The attendants seemed to come around more often and there was a much better food selection for everyone involved. Overall, I found the flight to be safe, mostly comfortable, and the food was excellent."
Cons: "I had a family sitting next to me (I was in the aisle) and I felt that while the attendants were courteous and prompt in accommodating me, they all but ignored the people in the middle seats. I had to keep asking them on the attendant's behalf if they needed anything before they rushed on by. At one point the father told me that he was getting better service from me than the attendants. Also, one of the TV screens didn't work in one of the middle seats so the family had to do a switcharoo with their little one after they got settled so their son could have the working screen. I personally found that it was very difficult to recline my seat - I really had to quite literally put my back into it to get it to click into the reclining position."

Pros: "I am frequent air traveler that logs about 100k miles a year and this is the first time I felt like writing a review about an airline. I traveled with my 4 year old son on this trip. Excellent service, high quality food options and flight amenities. I really enjoyed the food as did my son. My son left his backpack behind on the first leg and the airline staff retreived it and delivered it to the lounge in less than 15 minutes. I was astounded and had almost given up on seeing the bag again, given my experience with other airlines in the past. This is going to be airline of choice for future trips!"

I know several airlines who hide behind bureaucratic procedures to stonewall customers. CP is not one of them. Excellent service, before, after and during the flight."

Cons: "I booked through Budget Air and was initially online able to confirm seats and meals for my husband and I online with Qantas easily. Months out my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked onto a later flight that would have made us miss all of our transfers to our honeymoon on Fitzroy Island. Because I had booked through 'a 3rd party' Qantas refused to assist me. I managed to convince budget air to change our flights. We were moved to a jetstar flight from Melbourne to cairns. I had to confirm that this had occurred and go through multiple people online to reallocate seats and food options for my husband and myself again. Only my luggage allowance was carried across to jetstar and neither of our meal allowances were. When it came to online check-in with jetstar I could not check my husband in online only myself. I spoke to multiple people online who all confirmed they didn't know why or there was no problem and we should just present ID and check in in person. When we got to the airport Qantas had not transferred the e-ticket code across for my husband's booking and this is why we could not check him in online. The jetstar staff had to try to get his original booking code from Qantas. As it turned out I had to original booking code through budget Air in my hand and had to assert this information to staff. Flying back we were able to check in online fine with Qantas. Our boarding passes printed different sizes but did not present a problem when we dropped off our luggage. When we sent to check in the staff member couldn't get the smaller pass to read and my husband had to assert that he also had it on his phone. Despite all of my online conversations the aisle seat was allocated to me and not my husband who required it because of a medical condition and the flight was 30min delayed. We won't be traveling with Qantas or jetstar, or booking through budget Air again."

Flight attendant sounded unprofessional over PA Would like more snacks - savoury and sweet, instead of just savoury. Snack was not sufficient for a 3 hour flight landing at 9pm. Had to wait on plane while airbridge was brought to the plane so everyone could disembark - “they weren’t expecting the flight!!” Whole flight still waiting for luggage after 55 minutes of standing at carousel and only after 55 minutes an announcement to say handlers are tending to a departure and we have to wait another 10 minutes - a whole hour for luggage - take carry on only next time!!!! 4 flights collecting luggage from the one carousel!!"

If they cannot maintain a consistent level of standard across all their products let another provider in who can."

Pros: "We paid for extra legroom seats because we were so uncomfortable on the flight up to Cairns. It was worth the money to be comfortable. As it happens it was an older plane with more room anyway."

Cons: "The seats were narrow and horribly cramped. No shaping to support your back and the tray table crushed my stomach and I am quite slim. Goodness knows how big people cope. We recently did a round The world trip with 11 flights and none were as bad as this."

Cons: "The rear of the plane was filled with screaming babies, loud uncontrolled children kicking the seats in front of them (mine). Equally loud mothers baby-talked continuously to their offending offspring with no effect. Cabin staff made no attempt to control the noise levels. I recognize some of these small children could have been suffering ear pain from the cabin pressure changes but trained cabin staff could have offered remedies for this. It does not explain the continuous screaming at cruising altitude. I recognize that JETSTAR is an intentionally cheap and nasty airline. I reluctantly took this flight because there was no quality service (like QANTAS) at the time I required. I accept the lack of amenities offered by REAL airlines like complimentary food, drink, entertainment and healthy legroom are the cost of cheap travel but I would have happily paid a higher price for QANTAS had there been a flight. I will not fly JETSTAR again and if no alternative exists with QANTAS, I will choose another airline in spite of my long allegiance to QANTAS CC: QANTAS"

Cons: "You have to pay extra for everything. Even though it’s an eight hour flight there is no food, drink or entertainment included. They do have screens at the back of each seat but it’s $10 to watch a limited selection. The food and drink are expensive. It gets cold in the plane but you guessed it if you ask for a blanket you have to buy a $20 “comfort pack”. So be prepared!"
Cons: "The assisted mobility did not work at all well, Perth it didn’t turn up, no help on or off the plane, Melbourne only took you as far as the eating area, with a lot further to go to the luggage reclaim, no one to help me with my luggage!"

Cons: "Awful service, took a booking from Melbourne to Aukland and cancelled 5 hours later. Offered no alternative or option but to leave our trip. Completely destroyed our travels which we saved years to accomplish. Avoid these (JETSTAR) like the plague, unless you want an incompetent airline to wreck your traveling. Words really cannot describe our feelings towards our treatment and lack of any empathy from the airline, who took a booking and then cancelled it in record and and said there is no other flights! Thanks for that - never again."

Pros: "Be careful. I booked a return flight from Narita. I was NOT prompted in any vidible way about luggage. As qantas FF and based upon ALL past experience i expected an allownace of 25 kgs to be included. I had NO luggage allwoance. I was charged apprx 400 AUD $ for a 22.8kg bag. I asked to redress thsi for the retrun trip and have since discovered that the details have NOT been updated despite paying! So now I need to call Jetstar and worknthrough the issue."

There was no-one to explain what we had to do so we only printed our boarding passes, and didnt realise we had to ALSO print baggage labels, so we consequently lost our place in the queue. NOT HAPPY!"
