Sichuan Airlines was surprisingly great. The crew is fabulous, the plane was fantastic and nice and new (A350-900). I had a particularly nice flight attendant who kept me informed of all the flight progress and meals. I also got to sleep really well. Entertainment and food is more tailored to majority (Chinese) so I can’t really complain about that. Overall fantastic flight!
Very old business class seats, not fully flat, angled with a bar sticking in your back; seats old and apparently never cleaned, no mattress topper either, not the standard expected in J (also in awful 2-2-2 layout)! Ancient entertainment system of the pop-out type with tiny, old screen. Staff are OK but not proactive, need to be solicited, and of limited English skills, but they do try. Food and beverage options very limited (go for Chinese selection as their Western food is atrocious), no menu given and no dine-on-demand option. All in all, only choose if at a significant discount.
Definitely not top-of-the-range business class, but the A350 is certainly better than their other planes which feature an even older business class. Food/drink offerings are very limited and not up to business class standard, but OK. Staff are keen to help and friendly enough, although poor English language skills. Boarding experience in Rome was poor due to rude Italian staff at gate, but this is not the airline's fault. Onboard entertainment options are mediocre and limited. Sichuan Air is only wort it when obtained at low price and if you basically only want to sleep/rest and bring your own entertainment.
Not sure who to "blame" but I booked the ticket from SiChuan airline overseas. On the day of flight at the airport, I learnt that our passport information was not entered into the system. I was told by the SiChuan airline that this is not the first time that ticket booked overseas missing ID information. Since airport ticket counter does not have authority to add ID information, we have to call SiChuan airline customer service, Luckily, we arrived at the airport early enough to handle this and SiChuan airline customer service has been very helpful.

We were taking the flight MU 8649 from Shanghai to Osaka and the original boarding gate was 20 and we didn’t receive any notification or broadcast about gate changes, and by the time we missed the original boarding time we check thr electric board and realized the gate was changed to 208 Also the flight was delayed by almost an hour and the crew member didn’t provide any explanation, after we finally boarded the aircraft was very hot, the crew member told me the air conditioning was not working and tried to calm passages down by offering iced water, all of us sat in the aircraft for another 40 mins before it finally took off
Poor seats. Not helpful crew. The food was awful.overall very very bad experience. Traveled with the family of 5

In my return flight they couldn’t identify my ticket or boarding pass, I had to go to 3 different counters until I was able to get my boarding pass. The food was on, it was the bear minimum. They didn’t even recognise that I was a Muslim and can’t eat meat, chicken or pork. In one of the trays I believe they served me pork. The staff were very pleasant, but they need to be aware of their surroundings more carefully, one of them stuck her lower belly right into my face! I was shocked and very uncomfortable.
Overall I had good experience with China Southern airline. Nothing to claim. I hoped they could improve the meal quality that is.

The airport didn‘t give me the ticket. I called customer service to ask for a refund but they kept giving me a perfunctory response and refused to refund me.

During flight, some passengers perform stomping leg exercises which disturb the comfort (I.e. sleep) of other passengers.

Very friendly and attentive flight attendants, good food service. Seat was comfortable. However, the in flight electronics were poor. The screen froze repeatedly; the controller died; the headphones are a hit or miss; the wifi wasn't usable. Very scarce communication before the flight (no email reminder). Almost impossible to understand in-flight communications (audio was very poor).
The meals were not the greatest and lacking of appetite but everything else was spot on
Overall, excellent: check-in, boarding, service, and food. The Business Class seating is a little less private and spacious than the world's premier airlines, but still very good for a long haul flight.

Your staff was exceptional. Could teach the other airlines-rules on etiquette, and service. Excellent landings on flights, carried out by your pilots. Only complaint is long delay on return flight in Beijing, onto Vancouver.
I hate that you cannot check in online and when you are at the airport, there aren't any aisle seats left. Also, they could work a little on subtitles for their movies (not everyone is a native English speaker).
Nothing to complain of, the only reason I am not giving better marks is that I am used to flying with ANA and they are the top.
Communication between the captain/crew and the passengers needs to be improved.
Chinese flight attendants didn't speak english well. They didn't care enough to remember that I (east asian who isn't Chinese) wasn't Chinese and spoke English. Announcement in english on board was poor and I find it very difficult to understand what was announced. Also, a cabin bag allows only 5kg!
Suck! Sat in plane on the tarmac (hot) over 2 hours
This was my first time ever flying China Eatern and it will not be my last. I was very satisfied with my whole experience and trip. Thank you very much and until soon.
The flight was delayed. The staff made us wait in the room that is too small and it was crowded and with no seats available for waiting. They did not tell us why the delay occurred.
While boarding at PVG, there was a ticket checking at the gate, then there was another ticket checking at the bottom of the escalator, which created quite a dangerous congestion. Not sure which idiot made this absolutely unnecessary arrangement.

I was traveling alone with an infant, so the crew was incredibly helpful. Both the international and subsequent domestic flights were impeccable.
Plane was good. But food was bad and air host was so rude. I will never fly with China Eastern again
The ticket was last minute buy so no concerns about the pricing this time, but the crew in general could have been more accommodating, helpful.
Super surprised with the entire experience. Business class is incredible. Flight attendants around the world could learn customer service from these people. Simply fabulous experience all the way around.
Multiple delays, with no explanation. Caused us to almost miss our connector. The airline made no effort when we arrived in Shanghai to help us make it to our next flight with the same airline.
