smooth trip from Melbourne to Dubai. I was a little worried about the 14 hour trip since I am 7 months pregnant and wanted to be sure I had enough room to move about as needed. Both the desk and plane staff arranged for my husband and myself to have 4 seats to ourselves (luckily, it wasn't a full flight!) which allowed me to rest and put my feet up (literally!) through our long journey. They also checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable throughout. Thanks so much Qantas, we will definitely be traveling with you again with our little one in tow!"
Cons: "can not think of any."
Cons: "Minimal food and drink service."
Pros: "Boarding on time. Crew attentive."
Cons: "Needs better, current movies"
Pros: "Emma on board staff was friendly and professional"
Cons: "I understand planes are late in and late to leave but the QANTAS staff just get worse at communicating and unapologetic."
Pros: "Staff were great, comfortable seats, great movie selection. Food was so-so. The panini bread was a bit chewy/stale, and the fish was tasteless. But overall the flight was great."
Cons: "The food. See above."
Pros: "The crew were friendly"
Cons: "I paid $60 for an emergency exit row for more legroom but I was seated next to a giant who spread over onto my armrest forcing me to lean towards the aisle. Not his fault - he was just too big for a single seat! Food has deteriorated to a cardboard box of slop. Entertainment options were extremely limited in comparison to other carriers. Noisy aircraft, poor quality headsets (I'd inadvertently packed my NC headphones in checked luggage)."
Cons: "The entertainment screen stopped working twice and I had to ask the crew to fix it for me twice. They were helpful and fixed it, but it was a bit of a hassle."
Pros: "Great check in, comfy plane, with arm rests that go fully up, even when the plane is taking off and landing."
Cons: "The lamb meatballs with couscous was the worst tasting thing I've ever eaten on a plane ever."
Pros: "check in, boarding, and baggage claim was relatively quick"
Cons: "online check in did not work at 9pm before the flight- i was unable to select a seat woman at the check in counter was not friendly. i also asked if it was possible to have a window seat and she said " i dont think there are any available" *prints boarding pass* rather than "let me check" *checks seats* food options were limited- in past experiences with qantas i wouldve assumed meal was chicken or beef and a vegetarian option. this flight was fish pork or beef. fish and pork are polarizing proteins for many people. fish is also malodorous."
Cons: "Movie choices are not as many as Qatar or Emirates business class."
Pros: "Quite transpatent on the issue before taking off, was appreciated :)"
Cons: "Some engine issue before take off ..."
Pros: "I was glad they 'dimmed' the lights to encourage an atmosphere conducive to sleep and to prepare us for the change in time zones. I also appreciated the many bottles and glasses of water that were offered to keep us hydrated. Several different snack options were offered throughout the trip, if one was hungry."
Cons: "The flight boarded and departed a little late so this made connections a little tight at the other end. The floors in the toilet were usually damp from splashes and handwashing. Maybe this is already done, but it would be nice if they were wiped down periodically. Crying children are often a problem on airplanes and this was the case again on this flight. Not sure of a solution but they do affect everyone nearby."
Pros: "The food was absolutely incredible for such a short and domestic flight. The in-flight entertainment app was also amazing."
Pros: "The food was very nice. Even though there was no choices given, I really enjoyed what was offered."
Cons: "There wasn't too much I didn't like. Staff could have been a bit more friendly perhaps, but overall a very enjoyable flight."
Pros: "cabin staff better"
Cons: "toilets appalling"
Pros: "Upgraded to busienss 5 of us together"
Pros: "The servic ed was great. One thing was that if you ar ed asleep they don't wake you up f I really your meals. I was hungry and found other passengers who were awake were eating but when I sat up di d not find anyone to ask for any food. I am a diabetic and it was hard waiting all that time u nail breakfast was served. Other than that I would say I was exrrem ed l g happy."
Cons: "On arrival I need Los Angeles I was taking down my hand luggage and my luggage hit th ed left side of my facell knocking off my diamond earing (silver gypsy). I waited until all passengers left and looked for I t bu t was not able to find it. I ed vendors had help from the flight attendants but we did not find it. If you could put it out there to return this to meveryone I woul d be eternally grateful. Please."
Pros: "Entertainment fine"
Cons: "Seats crowded Got sick after one of the meals"
Pros: "Excellent food and snacks, great service for the most part, and attendants seem to actually enjoy their jobs. This flight would have felt much longer with poor service."
Cons: "One flight attendant near the kitchen area was quite noisy and seemed rushed and a bit rude, but the others were very lovely and courteous."
Pros: "Seats in economy were relatively comfortable. The ice cream was nice"
Cons: "Service was hit and miss - they would forget to bring things that had run out. Some iPads didn't work. Food was not that nice."
Pros: "Boarding was quick, efficient and orderly. Crew was great, friendly and helpful. A short flight so food consisted of a cookie that was not great. Read a book so did not pay attention to entertainment options."
Cons: "The cookie"
Pros: "A380 is obviously a wonderful jet to fly; it's very quiet and is usually equipped with state-of-the-art entertainment, so it's great for long haul flights. If you are lucky enough to get a couple of seats free next to you, you can even lie down and sleep."
Cons: "The cost cutting at QANTAS has become painfully clear though, with the in-flight experience. The food was terrible, the staff gave me a plastic water bottle which I was then to keep and refill at the water station myself (no fresh bottled water), they didn't come to collect rubbish, except after meals, throughout an entire 14 hour flight, and the seat pockets were very small, meaning I ended up with a lot of stuff poking into my knees - not very comfortable."
Cons: "Malfunctioning video. Old tiny screens."
Cons: "Poor seating, a critical issue on long flights. I was one of two people on the entire jumbo jet that was seated in the middle seat of a full row. Other rows were empty."
Pros: "Crew was AMAZING. Food great. Both much better than the flight over."
Cons: "Biggest plane in the world and still no room for a 5'4" woman."
Pros: "I really liked the costant food, snacks and water being offered through out the flight. I also appreciated the customer support when Quantas was forced to change my flight plans."
Pros: "Crew was good, seat was tight."
Cons: "Was sitting next to a drunk guy, but was Ok, he slept most of the way. Police and paramedics met him at arrival. Caused some delays. Not Virgin's fault."
Pros: "Seats reclined comfortably but were definitely cramped & crew was pleasant. I got my first choice on meals in both economy x while sitting in the front while headed to Oz and regular economy when sitting in the back on the way home."
Cons: "Only one drink service included, which came with the first meal. The rest of the options were water throughout the flight until breakfast when juice or coffees and teas were offered. Entertainment was a little dated, including HBO series from the early 2000’s rather than newer shows. Flight was an hour late without explanation & there wasn’t the starry night sky that I heard so much about. Overall I’d fly again if it was a good flight deal but I wouldn’t specifically seek the airline out when planning another trip."
Cons: "No organization in check in process. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. No control over situation."
Pros: "It was efficient. Crew pleasant."
Cons: "Basic service"
Pros: "Comfortable seat"
Cons: "Lack of communication - flights to and from Brisbane to Sydney 2/3 hours late in departure."
Pros: "I missed the connection in Sydney to get to Cairns… So, still waiting to board the last leg of the flight. The airport in Sydney was really busy and it just took a while to go through customs, and baggage claims etc.."
Pros: "Good smooth flight and fine service."
Pros: "Easy access from both front and back of plane."
Cons: "Stewardess got frustrated with my son ( almost yelling at him) instructing him to open the shade after the flight ended speaking Chinese to him. Though my son is half Asian, he doesn't speak a word of Chinese, she should have started with English !!! It was a flight from Australia for god sake."
Cons: "Nice people but the seats are close so very tight fit for anyone over 5"5'"
Pros: "Flight attendants were pretty good but not great"
Cons: "I had garbage that I tried to get rid of and the attendant told me to hold on to. I had to board the plane from outside and go up steps with my carry on."
Pros: "The plane was spacious, the food was good, the service was beyond expected. One of the best overseas aircraft I have been on. Seats were comfortable and spacious. I liked the movie choices & that you offered headsets, masks, ear buds and blankets."
Pros: "My bag arrived with me and was first on the belt."
Cons: "Shuttle bus at SYD delayed by construction. No entertainment system on flight."
Cons: "We were delayed transferring because of the Virgin bus being infrequent getting passengers between the international and domestic terminal and almost missed our flights. There was confusion trying to get our bags checked in as they were fast tracking people whose flights were after ours but not us. Then it was awkward being late and last on our connecting flight with everyone glarring at us."
Pros: "Wonderful staff, always smiling even though they were exhausted!"
Cons: "Too many kids. The child seated by me kept kicking me and climbing on me during the whole 13.5 hour flight. His parent did nothing. I had a 20 hour layover in Sydney arranged after the flight was booked due to changes."
Pros: "Plane is new, well kept"
Cons: "7kg limit for carryons is complete bollocks Going down a flight of stairs, across the tarmac, and up a flight of stairs to get on and off the plane reminds me of Propeller days, not 737s. Inflight entertainment: no displays. BYO smart phone and make sure the VA app is pre installed Cup of Soda is $3. Tried to add a 5th piece of luggage, but because it was booked through Kayak, I had to pay $70 a bag. (Blocked from adding bags) Overall: don't book using Kayak. Use VA site. And do homework before you pack."
Pros: "Helpful staff"
Cons: "Kids spilling drinks on me, no entertainment, no wifi"
Pros: "Not much to like, price was good, that's the only plus"
Cons: "Food is terrible, no entertainment, no blankets or pillows, simply best described as "basic"."
Pros: "Spacious seats with a LOT of leg room. Very friendly crew"
Pros: "Virgin does a great job for a great price. Having Resided in the USA for 12 years I've flow many times across the pacific on each of the airlines and I can confidently says they are lightyears better than any of the American Airlines. On my return trip from Sydney I had hit some extraordinary traffic and it took 2hrs to get to the airport in what is usually a 40min drive. This resulted in me arriving less than 1hour from the flights departure time, the checkin staff did what they could to keep me on the flight as planned. Staff in all areas were great, it always a fresh breath of air when I board a virgin Australia flight, so different than traveling in the US of A...."
Cons: "The Food on Virgin Australia is ok. From the United States to Sydney it was average, on the return leg the quality was much better. They served 2 meals and a mid-flight snack. Their snacks and water station Mid plane is a very welcome touch on the long haul flights. Perhaps one more pass with the full drinks cart will help them join the heavyweights at Qantas."
Pros: "Mostly everything"
Cons: "The seats were a bit cramped."
Pros: "Free wine"
Cons: "The plane was delayed. Why. Not quite sure."
Cons: "Water was the only complimentary drink. And no peanuts or pretzels were included."
Pros: "Plenty of food. Seats a good size , my husband is 6ft 5in and the economy seats were more comfortable than other airlines. The crew werer pleasant and helpful."
Cons: "The movie selection wasn't particularly great."
Pros: "Good food, quick flight, we had a fair amount of space"
Cons: "The hostess forgot to give us drinks and didn't even remember after everyone had been served"
Pros: "overall excellent service"
Cons: "Check-in process was terrible; all automated and designed to suck additional funds from your wallet. "Food" was toy-sized, and every beverage except tea, water and coffee costs extra. I'm going back to Qantas."
Pros: "Whole row to myself"
Cons: "Turbulence and I slept through to beverage/snack service"
Cons: "Breakfast was sub-par (bad frittata, beans and fatty bacon rasher). Fewer movie selections on inflight entertainment compared to previous USA-Australia trips."
Pros: "Hostess smile everytime"
Cons: "Virgin Australia staff were extremely unhelpful when I called from Sydney (20+hrs before landing in LAX) to find alternative flight to JFK due to snow. Their inability to rectify the situation on the spot resulted in all outbound flights to LA being full by the time I landed in LAX and a subsequent 3-day stay in LA… hence missing my wedding anniversary. Thankfully my husband purchased the first available ticket at US$1,000 and was able to get me back to NYC in time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I am extremely disappointed that Virgin Australia did not amend the flight when I first called - staff in LA further reinforced that Syd ground staff should have been more helpful. On top of all of this I had to pay US$120 for excess baggage due to 20kg restrictions - what international flight only allows 20kg. All in all this has been an extremely disappointing experience and I will not be flying virgin for any further international trips."
Pros: "On time and smooth"
Cons: "nothing specific"
Pros: "cheese and tomato SW"
Cons: "too many yuppies"
Cons: "No complimentary food, no entertainment, rude flight attendant"
Pros: "The flight crew was very attentive even w/ a full cabin. The flight itself was uneventful. On board entertainment made the 13+ hour flight less miserable. For economy class I felt like the amount of leg was generous."
Cons: "I food was not spectacular but it was adequate. My expectations for economy class are never high so I don't really feel this is a negative it was as expected."
Pros: "Like Virgin Australia's inflight entertainment app which works on board."
Cons: "Long lines for baggage drop in Sydney Domestic airport. That airport needs some improvement."
Pros: "It was a very welcoming experience from the flight crew"
Pros: "...we still arrived only 20 minutes late. The cabin crew was friendly and very efficient. I hardly waited at all for my bags."
Pros: "Flight was perfect, just a hassle with check-in."
Cons: "VERY long lines to drop our bags for check-in."
Pros: "The crew was very friendly and competent. The seats are fine but there is very little room to store anything within reach."
Cons: "Changed my flight at last minute and put me on a much later flight."
Pros: "everything else fine"
Cons: "Very long lines to check in"
Pros: "The flight was dine check in atbausney airport a mihhate"
Pros: "Bumpy but I guess VA can't do much about that. Everything else was perfect. Thank you"
Cons: "I have a disability and they damaged my electric scooter which I use to get around. They expressed no concern at all and told me they took no responsibility for damage to anything they carried."
Pros: "Hassle free no worrying about re arranging your bags or anything, they were friendly and everything was a breeze."
Pros: "We traveled business class. So everything except the IPad entertainment was first rate."
Cons: "Absolutely awful customer service and accommodations"
Pros: "The crew was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Loud and noisy flight. With it being a red-eye I thought they should make an effort to quiet the plane down."
Pros: "I appreciated that the plane was on time at both ends the attendants were on cue throughout the flight."
Pros: "Friendly service, nice leg room in front row"
Cons: "Flight was changed to New Zealand Air, and i was not informed. Checked bag was now $120 NZD charge instead of free... on an international flight! Also had to pay to watch a movie."
Pros: "Good crew, very friendly. Went above and beyond to find a passenger at baggage claim who left something on board."
Cons: "Boarding was very delayed."
Pros: "Arrived ahead of schedule"
Pros: "Seat was comfortable."
Pros: "Friendly staff."
Cons: "Flight was a reward booking from Qantas / emirates miles, and our experience was being pampered on these flights. Jet star budget reward flight was a disapppintment, no food or beverages, or entertainment. Pane was late but with no explanations or updates."
Cons: "Ok so. With ticket purchase you only get a carry on bag in economy. To pay for a checked 15kg bag is $68, but only if you pay ahead of time. If you pay at the counter it will cost you $100. The woman at our gate was completely alone, and clearly frustrated by the situation and kept radio-ing for information about where the rest of her crew was. They are flying 787 Dreamliner now and just squeezing as many people as they can on them. I am a 5’10” female and my knees were hitting the seat in front of me. Want to recline your seat? Go ahead, but the bottom of the seat now slides forward as well to compensate for the lack of space. So if you’re tall like myself, you can’t recline your seat because it forces your knees further into the seat in front of you. Lastly, they have this ‘amazing entertainment service’. It’s $8 to watch a movie or play a game of solitaire. Such a scam. Water is the only drink included and the power outlet in my seat didn’t work. They are exactly what they have always been, but dressed up nicer, cheap and crappy airline looking to make as much money as possible. Won’t be flying with them again. For the money I paid to check a bag plus ticket cost, I could have flown a much nicer airline. will do next time!"
Pros: "Comfortable seats."
Cons: "Pay for everything even water."
Pros: "New airplane"
Cons: "You have to pay for everything. Water wasn't offered during the flight but passengers have to ask for it."
Pros: "Staff were very friendly"
Cons: "For some reason I thought I had extra legroom but apparently not I was squished in between two people in the back of the plane the person in front of me was moving around a lot and hurting and knocking my knees"
Pros: "Extra leg room with upgrade"
Cons: "Seat too close to tiolet"
Pros: "Fix the food menu!!!"
Cons: "Fix the food menu!!!"
Pros: "Had to change planes in Sydney where they tried to charge $80 per bag for extra bags that Melbourne agent had checked in for free."
Cons: "Worst airlines--except for Tigerair. Pay more upfront with Virgin Australia or Quantas. Jetstar will empty your pocketbook with charging for every little extra--no carry on baggage over 7 kilos--if over prepare for up to $80 charge. They claim these charges are for safety and have convinced their employees of this nonsense. Sydney airport has some of the worst wifi in the world."
Pros: "The crew was relatively nice."
Cons: "A lot of crying babies. No food or entertainment included for the 9.5 hour flight."
Cons: "Seats unusually small. Unlikely to fly this airline again"
Pros: "The basmati rice with free range chicken meal was surprisingly really tasty. I usually don't like airplane food, especially when you have to pay extra on board for it, but I was hungry on a 9 hour flight and had to order something."
Cons: "From the moment of boarding the staff seemed stressed out and over it. Not very friendly, especially when disembarking the plane in Honolulu. They didn't offer goodbyes or thank yous to passengers as we got off the plane."
Pros: "Food was nice although expensive. Crew was great. the auto tinting Windows was nice."
Cons: "We were so dehydrated after such a long flight. The little cups with only a few sips with your meal is not enough. More water! Comedy options for movies were just bad. Our seats would not stay reclined. Painful sitting/sleeping on such a long flight. Jetstar is supposed to be a budget airline but they really aren't cheaper after they nickel and dime you and then bring out the long sword on the cost of luggage. The 7kg allowance per person on board with no option to purchase more was really hard for us - 2 adults and a baby - and the diaper bag is counted as part of your 7kg, unlike flying in the US. We had 7-8 hr layovers in cool weather."
Cons: "Jetstar is the worst airline around. Its absolutely ridiculous that they charge you 10X more for checked luggage at airport check-in. When I booked my flight 5 months in advance, I didn't see the option of buying luggage (and also didn't think it mattered at the time because normal airlines like Delta, United, etc. charge the same rate no matter when you decide). Thank goodness I knew to buy luggage before getting to the airport but was still charge $60 AUD (when it would have only been $35 if I did it when I originally booked). And it would have been over $150 if I waited for the airport. WHO THE F CARES WHEN I DECIDE TO CHECK A BAG??? YOU STILL HAVE TO GO TO THE COUNTER NO MATTER WHAT. Jetstar is such a low class airline. Then they wanted to weigh my carry-on which was 9kilo (2k over the limit)... full of all camera gear. The guy literally started yelling at me, made me feel so uncomfortable, and my eyes began to water. He was screaming to another woman in front of everyone that I was WAY over the weight limit and was to be charged $210. He was extremely aggressive. (This was a moment I wish I would have whipped out my phone and took a video... would have gone viral). The woman wasn't any better either. At first she was really aggressive and I hadn't said a word. I just watched them react as if I brought a weapon. She raised her voice at me yelling about the stupid luggage being too heavy.... and at that point I told her that she needed to lower her voice and talk to me like a human (let alone a customer). At that point she did realize that she was being ridiculous and lowered her voice (I might even give her the benefit of the doubt and say the guy may have rattled her). I explained to her that I was carrying expensive camera gear and batteries (which you cannot put in checked luggage) and that I'd be happy to put it in the checked bag (especially since I had extra kilos that I hadn't used). She said I would need to sign a waiver exempting them from being responsible if anything was stolen from my bag. I politely said absolutely not. If you cannot get my luggage to my destination safely then I would happily not get on the plane and walk over to the Air New Zealand desk and buy a ticket. At that point she looked me up and saw how much I flew with them and then decided to let me on the plane. Which mind you, the plane was 75% EMPTY. After all that. Geez. Never again Jetstar. Never again."
Pros: "Few crew members who went out of their way to ease our frustration"
Cons: "Surprise expenses Most people who buy directly through the Jetstar website add baggage allowance. You don't get this option when buying on Kayak. Poor connection and wait time The long layover was annoying, and proved costly, too. You need to buy a Visa in Australia if your layover is longer than 8 hours. Kayak doesn't warn you about this, and so you have to collect your baggage, go through customs, and buy a Visa. In sum, Kayak shouldn't allow you to purchasing strings-attached tickets from this airline."
Pros: "Nothing, I would never ever travel on JetStar again! Never!!!!!"
Cons: "Most every thing but mostly the baggage allowance rip off!!!!!!"
Pros: "Didn't crash"
Cons: "Misleading baggage policy cost additional $150 for a single bag at check in. Agent unwilling to find a different fare / baggage rate. On board they charge everything. Seats uncomfortable, felt passenger behind knees into my back. Overall terrible, cheap airline."
Cons: "There are no complimentary snacks. Also, we had to pay for the movies. I wish the entertainment was free like on all other airlines."
Cons: "Charged $285 for 1 checked bag! Wow. SCAM"
Pros: "The plane was relatively new."
Cons: "Boarding was late. Food selection was poor Entertainment choices were slim And obviously charging for luggage and food sucks."
Pros: "On time and effective plenty of room with extra seat"
Pros: "I am still in denpasar"
Pros: "787 is great. But reserve exit row"
Cons: "pay for water"
Cons: "Gate agent assumed we didn't speak English so she re-assigned us from an exit row to the back if the plane. Agent didn't ask us if we spoke Eng (we are native Eng speakers). When we realized what she was doing, she was surprised that we spoke Eng but continued to re-assign us. Extremely poor service. Will not fly Jetstar again."
Pros: "Jetstar provided a NZD25 voucher to all passengers for the disrupted flight."
Pros: "The check-in woman was a gem! Due to Australia's strict carry-on policy - one item, period - I had to repack my luggage, which contained a fragie printer that had been in my carry-on when I could have it AND a computer bag. The Jet Star allowed two checked pieces, and the agent gave me all the time I needed to make the changes. She then marked the bag fragile, and sent me to the oversize/fragile bay with it. It arrived in PNG rattled, but working normally. The woman was a peach!"
Pros: "The plane was nice and spacious, crew was friendly and captains were apologetic for all of the inconviences."
Cons: "The aircon was out the entire flight due to maintenance related issues that weren't fixed. We left an hour late and arrived an hour late also based on these issues."
Pros: "They made room for me on the next flight"
Cons: "Everything - they texted me telling me that the flight was delayed, and then I arrived at the gate and told me it left an hour earlier. I have text messages to prove that it was scheduled at 1:30pm, the plane left at 12:35pm and I had already checked in, checking in my suitacase, and the flight left without me and took my suitcase - absolutely ridiculous."
Cons: "Lack of communication So cheap and stingy they give Scrooge A run for his money."
Pros: "We were on our way from syd to bali and just before we reached ocean we turned around and headed back toward Melbourne. As upset as we were about that situation they were extremely accommodating. They said the Landon strip in Bali had broke so we couldn't land. They Bieber, gave us free coffee, tea and juices and gave us all free onboard entertainment. When we got to Melbourne they had set up free shuttle server and out us all up in a very very nice suite and gave us a voucher for breakfast which was more than enough! Then on our way back to bali they again gave us all free onboard entertainment. Very nice! Loved it!"
Cons: "Didn't like that they took so long to tell us about the problems on the landing strip. I thought we were being hijacked!"
Pros: "I liked the convenience of the airport and getting on the flight."
Cons: "I didn't like that there are a lot of hidden fees with Jetstar. I didn't realize you needed to purchase bags for the flight and was unpleasantly surprised when we got to the airport and were told it was going to be $160 to get our bags on our flight and that if we would be paid for it a day before it would have been substantially cheaper. Also, nothing was provided for free on the flight-not even water or the entertainment for a 6 hour long flight."
Pros: "Cheap fare"
Cons: "Restricted carry on weight limit"
Pros: "Horrible airline. Can't understand the reservation people. Misleading on what you are paying for. Worst airline I've ever seen. Fly Virgin, which is much better."
Cons: "All the customer phone people speak in heavy accents you can't understand. Airline makes false statements on its website. Awful company."
Cons: "No entertainment or food at all even for long flight, all is sold individually. Even for really old movies you are charged, tv or anything at all!"
Pros: "The service was good, the staff were friendly"
Cons: "I was told I'd have a window seat for the flight and I had an aisle seat."
Pros: "Nothing. Had to to purchase a mother ticket. Details below."
Cons: "In my line of business being a CEO for an Inc 500 company, I know that my clients / customers make accidental mistakes (accidents) when ordering items. It's what you do with those mistakes will turn someone into a brand loyaltist or someone that will write a negative review such as this. 100% booking failure on my part. Fully admit it to. I had the right time, location and day of week. What was incorrect was the week of travel. I accidentally booked the following week instead of this week. Whoops. Mistakes happen. Immediately called airline ad notified of mistake. 40 minutes later they wanted to charge me $700+ in change fairs turning me into a person that leaves negative reviews as this is my first one in all of my time. I don't usually have time to do this because I am a CEO and constantly flying, educating, handling clients, personnel, etc that I feel I should be treated the Same way as I treat my customer. From an explatorory trip to Sydney and then Sunshine Coast to determine the next location of my company, i do know for fact that I will be flying quantis or Virgin if problem is not corrected. tim"
Pros: "Economical and value for money"
Cons: "We couldn't check in until an hour before boarding and weren't allowed to take the 2 carry-on bags each as advertised. Had to repack quickly to get the things that had to be hand carried (CPAP's, cameras, medicines, etc.) into the backpacks and then got charged $28/bag for the 2 bags that should have been carry-on. Unimpressed."
Pros: "Courteous staff, smooth boarding. Enjoyable flight."
Cons: "We left 20 minutes late due to the late arrival of the plane from a previous destination. Our row (11) seats did not recline, I guess due to the Exit row behind us."
Pros: "The crew was efficient"
Cons: "I wasn't aware JetStar operated on a "budget" airline level worse than that of a second world country airline. Were there alcohol, movies, terrible food, bottled water, and pillows available? Yes. Did JetStar take every opportunity to charge customers for any and all services? Yes. Perhaps I should have rearranged my expectations, knowing that this was a "budget" line, but their fees for additional services were worse than AirAsia."
Cons: "Baggage gouging, terrible customer service, long lines."
Pros: "Jetstar had great ticket prices, but if you don't prepay to check bags or get decent food, you'll be nickeled and dimed. $160 to check one bag if you don't prepay! And you can only carry on 7 kilos which is about 15 pounds, which isn't much. Otherwise, the crew was really nice and the seats pretty comfy and a nice, new plane."
Pros: "speedy boarding"
Cons: "flight was delayed, baggage policy wasn't clear"
Cons: "I can see why this airline is called a low cost carrier! The boarding agents to flight attendants were extremely rude. The F/A were yelling at customers and locked the restrooms. On top of it, everything has to be purchased before hand if not, they would charge you even more at the time of requesting it (from baggage weight to sodas to blankets). This is a newer aircraft and it was filthy. The toilet seat would not stay up, mold noted on the vents, and something was splattered above the window panels. I would not recommend this airline to anyone!"
Pros: "The plane itself was really nice"
Cons: "The ticket counter process was subpar. We got to the airport over two hours before our flight and stood in line to check in for over a hour. We had to rush to get through security just to get to our flight. I was not able to check into my flight via mobile phone, which is a huge inconvenience. I'm also used to flight attendants coming through to offer items for purchase. It just seems like if you didn't prepurchase any food through them, they don't really care about you. I know it's a low cost airline, but they really do nickel and dime you for everything and the cost of check in bags are pretty pricey. If I ever go back to Sydney, I'll probably just pay the extra money and go Hawaiian or Qantas."
Pros: "I'm still trying to get carry on luggage. they weighed it in Honolulu and said it was fine but the stewardess in Sydney said she could tell it was too heavy by just picking it up. Still don't have it"
