The booking in of the bags meant one of our party missed connecting flight. She arrived at gate while plane was still there and Capt said he would wait but ground staff over-ruled decision. Not happy.

The cabin staff were friendly

Plane was delayed due to excess baggage weight in hull. The baggage had to be unloaded and then reloaded again, while we sat on the tarmac for an hour.

I will never fly Tiger again.

Tigerair gouges passengers for luggage, the website does not clearly explain their policy. While a single 15kg piece of baggage, if paid for on the website, was $13, if paid for at checkin was $72. And whereas a computer cabin bag is everywhere in the world we have flown is allowed in addition to a regular cabin bag without having to pay extra, we had to pay $36 for the computer bag that we had not paid for on the website. And they apply their confiscatory fees at the gate where passengers have no alternatives, their policy is buried in fine print (weasel words), not clearly stated on their website Your website should call out the baggage and cabin luggage fees so that passengers can avoid being ripped off by Tigerair. I shall never fly with them again..

This companies business model is high friction. I ended up with two tickets for my daughter on the same flights as one of their affiliates had problems with their website so it told me I wasn’t successful booking when i later found out the message was wrong. In the interim i booked the small flights on Tiger. I called both companies 4 times got the usual Asian call center responses and finally someone had the guts to tell me they would do nothing about it. Just insane and that’s what you will be if you ignore my advice. My daughter ended up with two flights she could never use and they would not do a single thing to help apart from go through their call center script to keep their jobs. You have been warned. Kayak should never refer people to gotogate.com. They offer similar customer service and would also do nothing.

Everything went smoothly as on earlier experiences. Friendly and helpful staff at airport.

The departure gate was not displayed on the electronic board at the airport until an announcement that boarding was 'commencing' which caused some unnecessary anxiety.

It was a short flight.

Check in at airport quite chaotic, thank goodness for the assistants. However, that's when we found out the need to pay for baggage as carryon is very limited. Quite a hefty fee too. Good thing we brought our own water. Absolutely nothing free on the flight!

Crew were nice,flight itself went off without a hiccup and was fairly fuss-free

Our flight was delayed by approximately 1 hour, and there were few announcements about this until fairly late, and the departure billboards were slow to update too. Also, no armrest on my seat's right arm which was a little less comfortsble that it could have been (window seat, emergency exit row)

Did not even get a glass of water on plane. People get dehydrated flying, Jetstar should always offer water. The flight attendant was very picky, I could not leave my thin fleece tied around my waist.

The flight was fantastic boarding crew were great and the onboard crew were very nice. I enjoyed the onboard wifi and the meal.

I didn't like that my gate and terminal numbers were changed so many times. It messed up the meeting of family. Also I really hate that there is not much leg room.

Magazine on the plane was good.

We had to pay $400 dollars to check 4 bags (2 bags per person). The bags were not overweight or oversized. We were told we had purchased a ticket with no baggage. I am a frequent traveler ( 10 flights in 6 weeks) and have never experienced such charges for baggage. It was not clear at the time of purchase that there were different levels of tickets. The agents at the counter was only interested in maximizing the fees we were charged and not helping us with other options. The plane was late and there was very limited seating in the waiting area, so most people stood for the extra 40 minutes of the delay.

First time on a domestic airline in Australia, I read the information which appeared to say you could bring a 7 kg carry on item and a computer bag and a women could bring a small purse. When we checked in my wife's purse and my laptop in bag were all added as additional weight. So we were forced to pay additional excess weight charges of $50.

Considerate crew on the plane.

Took us 3 attempts to send our 23kg luggage through automated stations due to multiple issues. We did not receive a gate number on the departure boards until 5 mins AFTER we were suppose to start boarding according to our boarding pass, so we had to rush through the airport to make the plane on time. Once we reached the gate with only minutes to spare Jetstar brought out a scale and decided it was time to weight the carry on luggage, anything over 7kg then had to be checked, no opportunity to move items into the bags already check that we had already paid for. Any refreshments on the plane had to be purchased seperately, cheap as!! This experience just felt like they were trying to take your money at every turn. Treat the service like a taxi, point A to point B only and KNOW THIER RULES before you show up otherwise the will screw you over.

Crew were nice,flight itself went off without a hiccup and was fairly fuss-free

Our flight was delayed by approximately 1 hour, and there were few announcements about this until fairly late, and the departure billboards were slow to update too. Also, no armrest on my seat's right arm which was a little less comfortsble that it could have been (window seat, emergency exit row)

Flight time rescheduled meaning we had very little time for connecting flight. Then they checked our luggage in (weighed 8.5kg and only 7 allowed (charged $108). The booking in of the bags meant one of our party missed connecting flight. She arrived at gate while plane was still there and Capt said he would wait but ground staff over-ruled decision. Not happy.

Boarding exceptionally slow due to intensive screening of each passengers hand luggage. Opportunististic for making an extra $36/bag if a gram over 7. Seat unable to recline. Literally not enough room for legs and needed to sit sideways and I’m not that tall!

This companies business model is high friction. I ended up with two tickets for my daughter on the same flights as one of their affiliates had problems with their website so it told me I wasn’t successful booking when i later found out the message was wrong. In the interim i booked the small flights on Tiger. I called both companies 4 times got the usual Asian call center responses and finally someone had the guts to tell me they would do nothing about it. Just insane and that’s what you will be if you ignore my advice. My daughter ended up with two flights she could never use and they would not do a single thing to help apart from go through their call center script to keep their jobs. You have been warned. Kayak should never refer people to gotogate.com. They offer similar customer service and would also do nothing.
