Nothing major, just not as great as my previous experience with this airline."

Despite the line (of several hundred people), the staff appeared to have no urgency about moving customers through the check-in process, and at one point two of the the three workers quit working, packed up and left. Replacements arrived five minutes later and took another five to ten minutes to set-up before helping customers - leaving one agent for the overflowing line. Total wait time for check-in alone was over 1 hour."

I am a 56 y/o woman, was not fun. When I arrived in Cairns at about noon, I found that my bag missed the flight. I was told my bag would be delivered to my hotel in Palm Cove that evening, I received my bag the next morning. The flights into and out of LA were run by Delta, the flight from Sydney to Cairns was VIrgin Australia."

They did make me throw out my beverage upon entered the aircraft that I just purchased, I would assume because it’s a ‘safety issue’ even though the airline does not give complimentary anything so I’m assuming it’s mostly competition of sales.In Gold Coast I checked my bags through security got to the gate and they had a trolly weighing bags. They asked me if I was traveling with someone else which I replied with a no. They then weighed my backpack saying it was 7kgs and I had to come with them to the front. So my backpack personal item and tote bag was too much all of a sudden. I offered to give up the tote bag which then turned the situation into that all of my bags were over weight and it was going to charge me 60$ for my 7kg backpack. I said 60$ was expensive and I paid 20$ last time for my checked bags on the way here that I hadn’t used and he said too bad. Meanwhile the majority of people boarding past me had had rolling luggage and an additional bag or a personal item and when I said something to the employee he told me I’m wrong and they were all weighed and it’s 60$ for my belongings to be checked and put under the plane? Because 60$ somehow made the weight of the flight more light? Horrible customer service. I didn’t get I’m sorry any compassion I got what are you paying with? I paid 60$ or miss my flight. 60$ could have given me one more flight. Also to mention the flight was not even completely full so what did that 60$ accomplish? Awful awful awful . So in the future I suppose I’m just going to donate 20$ regardless if I have checked luggage or not because paying for everything is the only consistent thing on jetstar. On the positive side they let me jump the line after I paid 60$ for my “overweight luggage” and I got to my assigned seat more quickly."

They seem to be cutting corners on safety with their taxiway and parking procedures much like Ryanair. I was swiftly reprimanded for taking some perfectly innocent photos of the plane (like every holiday goer does), because the pilot didn't want any 'trouble'. Whatever the reason for that immediately defensive reaction, it's not a good sign. jetstar has a bad record of safety as we all know."

Also the legroom and arm room is very poor indeed - who did you use as your models, pygmies? Also I was charged $100+ for a date change - but I was SURE I clicked the right date, and even if I didn't, you should have a confirmation screen which confirms what the customer is ordering before they finally approve the order."

As far as I am concerned Jetstar need a watchdog to take this up on travellers behalf. How can a few filos cost that much - when you can book your luggage through for $25.00."
Cons: "I checked into my international flight and had a bag that was within weight limit. The cost for checking said bag is listed at 50.00. The attendant told me I had to pay 215.77 to check my bag. I then pointed out the price is listed as 50.00 on line. The attendant then said if I checked the bag on line, I would only have to pay 50.00. However, since I already showed up to the counter, I could no longer check in on-line and would have to pay a different price. The attendant then changed the boarding time, by moving it up 15 minutes, and said I needed to check in with him now. The cost of checking a normal size bag, on an international flight, was as much as the cost of the plane ticket. I was completely deceived and forced to pay a higher price that went against stated policy. I never agreed to pay the higher price nor did I sign for it… I was just charged that amount. I agree that I should pay a fee for checking a bag. That fee should be the same as everyone else and the fact that I was not allowed to check in on line punished me financially."
