Cons: "No lounge in Philadelphia took my Priority Pass. On the flight, the woman in front of me threw her chair back without asking and almost had hot coffee all over me. When I asked her to put her chair up, she got mad. She went to staff to insist she could put her chair back. I showed them that I was indeed in a back brace for a health condition and that I needed opportunities to move and shift, cross legs to release tension, etc. Staff sided with the rude woman, who, given the chance to move to an equal seat on the opposite aisle where she could recline, refused to move. I was very frustrated and have never been treated with such discrimination regarding my health concerns."

Pros: "I had never heard of Qatar Airways before I booked a 24hr flight to and from Sydney, Australia. I only did this on the suggestion from a friend that stated Qatar Airways was "alright". So for the price I thought what the heck! I was extremely pleased with the service from the cabin crew. They are always polite, professional, and well trained compared to my previous favorites Delta and Lufthansa. The seats were comfortable (as comfortable as Economy and 24hours of flying can be), the entertainment and aircraft were state of the art, and the food was outstanding for airline food. If I get the chance in the future I will definitely choose Qatar Airways for long trips."

Everyone talks about how superior Qatar is, but I found nothing special about it...the seats, the food, the entertainment were all basic and nothing fancy. The crew, while very sweet, seemed inexperienced and green to me..but they were lovely and that's all that ultimately matters."

The lines for non on line check in went faster then the on-line and they have four times more people that was in the on-line checked in. In flight, the seat felt liked you're sitting on a rock after a couple of hours. I'm an aircraft mechanic who used to be a flyer with 7,000 flying hours."

To add to the anxiety, we noticed that none of the bassinet seats were allocated to parents with infants. There were at least 3 families with infants and lots of children due to school holidays. But we all had to make do with our cramped seats. Maybe Qantas can plan this better. It isn’t so difficult as they usually know how many infants are travelling, in advance."

Cons: "Qantas left our luggage in Sydney. Once we were in Koh Samui it was up to Bangkok Airways to sort it out. The file reference we were given wasn't recognised by the Qantas website, the three phone numbers in Bangkok just gave a 'number disconnected' message and one was no answer. We had to cancel a planned event on day two and shop for clothes for a specific activity on day three. The only way to make contact with Qantas was via Instagram, Luggage did appear but so far no contact or apology from Qantas. We will not fly with Qantas again. Virgin Australia is our carrier of choice who outperform Qantas in every respect. This flight was gifted so we had no choice."

Boarding was quite slow and then takeoff was late but it was nice that the captain explained it."

Between departing international flight - picking up luggage/toilet stop and clearing Immigration/Customs then catching bus between Qantas international domestic terminals we were racing to catch flight. As we arrived Qantas domestic terminal our names were being called over along with info the plane was awaiting our arrival. In my experience 2hrs is minimum time between connecting flights - otherwise good experience."

Pros: "The people who work for Lufthansa are the nicest i’ve met, on par with Turkish airlines. The times for boarding and departure were respected, the flight crew was extra nice, even accommodating requests that gave them extra-work. Economy passengers were treated like first class in terms of service and solicitude of the crew. Headphones, blankets, pillows were offered free of charge, so we’re the food and drinks, and there was a good selection of movies and music. On a 770$ ticket, mind you! The crew will come by repeatedly to check if passengers desired some more wine or coffee, offered water and juices on a tray several times outside the regular service times, and cared for the families with children. Thumbs up!"

They sent us to two other airlines, assuming we were flying with a partner airline, then tried to shift the blame onto Kayak. When -- and ONLY when -- we pointed out that we'd actually booked directly through Condor and Kayak had only served as the intermediary, they gave us a direct line to call. Then their agent said "You can't always trust the people at the desk, you know." Oh, really? If I can't trust your own agents, who can I trust, exactly? It turned out that we had an initial flight to Minneapolis, which was NOWHERE on the itinerary, on Sun Country. The Sun Country folks, thankfully, were enormously helpful and we made our flight with 2 minutes to spare. But it doesn't end there. We'd paid for business class all the way, but only got it on the interseas portions of our flights. And they lost our luggage on the way home, to boot. Take home lesson? NEVER FLY WITH CONDOR. I'll walk to Europe before ever booking with them again. And I'll make sure that all my friends and colleagues, all of whom travel extensively, know of our experience."

I felt that I could get easily lost between flights and not have time to get to the Frankfurt/Denver flight. I told this to the person at the gate in Zurich, and he immediately arranged for someone to meet me in Frankfurt and take me there. I was met by Maika in Frankfurt and she was just excellent--personable and efficient and really helpful. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the name of the person at the gate in Zurich. He was also great. I wouldn't have done this if I had had more time, but this really made my day (and my flight!) ! Thank you!"

Once we finally boarded we sat on the tarmac another 30 minutes before we started take-off process and only THEN did anyone tell us what was going on. We got the feeling the flight was delayed all day - would have preferred a heads up so we could have enjoyed more time NOT in the airport!!!"
Pros: "My daughter traveled as an unaccompanied minor overseas and was taken care of reasonably well. The staff in LAX were not as friendly but then I am just glad that everything was handled for her at such a young age being taken through such a big place. My daughter said she slept very little overnight due to a rude passenger who was talking very loudly and using a phone. But over all she was happy with the in-flight entertainment and I was pleased with the amount of baggage allowed at no extra fee."

Cons: "Flight attendant was gruff when communicating. She seemed angry when providing information. It was a short flight, so not a lot was offered, which was totally fine. However, when she walked down the isle with water, she appeared to be looking at the ceiling and didn’t stop to check if many people wanted water, including me."

Cons: "It wasn't Air New Zealand, but operated by United Airlines. The plane was uncomfortable, and the entertainment system seemed clunky, unintuitive and outdated. The selection of entertainment, poor in quality, I thought. There were lost of things to watch, but a lot of it was of poor quality. The food was acceptable, but again, it felt like it was done on-the-cheap, and I was eating airline food a la 20 years ago."
Pros: "The flight was quite smooth and left virtually on time. Boarding was simple and fast and the economy plus seats were extremely comfortable."
Cons: "The food was quite poor. United can learn a thing or two about food by flying Cathay Pacific to see what decent airline food is like. As far as entertainment is concerned, while United had a great movie selection the method of controlling the playback was quite poor. Pausing the movie would actually make it stop on several occasions."

Cons: "On the LAX to MEL return flight, the crew were very unfriendly and only did the bare minimum, and basically just asked 'chicken or fish" and "what beverage do you want", then almost threw the food and drinks at the passengers. The obviously don't enjoy their job very much."
Cons: "Basic Economy fare will flag at the kiosk for check-in. I'd rather have a warning to indicate no Carry On bag allowed, and flag at the gate for them to check. Both legs of the trip caused an extra 5-10 minutes to wait for help to proceed"

I had 10 minutes once off the plane and in the terminal to reach my gate to SF and I was in a walking boot do to an ankle injury. Once sweaty on board the flight was turned back to the terminal delayed three hours and I missed my flight home that day. I then spent from 11pm to 8am in the terminal"
Pros: "Crew was friendly and efficient. Snacks - coffee and stroopwaffle were MUCH better than what is typically available without cost."
Cons: "Engine noise made safety instruction and pilots commentary incomprehensible. Plane was equipped with wifi, BUT you needed to download an app to get access - which is a catch 22. Couldn't download the app because I needed wifi access, which I couldn't get without the app!"
Cons: "My flight last week they had us board and then de plane do to plane maintenance after I traveled litterly all day it added an extra hour. Then this flight Washington connection to Detroit from raleigh the pilot never showed up and extra hour went by, we got a new pilots but, then leading to faulty paperwork that took another hour and thirty minutes after boarding the plan to get sorted. When we got that sorted they then proceeded to tell us that the flight atendent had to leave and we had to wait another 20 min for another atendent to arrive before finally making our way to Detroit. Pros: "The Dreamliner is a very nice plane to fly on. Crew was friendly overall. Food was average. Entertainment was good. Blankets were too thin for a 14+ hour flight. I would fly this particular flight again though. Price was the best when I booked it."

Cons: "The crew was not friendly, particularly one woman who would roll her eyes at folks anytime they asked for anything. Occasionally, they would say they were out of something only to "magically" have it appear later. The landing was about the worst I have experience. Must have been a rookie pilot."

Cons: "The two big complaints are the food which was quite pathetic for a 14 hour flight - half of a cold sandwich and one cookie!!! Really?? They need to fly their competition and see how it should be done! The biggest complaint of all is their slight of hand baggage charges. If they're going to partner with another airline, they need some communication and agreement about pricing and allowances. Even though we are United Club members and credit card holders, we were charged nearly $400 to bring our luggage home, after paying just $30., yes, thirty, on Air New Zealand to take two extra bags! United's own overseas policy allows two bags, but they charged us anyway on return because we came on an airline that only allows one even though we paid ANZ to bring extra. Extremely illogical."

Pros: "The staff at check-in at Terminal 2 at Heathrow airport were lovely... friendly, helpful. My suitcase was overweight so I had to remove 4lbs from my suitcase and redistribute it into my hand luggage. The staff were so polite and patient and had a very supportive attitude."
Cons: "1) The staff at the gate were mechanical and had an air of snootiness...non-genuine behaviour. 2) Cabin staff were not attentive and also very abrupt and short when approached for anything, despite the flight being at 30% capacity. 3) My arm was bandaged from my fingertips to my shoulder but when I asked staff to assist me with my hand luggage they refused 4) Food quantitiy was EXTREMELY low and the quality was appalling....there was less food given than in a MacDonalds Happy Meal."

Cons: "The reclining seats only work if you are shorter than 187cm I'm taller and so I had to bend my knees as there is nowhere else for your legs to go! The Chardonnay was warm - when served with tasty smoked salmon turned me off. The pillow was a $2 one lumpy and next to useless it's too big for the room you have. My entertainment system was reset three times and it still didn't work properly - no sound and no ability to watch movies that were not child rated. Stewards have to learn to be quiet as some of us are trying to sleep on a 15 hour flight and aren't interested in their laughs and jokes as we are travelling business first because we have to go to work when we get there!!"

Cons: "storm was coming over and they boarded us anyway. sat on plane for 2 hours almost lost my mind. finally let us off. honestly would have appreciated them being honest and telling us that we would have to wait until the storm passed which was about 4-5hours. not knowing what was going on killed my positive experience. i know the weather does not affect how you all do your job-- the crew was great. just a really bad experience wish they could have been more up front."

I wasn't feeling very well and they noticed and checked up on me and made sure I was hydrated and got something to make me feel better. (I was so grateful to have a mom~type take care of me, on a long flight.) Thank You!!!"
