Cons: "Food is below average!"

Pros: "Great entertainment, food, and crew."

Pros: "Crew very friendly and accommodating."

Cons: "No back-of-seat screen, overhead screens lacking enough contrast to see much. No matter, I looked out the window instead!"

Cons: "Couldn't check in on mobile"

Pros: "Quick boarding and deplaning on arrival"
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "everything about he flight was perfect"

Pros: "The seats were comfy."
Cons: "I booked through Budget Air and was initially online able to confirm seats and meals for my husband and I online with Qantas easily. Months out my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked onto a later flight that would have made us miss all of our transfers to our honeymoon on Fitzroy Island. Because I had booked through 'a 3rd party' Qantas refused to assist me. I managed to convince budget air to change our flights. We were moved to a jetstar flight from Melbourne to cairns. I had to confirm that this had occurred and go through multiple people online to reallocate seats and food options for my husband and myself again. Only my luggage allowance was carried across to jetstar and neither of our meal allowances were. When it came to online check-in with jetstar I could not check my husband in online only myself. I spoke to multiple people online who all confirmed they didn't know why or there was no problem and we should just present ID and check in in person. When we got to the airport Qantas had not transferred the e-ticket code across for my husband's booking and this is why we could not check him in online. The jetstar staff had to try to get his original booking code from Qantas. As it turned out I had to original booking code through budget Air in my hand and had to assert this information to staff. Flying back we were able to check in online fine with Qantas. Our boarding passes printed different sizes but did not present a problem when we dropped off our luggage. When we sent to check in the staff member couldn't get the smaller pass to read and my husband had to assert that he also had it on his phone. Despite all of my online conversations the aisle seat was allocated to me and not my husband who required it because of a medical condition and the flight was 30min delayed. We won't be traveling with Qantas or jetstar, or booking through budget Air again."

Pros: "Keith the baby whisperer. Who took the babies one by one from there clueless mothers and stopped them crying and screaming. Kieth deserves his own commercial."
Cons: "The food and the seat comfort."

Pros: "I liked the disabled service"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats. And why aren’t all the people flying with babies and young children all in one part of the plan?"

Pros: "Crew was nice and ready to help"

Pros: "Quick boarding and friendly staff"
Cons: "Could not eat the in flight breakfast as both contained wheat (I’m coeliac)"

Pros: "The seats are comfortable and the service is first rate. Best airline out of Virgin Australia, Air New Zealand, and Qantas based on my 3 trips to New Zealand. It helped that we were on an A380 and because of the lack of the plane being filled both my travel companion and I had 3 seats to ourselves to stretch out. In economy, without that, nothing would have made the trip bearable. That said, the food was good, the entertainment options good, and the after hours water/liquid/snack options were quite good."

Pros: "FLIGHT TIME"
Cons: "UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS , NO SEATS FOR FAMILIES TO SIT TOGETHER"

Cons: "The airport closure wasn't PALs fault but the absolute lack of organisation and an attitude "act of God so look after yourself" is disgusting. Flying business expected some service but had nothing and they smiled and said they rebooked me 16 days later. Other airlines would book you on different carriers but not PAL. Last time no matter what special deal they offer."

Pros: "check in easy at Adelaide airport"
Cons: "The plane had small drop down screens every 4 or 5 rows which are totally inadequate for watching anything. gives no choice and poor sound quality (lag between vision and sound) Pork meal was some sort of tasteless slop in a cardboard box with rice and a green veg. It seem as if short flights are getting a raw deal with old planes and sub standard food, systems to save costs. If they cannot maintain a consistent level of standard across all their products let another provider in who can."

Cons: "The seat space is a bit small, there is too less Chinese and Japanese movies to choose from."

Pros: "The food choices were lovely, plenty of bathrooms and touch screen entertainment (albeit with an outdated feeling and clunky interface.) The skycam was the best part of the entertainment interface options, giving you an outside view of the plane at all times from a camera at the top of the plane tail. Watching the plane during its descent and landing was very cool."
Cons: "I’ve flown in tight-spaced economy seats before, but the lack of space to even bend over to reach items on the floor was extreme on this plane and unacceptable for a 15+ hour flight. It truly felt like a straightjacket. Serious acrobatics were required to reach items on the floor. The tray table would also fly down on its own, the lever holding it would slide free while I was sleeping. There was no wifi at all, not even for using the qantas apps. My fiancé flew on Virgin the week before and was able to purchase wifi and stay in touch with me for $19 for the duration of the flight. Even my flight earlier this year with Qantas on the Dreamliner lacked usable wifi, but the experience of the Dreamliner plane itself was wonderful. In addition, the usb ports on the end of the armrests weren’t working. I feel it should be part of the safety briefing to point out where the usable power points are, given how vital charged phones are these days for boarding passes, reaching loved ones and entertainment when the wifi isn’t working. I didn’t realize there was a plug for laptops/ block plugs until I asked about the USB ports not working until the last 2 hours of the flight. The location of that was somewhere few would notice or look if not explicitly told. This will be the last time I ever book with Qantas when an a380 model is involved, unless great overhauls and updates are completed. Economy should not lack basic ergonomic comforts and while I’ve spent years touting my love for Qantas, having had wonderful experiences in the past, this one fell far below what I had come to expect from the Qantas name."

Cons: "Disembarking.... No gate so had to get bus to shuttle to terminal... 1 bus for nearly 1000 passengers.... Took nearly 90 minutes to get off plane."

Pros: "Super easy flight out of Auckland. Arrived in Nelson ahead of schedule."
Cons: "...the person coughing behind me..."

Pros: "Very smooth, made it alive."

Cons: "Little more leg room required"

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The flight being cancelled"

Pros: "Easy boarding"
Cons: "All ok really"

Pros: "We sat on the runway for an hour. The pilot communicated frequently about the delay. Efforts were made to connect passengers to their missed connections."
Cons: "Several of the flight attendants were rude. The food was not good. I should have known since the flight attendant serving me had not tried any of the options and couldn't recommend any to me. The plane does not have enough bathrooms for the number of passengers."

Cons: "Flight was canceled after 8 hours of Rebooked flight included an additonal stop, as well as overnight layover. Qantas made no attempt to give have better flights or offer any vouchers for the trouble (they provided the bare minimum of hotel, but no additional perks)."

Cons: "Headphone jack on the 747 was faulty."

Cons: "Delayed departure as usual unsuitable aircraft (737) for 5 hour flight. It's time Qantas steps up and puts a proper aircraft on the Singapore Perth flight. Even the budgets are more comfortable that this."

Pros: "Quick boarding, punctual flight, nice snack for a short flight."
Cons: "Dash 8 is a bit cramped when it is full."

Pros: "Good food on the plane; friendly staff."
Cons: "Horrible accomodations; I've never been in a flight this tight before. It was miserable the whole way. Even Southwest is roomier. I should have taken an American carrier. Space is the number one priority on a flight across the Pacific, and Qantas really doesn't understand that. I've taken Delta, American, and United across both ponds. Stick with them! After all, I can make my own food."

Pros: "It was a pleasant flight."
Cons: "I'm satisfied"

Pros: "The A380 is pretty good for soaking up the typical bumps of air travel. This flight was the first where the lamding was so soft that the plane didn't jolt on landing. It made noise like we'd touched down, but the ground effect glide was perfectly choreographed by the crew. Nice job."
Cons: "There was an exceptionally narcissistic young man from China behind me who stood up and complaoned during rollout that he couldn't recline his seat. The crew suggested I relocate to a better seat. That was very nice and thougtful."

Cons: "Not enough legroom or seating area... Obviously you are downsizing, hoping that people will spend more to upgrade."

Cons: "I was not able to check-in on my mobile phone. I was not able to check-in at the Kiosk. I had to check my carry-on bag all the way through to Los Angeles."

Pros: "I had an exit row seat so being tall this was very much appreciated"
Cons: "no problems"

Pros: "Complimentary healthy food, iPads, smiling staff"

Cons: "You charged me twice in my credit card the Ticket from Adelaide -Melbourne and Melbourne-Sydney"

Pros: "The staff showed they cared about you comfort and tried to make sure you were enjoying your flight"
Cons: "All was great"

Pros: "I had eight flights on this trip. The fact that everything was pretty much routine on this flight is a good thing."

Pros: "The crew were cheery, helpful and professional."
Cons: "In economy, space is an issue, still feels cramped"

Pros: "Excellent service"
Cons: "Food was more wordt than in the past"

Pros: "crew always pleasant big pillows & blankets"

Pros: "Very well organized. Crew is very friendly. Lots of little perks on the flight that many other companies don't provide."

Cons: "food was probably the worst airline food that I have ever tried to eat. Wasn't even able or wanted to eat it."

Pros: "The food was absolutely incredible for such a short and domestic flight. The in-flight entertainment app was also amazing."

Pros: "The jumbo-ness of the craft. I felt kind of like being on a cruise ship - which is good! The attendants were terrific."
Cons: "Overhead light kind of spilled over to my neighbor's seat (me being in the outer aisle chair) even after being adjusted as much out as possible. Not a problem if my neighbor had one of those sleep masks..."

Cons: "Plane trip was great , baggage pick up very slow. No entertainment on trip Melb to Cairns so can't comment."

Pros: "Left and arrived on time. The plane was nice and clean"
Cons: "Nothing. It was all good"

Pros: "The plane had few people so it was quiet."
Cons: "Meal was very average, captain speakers were very low and we couldn’t hear. The landing was rushed and rough even though it was good weather and plenty of space to slow down aircraft. No entertainment or offer to purchase/rent. The flight was delayed and we arrived one hour later."

Pros: "Great luggage allowance and best prices."
Cons: "Not Applicable"

Pros: "Free wifi"
Cons: "Not much"

Pros: "fast boarding"
Cons: "better movies"

Cons: "Could not add baggage online"

Pros: "Quick easy painless and on time"

Pros: "First time trying the new inflight Wifi - great!"

Pros: "Taking my elderly mother up to the Gold Coast to visit my sister is always a challenge but thanks to the beautiful staff at Virgin it was made so easy. Just outstanding customer service. Thank you so much."

Pros: "Seats were big enough and the entertainment was good"
Cons: "We had to wait an extra hour (after already waiting 6 hours because our original connecting flight couldn’t wait 5 minutes) because 2 people couldn’t sit in their assigned seats. They then got kicked off the plane which Is fine, but why should we have to wait while their bags are found. They broke the rules, they should have to pick their bag up when they get to Perth. Not inconvenience thousands of people!"

Cons: "My ticket was deemed void when I was checking in and I could not get on the flight. I will never book via kayak again."

Cons: "Bag drop area was allowed to be hijacked by a school group that hadn’t checked in already."

Pros: "Good flight, punctual, on time."
Cons: "Food a tiny chocalate bar. If VA advertises that it serves food on domestic flights, it should be proper food!"

Pros: "6 years. I am old and have been cared for very well."

Cons: "That the flight didn't wait 15 minutes for me to get on it."

Pros: "The service from the crew was great."
Cons: "I’m vegetarian, the Meals offered were really bad and i was disappointed that I wasn’t offered some of the more appealing vegetarian options that were available for the rest of the passengers"

Pros: "We arrived in Adelaide"
Cons: "Having to wait in a massive line for an hour to check in our bags after landing in Melbourne from a Virgin Australia international flight - there should be a special counter for guests who are transferring."

Pros: "The lounge and space on the flight"
Cons: "Bizarre that the passenger across the aisle from me had a ticket to Sydney which had been scanned twice by staff, didn't work, they couldn't work out why and let her on anyway after phonecalls from steward. She wasn't too pleased to be in Adelaide with all her luggage supposedly on the Sydney flight (last minute gate change). Security breach and error!"

Pros: "Great service and staff."
Cons: "The non existent baggage drop at Tullamarine. The in flight snacks needs improving."

Cons: "See above, I was so bored, tired and irritated I can’t be bothered to say if this flight was good or not. Much better than being stuck in the airport and was glad to get to my destination."

Pros: "On time flight."
Cons: "Minimal amenities"

Pros: "Sufficient."

Pros: "The staff were lovely."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by two hours, the earphone jack only worked through one side."

Pros: "Everything was great. On time and very nice service Thanks"

Pros: "attentive service and relatively comfortable, easy boarding and disembarking"
Cons: "Meal/snack/food was atrocious, was the most disappointing excuse of a snack. We had a choice of a few pieces of cut apple or an extremely thin sad looking granola bar. Expect airlines that offer “full service” to offer something better for the price, also the fact that no fixed TVs or iPads and you have to use your phone to watch movies, at least get a phone holder on the back of the seat."

Pros: "Food"
Cons: "Half hour delay"

Pros: "A cold drink just when I needed it. Thank you"

Pros: "The crew were excellent and the plane very comfy."
Cons: "I don't understand why we had a 4hr 40 min flight plan which went way up the Australian coast instead of going in a direct line from Melbourne to Christchurch, when the ticket noted about a 3hr 40 min flight time. If you can enlighten me that would be appreciated."

Pros: "Free drink and snack Courteous service Arrived on time Free registered luggage"
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "Great service"
Cons: "legroom too small and food was minor snack."

Pros: "Breakfast mushrooms were good."
Cons: "No butter for breakfast roll."

Pros: "Economy X is fantastic, and really enjoy the boarding experience and the crew. left on time and arrived early. Excellent trip in that regard."
Cons: "Almost every time I travel on virgin, which is a lot. They serve a minim muesli bar. Come on Virgin what about changing that a bit. Qantas offer some really good options for not much more of a ticket price. This part of the Virgin Experience needs to change."

Cons: "Delayed."

Cons: "my seat got changed"

Pros: "Every employee I've met has made my trip seamless and delightful. Your employees are very professional. Wish you were in the US!!"

Pros: "everything was great, more movie options would be better"

Pros: "Virgin is always well organised and the flights kept to time. The staff were very helpful and I had a comfortable trip"
Cons: "No complaints"

Cons: "Luggage of 23kg per piece and not able to share across allocated family total"

Pros: "Like the corporate image & modern design of different facilities etc. The check-in was nice & smooth."
Cons: "No greeting or smile from crew staff (I think it's important as it shows welcoming)."

Cons: "Waiting time on transfer Staff attitude"

Pros: "Flight crew were lovely."
Cons: "Got told to "sit back down and don't worry" when our first flight was delayed, after I asked the lady at the gate that we may miss our connecting flight. She put other customers on different flights to make their connections, but when I approached was denied, and ensured we would make out next flight. Missed the next flight and had to wait another 3.5 hours for the next flight, even after explaining the situation to a gentleman at the customer service desk, he said he could not help us, and gave my partner and i am $8 food voucher while we waited as a 'sorry'. Then on the way home another 30 min delay. horrible first experience flying, Was very disappointed in the customer service & missed my brothers wedding. I should have booked Qantas instead of Virgin."

Cons: "Flight was very bumpy, and the air inside the plane was stuffy. I felt nauseated all the way through from take off to landing"

Pros: "Agent service"
Cons: "No entertainment"

Cons: "I paid $65 for a seat with extra legroom, 13F, but at the airport found that I had been moved to 8A. Couldn't get my seat back, so spent 25 minutes on the phone to Virgin Australia today getting a refund."

Pros: "Reached Sydney, eventually"
Cons: "Hour late. Crowded plane, cramped. No service. Poor communication about delays."

Pros: "Efficiency at the check-in and the excellent service by the crew on board."

Cons: "The line for the Bag drop was much longer than anticipated (usually fly with Qantas which is v. quick & automated), meaning I nearly missed the flight."

Pros: "It didnt happen so not much"
Cons: "They cancelled the flight and didnt tell me. The only reason i knew is Tripcase sent me a notification"

Pros: "It was a full flight and all went smoothly"
Cons: "It could have been on time bu these things happen"

Cons: "Crew didn't come around enough with water"

Cons: "The coffee"

Pros: "Crew inside was nice"
Cons: "Weighing carry-on... people just took things and put them in pockets or wore them... so i find it useless and a waste of time and people’s satisfaction. Seats were extremely crammed and people behind kept kneeing my lower back."

Pros: "Staff were nice."
Cons: "The check in at Melbourne. It is not straight forward and took more time than using a check n counter. Was not on time and I had to pick up someone when i got ome."

Cons: "No in-flight entertainment, no even access to an App via your own Ipad"

Pros: "Quick check-in"
Cons: "The whole terminal is budget. Hardly any seating once you go through to the gates and its a 7-minute walk back to the food court. Nowhere to charge phones. Nothing complimentary on the flight so if Virgin or Qantas are around $20-30 more, do it!"

Pros: "not many sitting accommadtion chairs were at gate 47 Melb Airport no reading papers were available"
Cons: "not many seats at gate 47"

Pros: "The staff"
Cons: "The landing was super rocky"

Cons: "1 hour delay on take off"

Cons: "Rude service"

Pros: "Great staff"
Cons: "Delayed departure"

Pros: "The cabin staff were friendly"
Cons: "Plane was delayed due to excess baggage weight in hull. The baggage had to be unloaded and then reloaded again, while we sat on the tarmac for an hour."

Pros: "Smooth flying and arrived 30 minutes early."

Cons: "Jetstar's smooth checking in process, customer service, timeliness."

Pros: "Staff very professional, food is decent"
Cons: "Entertainment"

Pros: "Safe."
Cons: "Ended up on a Jetstar flight on a codeshare arrangement with our booked airline Qantas. The journey didn’t start well when our bags would not scan through the self serve checkin as we had not booked direct with Jetstar. We then asked for an aisle seat, but this was refused - the “customer service” assistant advised we should have paid extra to pre-reserve a seat (a no cost option on Qantas). Then when we entered the plane we found that both adjacent aisle seats were in fact vacant. Food was an additional cost item - on an 8 hour flight. Those unlucky enough to ask for a meal late found that there was nothing left for them. Entertainment was also an additional cost item - when paid for the selection was extremely limited, the system slow. The entertainment froze up requiring a reboot. Though not the airline’s fault, the person behind was very fidgety, making it very uncomfortable for anyone sitting in front of him. If the seats were slightly further apart we might not have had that experience either. All in all not the best, given that we had booked with a full price airline and ended up on a budget airline instead."

Cons: "I find the whole paying for all the extras a pain and probably won't do it again. Otherwise okay."

Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "Lack of legroom."

Pros: "Boarding was quick"
Cons: "Shame the staff were not more friendly, I took my rubbish to find a bin and the flight attendant expressed her annoyance and me. Asking her where I can put it. They don't smile and when you asked a question they treated me like I was a nuisance"

Pros: "Arrived safely, flight quick. Staff friendly"
Cons: "Price so costly for a quick trip for family function"

Pros: "Efficient on time departure and arrival. Good inflight entertainment"
Cons: "Credit card only for purchases without advance notice is a bit ordinary"

Pros: "Overall good"
Cons: "Staff appear permanently unhappy and like they don't enjoy the job"

Pros: "Good value"
Cons: "Configuration 2 3 2 and seat pitch and reclining"

Pros: "It was a good flight, good pilot"
Cons: "The flight was delayed It is a 7+ hour flight I think you could offer some snacks and coffee or tea for free At least one good movie for free Every airline I've chosen to fly with does it but Jetstar It was quite disappointing"

Pros: "I wish all airlines were as professional and prompt."

Pros: "Good entertainment, friendly crew"
Cons: "Not great food for money spent on meal-$24 for 2 oz of chicken and minimal sides; also charged double to get visa to get into Australia in the fi"

Pros: "it got us there"
Cons: "2.5 hrs late an no idea when we were leaving"

Pros: "Crew polite and competent."
Cons: "Seating cramped and uncomfortable."

Pros: "The smooth takeoff and landing, the staff cortesies"
Cons: "The 5min wait but perfect otherwise"

Cons: "Flight delayed out of Adelaide. Terminal 4 at Tullamarine is badly designed - drop of/fpick up long way from booking in and gates long way from booking in area. Disembarking on to tarmac in pouring rain unpleasant - no umbrellas"

Pros: "Good cabin crew. Clean modern aircraft."

Pros: "On time and efficient"
Cons: "Fees for checked bags"

Pros: "Crew were friendly and cheerful."
Cons: "Crew were not aware I had a starter plus package which included a food voucher. This often happens with Jetstar and is annoying when you have paid for the extras.
