The gate staff did not allow time for him to get to his seat before letting the rest of the passengers board and the staff assisting him were very upset as were the passengers who were wondering what was taking so long to get to their seats."

Crew was uninspired, at best. Lots of shoulder shrugging during any discussion on issues. One even complained about the flight length (we were not delayed). Landed and waited for 10 minutes for jetway to a bus then a 10 minute ride to customs. Good thing they are a near monopoly."

After the security check we were sent outside where buses were driving to claim our checked-in luggage to take it for another check just to drop it one minute later. Anywhere in the world if you board a flight with a stop-over you see your luggage at the final destination, not the case if you fly trough Manila."

In-flight entertainment: limited movie selection, even more limited tv shows selection. Music section was very poor, it needs more selection with variaty, known artists, more radio channels. And music tracks should be in a tracklist form with song information, not only 1 hour-long tracks of back to back music (with no info). Meals - Mains were ok, deserts were terrible in both of my flights. Snacks were also bad, a scone and beef and cheese sandwich. Very blend, white bread only and oily. We weren't served enough bevarages, so oily and high-carb foods made me very thursty. No water fountains, it'd be great to have some around since staff does not give enough beverage and I was forced to chuck my water before boarding the airplane (the water I bought in the airport after passport check!!!!!!!) It was extremely cold."

Pros: "I've always enjoyed the service I receive on Asian carriers. Last night was the first time I have experienced PAL. I had read some not so good reviews so I was skeptical and canceled my first booking. After looking at other options, I discovered PAL's direct flight from Los Angeles to Manila was the best option so I took a chance. From the moment I check in at the ticket counter in Los Angeles until we landed in Manila, I received exceptional service, tasty food and a clean environment. I have flown several Asian air carriers and have had great experiences on them all. PAL delivered the same experience I have come to love when traveling to Asia. I will definitely fly them again."

Nothing more was said until we were now 40 minutes past departure time and the Captain comes on to say we were waiting for a take off slot from the Air Traffic Control!!! No apologies or advice as to what had happened. We finally were on the runway at approx 12 midnight or 1 hr 25 mins late. To top it all I get an email from PAL at 1.56am (I saw this after arrival of course) which said the plane had changed its arrival time to 9.30am - but the departure time remained the same!!! How am I also going to receive an email when I am already flying?? Food was aweful Entertainment system was also aweful - my future flights on PAL will be only a last resort"

Cons: "Seats are very tight and are short on comfort. The "occupied" toilet signs not working causing queues. On meals, forget the things that are impossible to to sustain in a fresh/tasty state, like melon, Tomatoes fried, certain types of sandwich where the bread absorbs any liquid/juice, overuse of rolls. The meals are tested under almost clinical conditions, who ever travels Economy and tastes the food in situ. Put more of the edible foood in. People prefer a single course meal as against a 3 course with dead ends on each side of the main."

Cons: "The security check at the gate requires one to leave the comfort of the lounge early incase of queues and then wait in an over crowded lounge with the other passengers (so the fact you are business/first or have one world status does little to ease the burden of boarding. The lounge also did not offer red eye passengers a meal and the on board meal service is slow (so if you are hungry it eats into precious sleeping time). The breakfast wakeup was also disappointing. My meal of choice was not available and the whole process was rushed like a fast food restaurant. Overall I am disappointed by the club world offering on this route and would not pay for it again unless intended to get on and just sleep for the entire journey."

The only other option available was for BA to put us on the 20:20 Kulula flight to Lanseria and then shuttle us from Lanseria to OR Tambo. It really is not pleasant to get back home so late on a week night and not even be given any warning or any reason for the huge delay."

Pros: "Flight was on time. Check in staff, Lounge + lounge staff and Cabin crew were on par with expectations (very good). Disembarking the plane at Heathrow was organised, immigration process (I used the e-gates) was very quick and bags arrived promptly."
Cons: "Many ground staff on hand - but felt overall lack of coordination specifically after security check at the gate, with yet another boarding card check which seemed a bit pointless as boarding cards were checked before gate security as well? Eventually boarding the plane - one lady ended up in the wrong line for upper deck seating (which shows that the numerous boarding card checks they failed to give proper guidance on what line to join)."

Cons: "Not enough choices for movies or tv shows."

Cons: "Asked for water when they were selling beverages, and was told sharply "not yet". Flight attendants did not make eye contact and never return for us or other passengers around us."

Pros: "I like that they managed to squeeze the seats in an A380 jumbo jets to make it feel like the space of a domestic carrier plane."
Cons: "Seat is small, no food menu on a 12-hour long haul flight from SIN to London. Only 1 available meal type: bland tasting "sea bass" soaked in tomato sauce. The air crew spent most of their time sitting in the back - zero effort in service - not once did they make rounds with cups of water/juice. In between meals, I request for some snacks and they said they don't carry any snacks at all - onboard a 12-hour long flight. I asked to BUY some Malteser chocolate and pringles, and the air crew exclaim "ohhhh but it's on the upper deck, I would have to climb up to get some." Here how about some bread rolls and butter. They offered me stale bread from the previous meal. I am their One World Partners SAPPHIRE Member. I shudder to think how they would treat their standard economy class passengers."

Cons: "Movie selection not that great"

Pros: "The welcome drinks and hot towels (premium economy) are good. As is the drinks trolley before meals. The seats are just OK"
Cons: "Major gripe is seat allocation we had several issues but the worst was being issued with a boarding pass and seats from London to Sydney only to have them changed to inferior seats at Singapore with the ultimatum "sit in the new seats or get off the plane". Excellent for customer relations, we won't be traveling BA again"

Cons: "1) Toilets too small 2) Toilets after first use by passengers, was not cleansed and toilet supplies like seat covers, etc not replenished 3) Not even enough toilets around."

Cons: "Changan T1 is awful. BA god poor. Otherwise fight to time and uneventful. Passenger cabin in 777s feels squashed. Toilets barely cope."

Cons: "Offer larger seats like United Airlines. For a few dollars you can upgrade economy to economy plus which offere 6 inches more leg room."

Cons: "Rude, entitled and lazy employees. Zero recognition of Emerald status. Forced me to check my bag which fit the onboard limits and flew on 3 flights, incl one on BA - on this very same itinerary."

Cons: "Forced to check carry-on bag at the gate at which point they apparently gave me a baggage claim ticket with someone else's name on it. Because of all the uncertainty when they decided to do this, it was not caught until the bags did not show up at my final destination. They were however very pleasant while incorrectly marking our bags."

Cons: "I didnt have enough time to eat after my first flight because of the short layover. Also the seats were not very comfortable there were plenty of open seats where they have the bed, they could have moved people there for example im military along with a few others, not saying that we need extra privileges but it would have been nice."

Appeared that toilet numbers were compromised with additional seats so to gain more profit. Also toilets far away from the seats. Long queues 3 x 3 seating arrangement is hopeless for 5 hour journey as person at window needs to disturb both middle and aisle seat holder."

Cons: "Incorrect information of boarding gate reflected on the boarding pass for the third time already. And to make it worse, this was the most difficult problem that me and my friends encountered throughout all the flights that we took. We nearly miss this flight as we actually went to the boarding gate that was reflected incorrectly on our boarding pass as stated earlier. There was also an unannounced delay. Flight estimated departure is at 1720HRS, but the flight only took off 1750HRS."

Cons: "Malaysian is known the world over for its great food. It's a pity Malaysia Airlines MH=Malaysian Hospitality doesn't extend to serving simple, good food. The pastry was nothing but a lump of dough with tasteless fillings, and the main meal was atrocious. Everything else was mediocre, except the crew, who were friendly and warm as always,"

Steward saw this and gave me extra peanuts instead. The brekkie was awfulll, the supposed scrambled eggs was congealed into the shape of the holder and again lukewarm the grilled tomatoe looked washed out....unappetiising...so ate the squahed croissant , yoghurt and fruit. What happened to international food standards . Crew was nice...though if wanted water later on had to get yourself.They didn't come around much offering water before Brekkie. No game option eg Sudoku on Entertainment site. My bag come off carousel more scratched than with other Airlines, so poor handling. Disembarked by stairs at Sydney Airport near Cargo plane area and had bus to Airport. Never had that before on an International flight , so took much longer to get into terminal....last thing you want after a long flight."
