Last year we flew business class Cathay pacific from Hong Kong to Melbourne and loved it. This year we decided to fly from Melbourne to Dusseldorf and then from Frankfurt to Melbourne with this airline. Won't be doing that again. Why pay business class fares to be disapointed"

They made announcement updates every 10 minutes meaning that people had to be constantly alert to see if anything changed in the next 10 minutes. When the flight was cancelled, the employees could not offer any information about how to get ticket prices refunded, or how to get to the destination. They could not even connect passengers to the managers because the managers are in Hong Kong. The number they gave out to passengers for customer services could not be reached because this it is an international number. People had to miss connecting flights, meetings, important appointments, and are still trying to figure out how to get refunded for an expensive flight. Terrible experience and customer service."

The gate was closed 10 minutes early and they would not let us on. There were 17 of us, 10 of which were children. They would not let us on BUT we’re able to spend 30 extra minutes at the gate, not on the tarmac, to remove all of our luggge off the plane. It would of taken them less than 10 minutes to let us in the flight. I don’t even know what to say about the complete lack of any competence."

Cons: "I have ordered Wheelchair for my parents which one of my parent didn't get it on Mumbai Airport. When they arrived on Amsterdam Netherlands Airport they were dropped to the gate assigned first and once the gate changed on the fly no body came to help them moving to the new gate assigned which was far away to walk. Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

Cons: "Since we had two extra bags (paid for in Chicago), they demanded to see my receipt before we could board in Amsterdam to Nairobi. We had trouble locating the receipt and we were not given an explanation as to why we needed it again. We were traveling with 5 kids including an infant and we were not allowed to board until we found the receipt. I thought surely they would have record that I had paid, but I guess not. We were the last to board and all very stressed out. The staff seemed not to care the least in our troubles."

Pros: "This is my first and last time taking British Airways. When I was boarding the flight. The flight attendant literally stood in the aisle in front of me talking to a patron. Instead of moving into the empty seat and letting the rest of us move to our seat. He refused and ignored us. As we waited,the captain made a brash announcement and the plane started moving. Twenty patrons included me were not seated. I never had a plane move when we were not seated. I have to squeeze by flight attendant to get into my seat. No courtesy. He didn’t care about me at all. I had a carry on and a baggage. How could he not care about the rest of the people who was standing Experience. To make it worst, I got sick from the pasta and spent to hours with stomach cramps, heats sweats, and nauseous. Will never do again."

Cons: "Plane departed 40 minutes late even though we were on board in time. Congestion at Heathrow was the problem, but this was not a problem for us since we got an extra 40 minutes of sleep."

The audio selection was the most sparse I've ever seen. Only 5 titles in classical music. Also, the movie "library" had only 5 choices. The flight map was a dated version. On other BA flights, there has been excellent attention to detail in Club World. This one was very poor."

Cons: "Charged us 1/2 adult fare for lap infant. Lied to us we had assigned seats. Would not let us check in online. Lied at terminal we had bulkhead with area for infant. Incompetence and lying at several points. We have flown on multiple airlines with infant without any of these problems. VERY poor airlines."

Cons: "Boarding process was confusing because it started so early 50+ minutes prior, but our boarding passes said otherwise, 30 minutes prior."

Cons: "I ordered a ginger ale onboard. When the stewardess took my order and went to swipe my card, he made a comment that sometimes they have difficulties with USA credit cards. He tried 3 different cards and then when nothing worded, he asked if I had pounds to pay with. I stated no, that I had Croatian crowns, Euros or US Dollars on me at that point in time. He then looked over at me and very rudely asked me why in the heck I ordered the drink to begin with. I was already embarrassed that he was having trouble with my cards so to yell at me in front of everyone so much to the point the lady in the next row heard hi and offered to buy my drink for me. I would like to point out that even he made the remark that the machine sometimes has difficulty taking US cards. How was I supposed to know that none of the three cards that I had on me wouldn't work. I never had any issues with either of those three cards after that incident. They worked just fine so it was clearly an issue with your machine not my cards. I feel it was very inappropriate for him to treat me that way (especially over a stupid soda). My luggage then didn't make it to Ibiza in time because it got stuck in London due to my short layover. If BA can't figure out how to get the luggage transferred within that short of a period, they should not offer flights that close to each other. Secondly, I left a really nice down pillow and bag on my flight from London to Ibiza and I checked the lost in found at the Ibiza airport and it was never turned in. I never recommend BA to anyone."

Cons: "We were asked to check in our luggage as there was not sufficient space in the cabin which obviously delayed our plans of getting a train to other location from the airport after lading as we had to collect the bags etc"

Cons: "Wheelchair assistance was not provided to both the passengers , even though it was requested during reservation. Baggage was lost and did not make it to Bangalore"

Pros: "Boarding staff was confused and took al long time. The crew were nice enough but disinterested in serving us and were annoyed when I asked for a few crackers or bread to help with a stomach ache. Never got any. I had to get up several times to ask for water. Comfort was ok and plane was warm enough. There was several people who came and sat down next to me in the open seat, 6 or 7 different people who left their own seats elsewhere on the plane and came to sit next to me in the open seat. One woman brought her child over, asked me to love another seat over, so her child could lay down and put his feet in my lap. Then, when Inledt for the ladies room, she left him there to kick the seat in front of him and throw his tuna fish sandwich pieces on me and on the floor. I never agreed to play nanny to her child and after I'd paid $750 for a one way ticket from TPA to AMS, I didn't think I should have to. The mother gave me an earful of her bad language when I asked her to take care of her own child and take him and his fishy tuna sandwich back to his own designated seat. I had asked a male flight attendant to handle the situation, neither he nor the other staff, who stood by, cared that it was disturbing me, or that the other passengers were playing musical chairs with empty seats all night. I have flown British Air more than 100 times in my life. For 35 years it was my go to airline for step up in quality, service and class. This time I could have flown several other airlines that would have been $379, $400, 547, 650 for the same flight TPA to London Gatwick then AMS, instead I opted to pay a little more and thought I'd get a little more. Not any more on British Air. Other passengers on the flight were rested when they arrived. Not me, I was tired and disappointed and kicking myself for paying more to fly British Air. This is sadly understandable, as all quality is down with alot of airlines. But it's particularly disappointing that I'm saying that about British Air after all these years. I have only complained one time to an airline over 30 years. This will be my second time. I plan to send this complaint to British Air and ask for a refund."

Pros: "We did land OK but JFK was snowed in and this probably caused the many problems we encountered. Iq always have bad luck flying in and out of that airport so I don't completely hold BA accountable. Staff we polite and efficient."
Cons: "We were stuck in the plane for an hour and a half after landing at JFK. On the ground they ran the engines so loudly my husband got a terrible headache. We mentioned the noise problem but were ignored. Once allowed to debark we were crammed into a long cold hall and waited another 1/2 hour before moving towards immigration clearance. To top it off the baggage conveyer system was broken and we waited another 45 minutes before they shut the building down. So we left with no luggage exhausted. One piece of luggage was left back in London. Not pleasant at all. We did get our luggage returned 3 days later. That was good."

Cons: "I bought a ticket from British airlines but the first leg of the trip was with Vueling. The online check in at British Airlines sent me to Vueling but I couldn't check in with British. We had to stand in line at Vueling to check our bags and then with British Airlines to get Get the boarding passes for the other two legs of our our trip. The bags didn't make the switch. British Airlines found our bags in 2 days but 5 days later that's a week later the web check of our file says bags ready for Delivery and call help line can not talk to the airport to find out the problem."

Pros: "We were in coach. They would not allow us to take any water on board the plane unless we were in business or first class. Really wierd. This was a night flight, so we slept most of the way.."

Cons: "Seating is cramped in Coach. The headrests on the seats have a tendency to push your head forward when the seat is in an upright position. When the seat in front of you reclines, it is difficult to cross your legs or reach for something stored under the seat. It seems to me that given how long passengers are in their seats on overseas trips, that seating should be more comfortable."

Cons: "The flight was an hour and a half late getting to Cincinnati due to weather in Houston. We did make up some time in the air, however, when we got to Newark, we waited over 20 minutes to be towed to the gate! This level of service is simply unacceptable."

Cons: "The international terminal at LAX is terrible as far as people being on hand or being able to offer assistance on getting to your next connecting flight. Getting 30 minutes to make a connecting flight that is on the other side of the airport with noone being able to tell you where your connecting flight is is almost impossible. The in-flight entertainment console was broken and was unusable during the flight. It would work for 5 minutes then glitch and the screen would flash until you stowed it away and waited 10 minutes to try again."

Cons: "Disappointed that my seat assignments were dropped so had to go to gate to get middle seats."

They brought me just after takeoff instas of at lunch time. My entertainment system didn’t work and the only response was “we’re aware of it” no attempt to fix, no apology. Then flight attendant skipped my tow with drinks."

Cons: "The whole flight seemed like a sales pitch. Pay to upgrade to our empty seats with a little more legroom. Pay to watch TV cross country (Delta, American, and all others are included). They did have more sales pitches on the screen for 6 hours though. Pay for snacks. Not even peanuts or pretzels anymore. They do give you a disgusting wafer. Flew back on Delta and didn't see any of this. Between this and their recent beating up of customers, no more United for me."

Cons: "Flight crew should learn how to smile. In general, not even vaguely friendly. Food was the absolute worse I have eaten in many, many years ( I have millions of miles of air travel). Seats old and hard and extremely close together."

We then arrived late, which extremely rushed my already super tight transfer in LAX and cause a lot of stress and frustration with the airline."

Cons: "The only disappointment was that internet via WiFi was all but unusable. If the service is not viable while on this route, it should not be offered."

Cons: "Worst airline food I have ever had. There were supposed to be two choices for dinner, when they ran out of one, they just shoved the food at you with no apologies. It was the worst fried chicken ever, and breakfast was worse. The two male flight attendants never smiled, had attirude, and were overall jerks."

Pros: "My whole experience was easy and comfortable. A big thank you to the woman who helped me check in at the United kiosk in Sydney. She saw that I was struggling and assisted me until completion. The flight was uneventful, which is really good! I also had the entire row to myself which gave me room to spread out for the 13 hour flight. Great experience:)"
Cons: "The food was probably the weakest part of my flight from Sydney to Los Angeles. The eggs had no taste. I'd prefer a simple oatmeal or cereal for breakfast."

Cons: "The crew was very unfriendly. I was extremely shocked how they seemed to be bothered when called upon. I boarded group 3 and by the time I got to my seat overhead space was filled all around me. My seat was row 32. Im not one for speaking out but this was a very unpleasant experience."

Cons: "My personal and plane provided headphones didn't work so I had no access to using the entertainment panel during my 7 hour flight from Scotland. Also while some of the crew was friendly, one crew member was not helpful and was a bit rude especially when it came to the lack of help with my entertainment system and the passanger next to me who also had a problem. We were pretty much ignored. He actually took out a napkin to make it look like he was taking down the info on the seats with the problem which clearly would have never gone anywhere. Good luck to the people in those seats next!"

Pros: "The space in between the row in front was above average. The extra space is appreciated. Gate agents were kind and helpful during the boarding process."

But they could have given more frequent updates and at least told us what gate we were at so we could have a better idea when trying to frantically make our connections. Also the entertainment was pricey for a 5 hour flight that I paid good money for. I thinK basic movies should just be included in the fees"

Pros: "The Qantas agent controlling access to the International Terminal from the Domestic Terminal in Sydney was the best I have ever encountered. Not only did he unravel a very complicated situation created by United, he helped get cell phone to the connecting flight after I left it on first flight. Service on the flight was good and better in Economy than Business First on United."
