Cons: "Everything. Singapore Airlines had a great reputation. Imagine my disappointment. It was a horrible flight. The crew was nice enough, but inattentive. The food, if such a term may be applied here, was inedible. Just vile. In flight entertainment was a complete joke. Boarding was awful, but it always is. Seats were extremely uncomfortable. This racket is the ultimate way to rip somebody off of $1000. Horrible."

Overall a positive experience. As long as you are not connecting-I found the discount offered by Kayak and the customer service to be very good.
Meal definitely May be better as well as games (not at all) Flight attendants were ok- however cannot say that very friendly I loved that there was reasonably enough place for legs and third seats near us was not occupied

Got leg cramps trying to shuffle out sideways stooped over row of seats in front and rear hitting faces of occupants in my row. Refuse to fly on this airline any more until reasonable seat spacing is provided for price paid. Don't like standing up the whole flight because one cannot get into or out of seat."

I will never fly through China again. Maybe it was the mandatory retinal scan just to transfer to another flight or the complete set of fingerprints they require. There are many better and inexpensive flights to Asia if you look.

Cons: "Passengers making a connecting flight to Bangkok (BKK) at Nanjing (NKG) were gathered together, escorted through customs, to baggage claim, to the ticketing counter, and back through customs. One of the passenger had to call out each person from their passport. The process took 2 1/2 hours."

They will make sure you follow directions (i.e. take your headphones off during safety instructions, put your phones away during take off, open/shut the windows at the exact right times). Small trade offs for the value you are getting..."
Pros: "The China Eastern Airlines website is always down. It was impossible although we had seat numbers, they changed our seats numbers and we all had to seat separated, including our 12 years old daughter."

Cons: "Overall comment: It’s supposed to be international flight but I and my family, all US CITIZENS had to check in at SFO in the beginning where the staff was very helpful n did her best n told me that I would have to claim baggage one time in China. We had to claim baggages at Qingdao n drag to find hotel with one security guard’s broken English helping me for directions to potential hotels- no help at all otherwise. In the morning, we checked in with all baggages at Qingdao but they refused to do it all the way to KTM. Very very rude n unfriendly staffs. At Kunming, we dragged all baggages with our tired kids n checked in for the third time in one outbound flight n almost had to go through baggage check for lithium battery with the fact that it was the same baggage passing security in SFO then Qingdao and having no lithium inside. It followed a very very painful scrutiny n security which involved my 10 year old, a lot part of which seemed inexperienced n unnecessary. They took my daughters portable charger simply because it was wrapped with fancy tape"
Pros: "It is a short trip and it is easy to get on and off the flight without too much hassle. Except when it is raining as you have to walk from the terminal to the plane. No Food or Entertainment is provided as it is such a short flight"

They do have screens at the back of each seat but it’s $10 to watch a limited selection. The food and drink are expensive. It gets cold in the plane but you guessed it if you ask for a blanket you have to buy a $20 “comfort pack”. So be prepared!"

The flight, well, as always, the flight was delayed for no reason, no explanations, no apologies, nothing 3. Comfort.... the Airbus A321 is a good airframe, other airlines engage seat manufactures with comfort in mind... nope.. not jetstar 4. Food. What food??? Was there any food?? nope.. there was a bag of nuts and some chips... 5. Entertainment. Well, I had fun listening to the cabin crew moan about passengers, so that was entertaining.. NEVER AGAIN"

Neither the pilot nor the cabin manager made any acknowledgement of our inconvenience ....just "thank you for flying with us". Appalling lack of sensitivity or decency. They are apparently oblivious to their contribution to JetStar's poor reputation. Someone else's fault no doubt!"

Cons: "Bag check was difficult. I neglected to purchase my one bag’s space in the hold either because I forgot or neglected this task. Nevertheless, when I tried to purchase the checked bag, I was misdirected twice and separate scales were 7kilos apart! Thus my “budget airfare” from Sydney to Coolangatta was $94, my checked bag in the other direction cost $124! This was the only hiccup, but the bag check process was unnecessarily expensive, unwieldy, and confusing."
