Despite informing a crew member of my medical condition, they made no effort to be careful when they came through the cabin. I thought sitting in the bulkhead right behind first class it would limit the traffic but the aisle was used heavily and with the first class aisle being more inline with my seat than the aisle for the rest of the plane, the attendants literally ran into me constantly causing me much pain."

When my wife rang Virgin to find out why my paid, and confirmed flight did not entitle me to a seat allocation when I checked my bags, she was told it was Delta's fault. When she called Delta they informed her that the flight had been overbooked. All in all a very poor customer service from both Airlines."

Cons: "I tried to pay for an extra bag online the day before we boarded (using an iPad), and the website spit back that "my itinerary did not allow for prepaying for luggage" or something to the effect. So when I arrived at the airport I almost got charged $70 for a carry-on sized extra bag I had some souvenirs in. Not great. Thankfully the person checking me in had mercy when I told her my story and only ended up charging me the $35 online fee, but that was up to her discretion. I really would have been mad to be penalized for not buying ahead of time online when the website wouldn't let me do it."

Cons: "I have put past a lot of things that jetstar airlines have done in the past, including the 140$ that I had to pay to change and pay to rebook or pay to cancel and there were no given supports with credits, so I ended up abandoning the flight altogether losing the money. I flew jetstar from Sydney to Sunshine Coast with my backpack a personal bag and a tote bag. I had previously paid 20$ for checked luggage. Making my total for the flight 80$ no one asked to weigh my bags or questioned them. Making the 20$ extra just disappear? . They did make me throw out my beverage upon entered the aircraft that I just purchased, I would assume because it’s a ‘safety issue’ even though the airline does not give complimentary anything so I’m assuming it’s mostly competition of sales.In Gold Coast I checked my bags through security got to the gate and they had a trolly weighing bags. They asked me if I was traveling with someone else which I replied with a no. They then weighed my backpack saying it was 7kgs and I had to come with them to the front. So my backpack personal item and tote bag was too much all of a sudden. I offered to give up the tote bag which then turned the situation into that all of my bags were over weight and it was going to charge me 60$ for my 7kg backpack. I said 60$ was expensive and I paid 20$ last time for my checked bags on the way here that I hadn’t used and he said too bad. Meanwhile the majority of people boarding past me had had rolling luggage and an additional bag or a personal item and when I said something to the employee he told me I’m wrong and they were all weighed and it’s 60$ for my belongings to be checked and put under the plane? Because 60$ somehow made the weight of the flight more light? Horrible customer service. I didn’t get I’m sorry any compassion I got what are you paying with? I paid 60$ or miss my flight. 60$ could have given me one more flight. Also to mention the flight was not even completely full so what did that 60$ accomplish? Awful awful awful . So in the future I suppose I’m just going to donate 20$ regardless if I have checked luggage or not because paying for everything is the only consistent thing on jetstar. On the positive side they let me jump the line after I paid 60$ for my “overweight luggage” and I got to my assigned seat more quickly."

This was the only hiccup, but the bag check process was unnecessarily expensive, unwieldy, and confusing."

They charge for coffee on board and flight attendants were also rude!! Where is the customer service? Terrible !!"

They seem to be cutting corners on safety with their taxiway and parking procedures much like Ryanair. I was swiftly reprimanded for taking some perfectly innocent photos of the plane (like every holiday goer does), because the pilot didn't want any 'trouble'. Whatever the reason for that immediately defensive reaction, it's not a good sign. jetstar has a bad record of safety as we all know."

We were on an international flight and yet NOTHING was included. They charged for Internet, tv, drinks, food even blankets needed to be pre-ordered and paid for ahead of time. Just awful!"
Cons: "Extremely disappointed in this airline. Got to the airport for my flight from Auckland to Sydney to discover my checked bag for my flight had been canceled on my ticket and then was forced to pay $116 USD to check one bag for a 3 hour flight because of a mistake made by THEIR system! When I asked if there was any other options I was told to make my bag lighter for carry on by abandoning some of my belongings or that I needed to pay the fee. None of the staff was willing to even check if there was any other option or to look into why my baggage allowance mysteriously disappeared off my ticket. God help anyone who can't afford to pay this ridiculous "airport baggage fee", they'll be left stranded. Jetstar is obviously more interested in profits than their customers. I will NEVER fly with this "airline" again!"

Pros: "I liked that Jetstar communicated with me and kept me informed about what was happening with my flights. I liked that the Jetstar staff in Sydney helped me to get a room for the night, the hotel people were helpful and friendly, the shuttle bus drivers were helpful and friendly. I liked that Qantas helped me transfer my Jetstar cancelled flight to QF148, so I was able to fly Auck to SYD. I did like that Jetstar provided free in-flight entertainment to all passengers after the flight form SYD - DPS was dallied 3 hours on departure."
Cons: "I didn't like that my Jetstar flight was cancelled and I missed my connecting flight to Denpasar. I didn't like that I lost a whole day of my holiday due to the flight cancellation, I missed my pick up transfer from DPS airport to my hotel in Ubud late at night, and I was not refunded my night's booked accomodation at my Ubud hotel. I didn't like that I had to go through immigration, pick up my baggage in SYD before I could get to the Jetstar counter to connect with my flight to DPS. because of this delay I missed my connecting flight. I did not like that My one day delayed connecting flight from SYD to DPS was delayed a further 3 hours departing from Sydney."

Cons: "No options for check in baggage when I purchased the ticket online, so baggage cost me $260 at check-in. Agents at the desk were extremely indifferent and borderline rude, overall extremely unhelpful. Airplane interior was dingy, seat cushions were worn down and flat, extremely limited leg space (I cannot stress enough how inadequate the leg space was), no entertainment. No complimentary drinks, not even water."

Cons: "I didn't like that it wasn't clear to me when I booked the flight that if you didn't specify how many Kg of luggage you were taking, then you are charged outrageous prices for all of your luggage - bottom line I had to pay $170 for my luggage. And I was only allowed to carry 7 kg on the plane including my purse, while other people carried on multiple carry-on bags that were obviously much heavier than my 7 kg allowance. I felt totally singled out and ripped off. Boarding was disorganized."

Cons: "Check-in staff at airport seemed overwhelmed, and unable to prioritize. We had to stand in multiple lines - first the kiosk line to check-in, where we got our boarding passes. BUT since we had not pre-checked luggage online, we had to stand in the VERY long regular check-in line to check-in (again) with baggage. Although I asked at the beginning if we could move ahead in line as our flight was boarding within the hour, they refused. So we got about halfway through the line before they called people on our flight to come to the front. Once we got our bags checked we had to go to the customer service line to actually pay the check-bag fee. another long line. Again I asked if we could go to the front because now our flight was boarding in 30 minutes. After initially suggesting that we would be fine, the attendant did help us get to the front of the line. But combining one line for people who have missed flights/need refunds,etc., with a line for people who just need to pay a fee and move on (so they don't also miss their flight) is just poor management. We did make our flight, and it all worked out fine, but overall really unimpressed by the experience."
