The bus eventually came, offloaded half the passengers and then returned 20 minutes later to start to offload the rest. It's the longest time I've ever spend disembarking from a plane and clearing an airport - very poor whoever was responsible (I'm assuming Sydney airport was at fault)."

Upon hearing that the seat was broken, the airline crew offered my mother a check for 100 SGD (14% of the ticket value) to be used on Singapore airlines (for the discomfort caused for over 50% of the flight time). They changed her seat from Seoul to Singapore. When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again."

Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."

To add to the anxiety, we noticed that none of the bassinet seats were allocated to parents with infants. There were at least 3 families with infants and lots of children due to school holidays. But we all had to make do with our cramped seats. Maybe Qantas can plan this better. It isn’t so difficult as they usually know how many infants are travelling, in advance."

Cons: "I am a frequent flyer with QANTAS and a regular customer for many years. Why then do I get the worst seats on the aircraft (last row without reclining). These seats are often assigned to me and they are extremely uncomfortable. I booked a paid fare and did not claim points. My FF preferred seats are mid-plane, aisle. The screen had very poor contrast and it was like watching through cloth. To make it worse the entertainment system had very poor sound with long periods of frozen frames and staccato sound making it difficult to follow the plot. My wife's system (also FF) was the same. Not happy with the "special welcome" given to FF passengers!"

Noisy aircraft, poor quality headsets (I'd inadvertently packed my NC headphones in checked luggage)."

Pros: "Everything! In the past year, I have flown on 9 flights with Qantas between the US and Australia. Each and every every flight has been comfortable and enjoyable. The flight crew is always friendly and accommodating, the food is satisfactory and I've never experienced a delay. Keep up the wonderful service."

Cons: "Boarding is not good, the special assistance counter was just checking in random people and my elderly mother wasn't given assistance until lining up at the departure gate. When finally given priority because she couldn't keep standing in line someone told her to go through but when we did another staff person argued with us and then argued with the other staff who let us through. Very inconsistent experiences and no help for elderly, only babies. Food is not good either, vegetarian meal is not filling just a few vegetables and second main option I was told was noodles but when opened it was western spaghetti with a clump of meat I had to pull apart."

As a handicapped passenger they have the whole wheelchair routine down pat. I like this airline. The food is marginal and on the 1.5 hour flight I would discontinue food service.
