Also the crew, weren’t properly stocked with anything, not even water. They did their best to work with the lack of supplies and information they were given. Otherwise I felt like I was in a bad version of the twilight zone. And I love that show."
Cons: "Absolutely everything except for the crew listed above. The delay was never informed to anyone until check in- even then the gate’s LCD screen wasn’t even updated with a delay. They said they had to call British airlines to ask them to change the information! No one was allowed into the lounge for a 5 hour delay which is horrible. Considering the airport was under construction and the restaurants all closed an hour before boarding. It was horrible. I missed work because of this and my day rate is 800$ and all I got was a lousy $100 voucher. If Alaska airlines had, I don’t know let everyone into the lounge and provided us with more respect and something in return maybe it would be so bad. But right up to three of the boarding crew (not Danielle) who were YELLING at people. People who were tired and confused. It was the worst experience and I am a global flyer with my company."

I was told that because I was a minute late they wouldn't let me on even though the plane was still in the runway and connected to the terminal. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent disappeared for 10 minutes while the plane took off. I then went to go speak to a customer service agent who wouldn't even look at me while I spoke. She actually started listening to and talking with another agent while I was talking to her. Then when I was finished, she started arguing with me until another agent said "he's not worth it." JetBlue just lost my business."

Cons: "It was requested at the boarding gate in LA that some people volunteer to have their bags checked since the flight was at capacity. So I offered to check my carry-on. When we landed at JFK after a red-eye... our baggage took over an hour since we landed to make it to the carousel. I have never had to wait that long for baggage, and it was especially frustrating when I offered to check and am exhausted from lack of sleep. Baggage should never take that long."

We were given blankets and pillows. The best thing was the ground staff getting rude after all passengers complaining. They were basically saying we should get stuffed since we were booked for a flight next day same day. This is shameful! Needless to say that I will not fly this airline again!"

It is nice that you can play movies for free over WiFi on your phone or tablet (since the in-seat system simply didn't work...), but, bizarrely, the WiFi movie selection was different from (and substantially smaller than) the seat movie selection. What's that about? And the WiFi movie scheme is way more painful than it needs to be, requiring you "check out" movies using your web browser, then switch to a separate app to actually watch the movies. Clearly the product of a company mindset whose ONLY concern is "can we check some box", with absolutely no interest in "how can we delight our customers?""
Cons: "So we get the same entertainment system all these flights use: some ghastly totally non-optimized Linux setup that was rebooted three times during the flight, took 20 minutes for each reboot, and never worked correctly after any of the reboots. (The only movie my system would ever play was the very first one, and none of the on-screen controls worked. The seat next door could choose multiple movies, but each movie froze after 40 minutes). The amazing thing is: why don't they just install a damn iPad mini or Android equivalent in the back of each seat? Would be lighter than what they have today and would work FAR better. You'd need some co-ordinating/provisioning software to provide for OTA announcements and movie updates, but basically it's not that hard... At the very least, hire a Linux-head to optimize your startup scripts! It's just sad to see this 20 minute startup process (all dumped on the screen) with its constant repetition of time-wasting startup steps that just generate errors on this plane's particular hardware setup..."

Cons: "What Irritated me the most about this whole experience was that they waited until everyone had boarded and seated to find a maintenance problem. Credit to them for finding it before takeoff but it should’ve been caught before the plane even left the hangar or when the plane last landed. They said this would be a 15-20 min fix. This was an 8pm flight. 800 became 830, then 9. By 9:00, same problem and I start to wonder if we should switch planes. By 10, they finally tell us that we have to deplane and go to Gate 37 which is on the other side of the terminal. On the way out the flight attendant tells us that we have to hurry up to the other gate because we have to be there by 10:25 to board. I almost wanted to punch him. So we’re there. 10:25 comes and I see the screen turn to 10:40. Around 11, the announcement comes that they’re transferring the food from the other plane to our new plane which further delayed everything. As some kind of compensation, theyleft buckets of snacks and drinks for us prior to boarding as we finally boarded. Finally took off at 12:30. I was so irritated I couldn’t rest on the flight."

Cons: "I missed both meals because I was asleep. I usually get woken up by the flight staff, but this time I just missed them. The first time, I woke up on my own to see everyone finishing their food, so I asked for a meal and I got one; the second time, I woke up to see the trash being collected, but never got a chance to ask for my meal because no member of the flight staff passed me again. I landed in LA at midnight and was starving."
Cons: "Very poor communication with multiple delays. Boarding was 2 hours late, and yet flight was still showing as on time. Then when finally boarded, sat at the gate much longer due to no push back crew. Sloppy and disrespectful of peoles time!"

It started with simply boarding. The lady at the desk was rude about telling me I needed to consolidate my bags. I ended up just checking the carry-on in. We asked one crew member on board if we could throw our trash away and she just seems annoyed. We also asked for ear buds and she never arrived with them simply stating they will offer/hand them out after they come around. She just seemed like she hates her job. Just terrible attitudes. very unpleasant flight."

Pros: "Boarded online. Upgraded to a Comfort seat in and exit row. So wasn't cramped but the entertainment/movie icon happened to be missing from my monitor only. So 5 and a 1/2 flight with nothing to watch. The food tray was also pretty filthy. Otherwise a solid trip. Nice, accomadating crew and with a female pilot! Loved that!"

Cons: "My family and I make I JFK -LAX reservation 4 months ago. We came to LAX three hours before our flight to make sure we get good seats. At the checking kiosk we did not have the option to pick seats , there was a message on the boarding pass that said to go see boarding agent. So we did, appreantly they over booked the trip and they were looking for volunteers to give up their seats!! Why did we have to be on stand by if our booking was confirmed 4 months ago!! They made us wait until the gate was closed and then they found us seats . This trip caused us mental anguish I will never fly American Airlines again"

Cons: "When checking in the staff was so incredibly rude, nonexistent during the whole check in process that it led to several people missing their flights or almost missing it. I had to run around asking for someone to help the long line of people including me who were all in danger of missing their flight because no one was around to help. And then when I finally do get checked in using the now kiosk only option for the plebeian class while anyone above economy gets to talk to real people (way to highlight the class divide guys) I missed my check in time by 5 minutes and was told by the kiosk to find an agent. Then I go running around looking for an agent. I find one and she says you missed your flight. I told her I still have 45 minutes to make it, and she rudely just tells me to get in another line to pay for a new ticket. LUCKILY someone in the priority line saw I was having a problem, a customer not an agent, and she told me to try to talk to someone on her side. After 3 agents told me no one finally told me yes. I made my flight but just by a hair. If the agents would have been around to help or been willing to help me from the moment I spoke to them this would not have been a problem. Thanks for almost ruining Christmas for me. When I spoke to others everyone told me they always have issues with AA. Will never fly AA again."

He chatted with another associate who irritably said "I hate when they do that, I'll go talk to the captain". She came back to the other one and he tore up my ticket and issued me a seat in the last row. When I boarded I mentioned that somehow I went from biz class to that and she retorted in a mocking tone "gee, don't know how that happened". Another passenger mentioned to me that they had given my seat to a gentleman in a blazer that somehow finangled it. Crappy bitchy customer service at the gate."
